Kevin Harvick has just claimed pole for the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington - he was also quickest in practice 1. Just for a change, Brad Keselowski starts all the way back in fifth! Garrett, I'm afraid it's mixed news for your drivers - Jeff Gordon starts in ninth, but Jimmie Johnson failed to make it through the first round of qualifying. Jimmie starts in 26th, two places ahead of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Lizzy, you've probably told us already, but which driver(s) do you go for? Here's the full lineup: 1 Kevin Harvick 2 Joey Logano 3 Aric Almirola 4 Marcos Ambrose 5 Brad Keselowski 6 Jamie McMurray 7 Ryan Newman 8 Kyle Busch 9 Jeff Gordon 10 Denny Hamlin 11 Paul Menard 12 Martin Truex Jr 13 Kurt Busch 14 Brian Vickers 15 Dale Earnhardt Jr 16 Clint Bowyer 17 Kyle Larson 18 AJ Allmendinger 19 Greg Biffle 20 Austin Dillon 21 Carl Edwards 22 Kasey Kahne 23 Tony Stewart 24 Justin Allgaier 25 Matt Kenseth 26 Jimmie Johnson 27 David Gilliland 28 Ricky Stenhouse Jr 29 Josh Wise 30 Michael Annett 31 Casey Mears 32 David Ragan 33 Danica Patrick 34 Alex Bowman 35 Landon Cassill 36 Dave Blaney 37 David Stremme 38 Parker Kligerman 39 Ryan Truex 40 Reed Sorenson 41 Travis Kvapil 42 Cole Whitt 43 Joe Nemechek Only David Reutimann failed to qualify. Remember y'all, this is a Saturday race at 6:30 PM ET on Fox.

That's a pretty comprehensive list, PJ. I only have a couple of small additions: Cletus wore a red and white plaid shirt with jeans in 'Enos Strate to the Top' in season 3. Cooter changed his cap regularly e.g. DOG, Red Rose Animal Feeds etc., so you can also narrow the time frame by checking his headgear.

This one may seem petty. In 'Carnival of Thrills', when Rosco arrests Bo and tows the General back to Hazzard, there is no way that a driverless General Lee could've got into the position seen in the picture below without being pushed there from close to where it ends up. Also, when the General runs into the patrol car, notice how the nudge bar, which is only welded to the bumper, nearly comes off after a very low speed collision.

Well Garrett, I hate to jump in here again, but I got to see most of the postponed race. I will admit I forget that postponed races start closer to the posted time, so I missed the first few laps. In this case the noon start suited my time zone, but it'll be a different story next week in Darlington when the 6:30 PM start means the racing will probably get under way around midnight my time! The race started under caution. From what I've read, a couple of the drivers were allowed to make a pit stops to reset cowl flaps without losing their positions. The green flag racing didn't last long because Junior hit the turn 1 wall on lap 13 and spent the rest of the race in the garage. Jimmie Johnson's car picked up damage from the debris and got a flat tire a few laps later which put him two laps down. The next section of the race was mainly led by Tony Stewart who was fighting with Kevin Harvick for first place. Because of the previous day's rain, there was a competition caution at lap 50. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had made his way up to 20th before the caution, but after it he quickly dropped to around 28th where he spent most of the rest of the race. There were green flag pits stops around lap 100, and NASCAR decided that a second competition caution wasn't needed. Tony Stewart dropped down the top ten allowing Brad Keselowski to take the lead with Denny Hamlin close behind. During this time, Jeff Gordon had been quietly making his way up the top ten, and managed to take the lead a couple of times before the halfway point. A few laps later, Denny Hamlin picked up a pit road penalty, but he managed to stay just outside the top ten. There was another caution on lap 176 as Kurt Busch slid into the infield and left debris on the track. Jeff Gordon won the fight off pit road, but soon lost the lead to Brad Keselowski. Kurt Busch had another slide on lap 220, bringing out another caution. There's not much to report for the next 100 or so laps. Then, just as Joey Logano was about to take the white flag, Kurt Busch hit the wall at turn 2. All the leaders pitted, and Brad Keselowski picked up a penalty for exiting too quickly. Trevor Bayne and Micheal Annett also got penalties for pitting too early. Jeff Gordon, who'd been running about 6th, gambled on only taking two tires, and came out in the lead. After the green flag he only held the lead for a short time before Joey Logano swept past and went on to take the green-white-checkered finish. Here's how they all finished (#s in brackets indicate laps led): 1 Joey Logano (108) 2 Jeff Gordon (40) 3 Kyle Busch (10) 4 Brian Vickers 5 Kyle Larson 6 Greg Biffle 7 Matt Kenseth 8 Clint Bowyer (1) 9 Paul Menard 10 Tony Stewart (74) 11 Kasey Kahne 12 Aric Almirola 13 Denny Hamlin (20) 14 Carl Edwards 15 Brad Keselowski (85) 16 Ryan Newman 17 Jamie McMurray 18 Martin Truex Jr 19 Trevor Bayne 20 Marcos Ambrose 21 Austin Dillon 22 David Gilliland 23 AJ Allmendinger 24 Justin Allgaier 25 Jimmie Johnson 26 Ricky Stenhouse Jr 27 Danica Patrick 28 Casey Mears 29 Michael Annett 30 Michael McDowell 31 Cole Whitt 32 Alex Bowman 33 Reed Sorenson (1) 34 Landon Cassill 35 David Ragan 36 Josh Wise 37 Travis Kvapil 38 David Reutimann 39 Kurt Busch 40 Parker Kligerman 41 Dave Blaney 42 Kevin Harvick (1) 43 Dale Earnhardt Jr According to the unofficial standings, Jeff Gordon now leads Matt Kenseth by four points with Jimmie Johnson down in seventh (although level on points with Junior in sixth).

