    I found an image of the real medal with Google, then extended the ribbons, added the confederate flag, changed 'VALOR' to 'HAZZARD', and put Daisy's picture in the center.

    Thought it was about time I posted some more pics. I managed to get Boss and Rosco in their aerobics outfits for you MaryAnne. In the scene from 'Sittin' Dukes', Rosco is wearing his dressing gown complete with sheriff's badge. Is Rosco's gorilla costume the one that was used in the movie 'Trading Places'?. They look very similar. Did anyone recognise Flash in her disguise?.

    I'll see Roger's three cheers, and raise you three. HazzardNet is a great place to visit (or stay over some nights ). MaryAnne, Mufn and Brian have created a forum where people can share their likes and dislikes of not only the show that unites us, but outside interests as well, without having to worry that differences of opinion will result in childish personal insults. It proves there's a place for something G-rated that can be enjoyed by all.

    The song 'Why Can't We Be Friends' by War which is used in the Pepsi Max commercial is also used during the end credits of Lethal Weapon 4.

    Although some of my favorite episodes were filmed in California, they could have been even better if they were filmed in Georgia. Having said that, I doubt if we would have had as many seasons if they'd tried to keep it real by filming in Georgia, so I guess it's the lesser of 2 evils (just like we may have had only 4 seasons without Coy and Vance). I'm still voting for Georgia.

    Thanks for the link, I enjoyed the contrast of how some things have disappeared completely, and others have hardly changed at all. They seem to have been busy growing trees in Georgia . The California pictures were interesting too.

    bolukeduke and BL got it right. I'll give you 1/2 points Roger - if it makes you feel better, I thought 'The Sound of Music - Hazzard Style' was longest when I thought up this question. It was only when I checked before posting that I realised it wasn't . The longest are: Opening Night at the Boar's Nest = 26 The Sound of Music - Hazzard Style = 27 Cale Yarborough comes to Hazzard = 28 The Return of the Mean Green Machine = 30 The episode titles seem to get longer as the seasons go on. Season 1 had mainly short titles. I would have allowed 'Route 7-11' as the shortest as it contains only 5 letters. Now for today's question: Q. In 'The Dukes in Hollywood' the Dukes drive General Lee down Hollywood Boulevard and point out the Chinese Theater, but what film was playing?.

    BBC America is a cable/satellite channel showing British TV shows in the US - I just don't know how widely available it is. Another commercial I just remembered also highlights differences between the US and UK. The advert is for Walkers Crisps (potato chips), and stars one of England's all-time best soccer players, Gary Lineker. As well as scoring loads of goals, he is also well known for never receiving a booking from the referee throughout his career. The series of adverts was known as 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' (nice Dukes reference there ) because it was decided that Mr. Lineker (who was returning from Japan) should show he had a bad side (brought out by the chips) by stealing the child's chips at the end of the commercial. The company's US bosses thought it was a terrible idea that a soccer hero would steal chips from a child, so the ad company sneaked it by them. We Brits obviously saw the funny side because he still does the ads more than 15 years later.

    MaryAnne, I wouldn't call it cheating to have a list of episode titles by your side when you try to solve these - I can't always remember what they are until I've had a good look . It's a good rule of thumb that any anagrams with two 'Z's is likely to have Hazzard in the name, and most of the ones with 'K's have Duke/Dukes in them. I thought I'd better post the answers to the last set in an effort to break up the on-going dispute between Garrett and Roger. Don't you guys know - Dukes don't fight Dukes.     Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I'd seen some of the places on the DVD extra 'Back Where We Started: The Real Hazzard County' when Sonny and Ben did a short tour, but you covered many more. I know most of the outdoor places are public, but how hard was it getting to film inside the buildings and in the junkyard?.

    The laws over here are very different. Sometimes other brands are mentioned, but it is also quite usual for lines like '8 out 10 people preferred it compared to the leading brand'. Product placement has also been prohibited on TV. Things are set to change with commercial stations losing revenue to the internet. Of course the BBC does not show any commercials. I was watching a programme this morning where they referred to 'a well known brand of luncheon meat' without being able to name it - I'm assuming it was Spam. This policy is a bit ridiculous at times. In the '80s the BBC used to show the cartoon 'Top Cat'. Because there was a brand of cat food with the same name, the cartoon was referred to as 'Boss Cat' in TV listings and by programme announcers. If you remember the theme tune this led to the announcer saying '... and now on BBC 1, Boss Cat' immediately followed by 'Top Cat! The most effectual Top Cat! ...'. Is BBC America commercial free?.

    I had an idea for a thread like this a couple of weeks ago whilst driving. I promptly forgot all about it and can't even remember what advert prompted the idea - age does memory no favors . Garrett, I found your adverts on YouTube (neither of them made it over this side of the Atlantic): ESPN - NASCAR Haulers Race Pepsi MAX - Diner 2pointZero Both very funny. I think advertising law in the UK/Ireland prevents ads like the Pepsi Max one using a rival brand like that - the other guy would probably have to work for a generic cola company. The ad spoofs a 1995 original which I also found: Coke Vs Pepsi On TV here, adverts occasionally acheive cult status. One of the recent ones is a series of adverts for an insurance comparison website 'Compare the Market'. The adverts have now developed into mini epics - the sixth one is here: They even have their own spoof website (www.comparethemeerkat.com) - simples. I know most adverts don't cross the Atlantic due to different laws/products/humor. Some take ages - the Budweiser 'designated driver' advert with Cedric the Entertainer only aired here earlier this year. Here are a few old adverts I liked: Cadbury's Gorilla - part of an obscure series of adverts from around 2007: The gorilla suit was made by the legendary Stan Winston. Carling Black Label - very funny adverts for lager from the '80s:

    What a shame that the show was cancelled. I watched the videos from previous years and he seems to go higher and longer each year. I also looked through the 'Jump Car Build' photos - if you look at these it's easy to see the type of wrecks he starts out with. The one in the photos is a very battered/rusty '68 that gets just enough of a makeover to pass for a '69 from a distance. After looking at the pictures on the website the only thing I'd query is the use of a 2-door Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler Neon as a patrol car. Surely bigger 4-doors like the other one pictured aren't in short supply are they?