Just in case anyone's wondering, today's race has been officially postponed due to rain. It will now take place tomorrow (Monday) at noon. Am I the only one to see the irony in having a race sponsored by Duck Commander postponed by conditions that are sometimes described as "nice weather for ducks"!

Yesterday I came across this picture of Sorrell on Ebay. It's from a 1976 ABC program called 'Zero Intelligence'. The notes on the back give a load of information about co-stars and air dates, but I couldn't find any trace of the show on IMDb. After a little Googling, I found it was an unsold pilot which was to star Sorrell as the base commander of a remote Alaskan US Air Force radar station. You can read more about it on Television Obscurities. In hindsight, it's lucky this wasn't a success, because it's unlikely that Sorrell would've made Dukes if it was.

Last year the race was controversially sponsored by the NRA. For the previous eleven years the race was the Samsung/RadioShack 500 (2002–2006), the Samsung 500 (2007–2009) and the Samsung Mobile 500 (2010–2012). This year it's being sponsored by the family from Duck Dynasty! Duck Dynasty stars to sponsor NASCAR race at Texas

Garrett, if you and Roger don't mind, I thought I'd use this thread to post something about NASCAR for a change . The qualifying was held earlier today for the Duck Commander 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway. It was Tony Stewart who claimed pole this week, although Brad Keselowski is back on the front row. Sorry Garrett, neither of your drivers made the top ten this week. Jimmie was fastest in practice 1 and seventh in practice 2, so he should do better in the race than he managed in qualifying. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was also faster in both practice sessions, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow . Here's how all the drivers line up: 1 Tony Stewart 2 Brad Keselowski 3 Kevin Harvick 4 Greg Biffle 5 Carl Edwards 6 Denny Hamlin 7 Trevor Bayne 8 Ryan Newman 9 Marcos Ambrose 10 Joey Logano 11 Kurt Busch 12 Jeff Gordon 13 Paul Menard 14 Kyle Larson 15 Jamie McMurray 16 Jimmie Johnson 17 Aric Almirola 18 Martin Truex Jr 19 Dale Earnhardt Jr 20 Austin Dillon 21 Casey Mears 22 Justin Allgaier 23 Brian Vickers 24 Danica Patrick 25 Clint Bowyer 26 Matt Kenseth 27 Michael Annett 28 Michael McDowell 29 Kyle Busch 30 Alex Bowman 31 Ricky Stenhouse Jr 32 Kasey Kahne 33 AJ Allmendinger 34 David Reutimann 35 Dave Blaney 36 Parker Kligerman 37 Travis Kvapil 38 Reed Sorenson 39 David Gilliland 40 Landon Cassill 41 Josh Wise 42 Cole Whitt 43 David Ragan The race is on tomorrow (Sunday) at 3:00 PM ET on Fox. My favorite headline on the NASCAR website this week was this one: Teams look up to 'Big Hoss' for strategy You'll have to click the link to found out how I'm not involved in any way .

Thanks for mentioning the Hazzard Square thread, Roth. It does include a load of businesses. There's another thread, started by CountyCommissionerKing, called Map of Hazzard County. It has a good list of people. businesses and locations.

Michael Schumacher's agent released a short statement earlier today as doctors try to bring him out of a medically induced coma. Sabine Kehm said: "He shows moments of consciousness and awakening. It's not much, but it's the best news we've had so far. More info here.

I knew I'd covered this building in the Hazzard Square thread, but I didn't have time to look for it the other night. It's the 'Tri-County Truck Sales & Rentals' building from 'Cooter's Confession'. My DVDs list it as episode 22 of season 6, but IMDb says it was episode 21. I agree with your location.

He did well to finish sixth. On lap 414, during the pit stops, he had his car spun around by Edwards. His crew ended up performing the pit stop with his car facing the wrong way (although legally inside his pit box)!

Sorry I didn't post this line-up last night. A combination of internet problems and wanting to be up early to watch the qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix meant that I didn't have time . Brad Keselowski's run of front row starts has finally come to an end as Kyle Busch claimed pole for the STP 500. Denny Hamlin missed last week's race due to having a sliver of metal in his eye. He was cleared to race on Wednesday and starts tomorrow's race in second. I'm sure Garrett will be happy to see Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon starting in the top five. Danica Patrick also qualified well in 10th. 1 Kyle Busch 2 Denny Hamlin 3 Joey Logano 4 Jimmie Johnson 5 Jeff Gordon 6 Matt Kenseth 7 Tony Stewart 8 Carl Edwards 9 Jamie McMurray 10 Danica Patrick 11 Greg Biffle 12 Clint Bowyer 13 Brian Vickers 14 Brad Keselowski 15 AJ Allmendinger 16 Ryan Newman 17 Marcos Ambrose 18 Kevin Harvick 19 Alex Bowman 20 Aric Almirola 21 Paul Menard 22 Kurt Busch 23 Casey Mears 24 David Ragan 25 Justin Allgaier 26 Dale Earnhardt Jr 27 Kasey Kahne 28 Kyle Larson 29 Travis Kvapil 30 Ricky Stenhouse Jr 31 Martin Truex Jr 32 Michael McDowell 33 Josh Wise 34 Austin Dillon 35 Cole Whitt 36 Landon Cassill 37 David Stremme 38 Ryan Truex 39 David Gilliland 40 Michael Annett 41 Parker Kligerman 42 Reed Sorenson 43 Joe Nemechek Sunday's STP 500 from the Martinsville Speedway starts at 1:00 PM ET, and will be live on Fox.

It's hard to get a good screengrab, but Bo and Luke share a horse in 'Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane'. After the bad guys cut the brake lines on the General, and Bo crashes it into a hay truck, they borrow Old Man Miller's horse to get back to the farm. (I wouldn't have remembered if I hadn't been watching that episode earlier to get screengrabs for another thread )

Welcome to HNet. If you want a black interior, then do it. General Lee replicas are thin on the ground here in Ireland, and the only one I've ever sat in (a couple of pictures here) had a black interior. I asked the owner about it, and he said he prefered it that way. A few owners try to get every detail right for a particular season, e.g. pushbar size, crossed flags decal, exact model of CB radio etc., but take a look at the parade of General Lees (below) and you'll see variations in color, different wheels and various other differences. Most are made to look like 1969 Chargers, but there are some 1968 and 1970 models in there too. My advice is to go with what you want. BTW, don't forget to post pictures of your build .

While watching 'Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane' I spotted the quote below: "Remember, you're Dukes first, and you dislike Rosco second."
-
As far as I can see, there is an "E" at the end of Rosco's name on the door sign throughout his first meeting with Sue Ann Bliss. But a few minutes later when his mama brings his lunch, the "E" has gone. In the second half of the episode, the amount of damage to the front of the General varies quite a bit from scene to scene.

Pictures of their appearances can be found here (scroll down for John).

Cooter's car in 'Duke vs. Duke' is a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle - you can find my Fan Art version here. I'll check out the interior shots. I'll have a look tomorrow and post screengrabs if they're clear enough. I've already posted a couple of screengrabs of this in another thread: A Bad Spell of Jesse!
