  2. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get ahold of some important people like Gy Waldron, executives at Warner Brothers and actors from the show and just ask them to make some calls for us. We could stress that we don't want them to make any financial donations, just make some calls. Folks are more apt to help if it's just their time they're donating and not money.....LOL Our next step should be to get a collection of phone numbers together!!!!
  3. Hey buddy. Check out the "Save the Duke Farm" thread on General Discussion. We could sure use your computer talents in being able to get ahold of the stars.

  4. Hi MaryAnne. If you get a chance check out the "Save the Duke Farm" thread on General Discussion. We could use all the help we can get. Any idea, no matter how crazy would be welcome.

  5. B.L. and Daisy got that tough one right. Nice job!! Here's two questions from "Repo Men". Which NASCAR legend drove the car (in a tire commercial) with the hot engine that was parked at Ace Parker's? A) Cale Yarborough Dale Sr. C) Richard Petty How many cars are in Ace Parker's inventory? 1) 4 2) 11 3) 33 4) none of the above
  6. Thanks SleepysRose. I'd like to get the name of the county the farm's in and make some calls. Maybe your dad could find that information since he's close by. If I knew which county it's in I could probably get on google and get a phone number. I sure would like to give Nash's grandfather a call. I hope Nash logs on soon. We don't have a prayer if he doesn't help.

  9. Please go down to General Discussion and click on "Save the Duke Farm" Hey Nash, make sure you go down and check it out. We can't do this without you. If you can, please post down there what the name of the county and closest town are.
  10. We are in danger of losing a piece of Americana. The original Duke farm is in jeopardy. Most of you know that the greatest show in the history of our planet originally began in northern Georgia with the first 5 episodes. The farm is now owned by the grandfather of a HazzardNet member, Nash. I don't know if there's anything we can do to save the farm from falling in but we can't just sit around and do nothing. Uncle Jesse would be so ashamed of us if we didn't put up a good old-fashioned fight. I'd like to see this thread become the most active one on the HazzardNet because this is a campaign we MUST win. We need to figure out a way to keep the Duke farm standing. There's more information on this under the title "Georgia Trip" at the top of the forum page but I thought this title would be more appropriate and I'd like to make it a starting point to begin our fight to preserve this irreplaceable historic landmark. Maybe we could call poiliticans in the state of Georgia and the county where the farm is located. If it was declared a historical landmark that would help. I know other homes that have been declared that....and they're not nearly as historical. Hopefully we can get ahold of some of the actors to get advice. I'm sure Ben, Sonny and John would be very interested. Hopefully we can convince Nash to log in a lot to give us more information. I'm open to all ideas but we MUST act!! Even if you do nothing else, read this thread often and let us know you care.
  11. I just noticed that this forum was originally set up because of Hurrican Katrina. Now it looks like there's another disaster coming New Orleans way. Unfortunately it's not just going to hurt them, but everybody who lives on the Gulf Coast. CNN is now reporting that there's a fear that the oil may even go around the Florida Keys and head up the Atlantic along the east coast. Let's hope that doesn't happen. This thing is already a big enough catastrophy.
  12. Considering how popular the Dukes of Hazzard was (and still is) I'm kinda surprised there's not any Dukes organizations in northern Georgia. After all, that's where it all began, not to mention how much the show celebrates southern culture. You'd think a Dukes club would be leading the charge to help. Would you mind if I got involved and tried to get ahold of some of the local politicians down there? I doubt if I can do any good but I sure don't want to sit here and do nothing. I think I'll start another thread.......let's see what we can get started.
  13. *after finishing the chores, getting something to eat and accomplishing a few more necessary tasks, I hop in the Mustang and head down the road. Half way there, it happens again....only worse. This time the muscle car loses all it's muscle and stalls out completely. First I groan. When it won't start. I then growl and pound the steering wheel*
  14. I'm so frustrated. I wish I didn't live 1000 miles away. As far as I'm concerned, the Duke farm is the most important place on earth. I wish everybody appreciated its importance. It would be nice if we could inform some of the stars about this situation.
  15. texasdaisy and B.L. got those 3 right. Which of these were on the show? Harvey Headlight or Freddie Fender Moonshine Mountain or Cottonwood Corners Hogg's Jewelry Store or J.D. Hogg Stereo and C.B. Shop

LOL Hey Garrett, don't apologize for talking too much about your favorite driver. He might not be everybody else's fave but we respect your loyalty. Hey, which Busch was it that you said picked the Dukes theme as his song? I appreciate your updates. I did get to see bits and pieces of the race after I got home but I was pretty busy Saturday.
  18. Hi buddy. Check out word association. Some idiot is trying to sell you.

  19. I still can't get over how tragic this it. I wish there was something we could do to help. Obviously there's not....but thank goodness we have each other on the HazzardNet to console ourselves. I just wish we could send her condolances. Dukes fans like us look at the stars of the show as more than just actors. We're not like fans of other shows. We are much more connected to them than other fans are. We really look at Catherine as a member of our family so when she's hurting we're hurting. We love you Catherine.

  21. hockey (Thanks T.J. Would you folks up there be interested in buying Michigan? I'll make ya a real good deal on it)
  22. B.L. and Lizzy got that one right. Too easy huh? Okay, you asked for it. When James Best's future wife Dorothy appeared in "The Rustlers" what was her real last name AND ficticious last name?
  23. Canada (Michigan is part of Canada isn't it?)
  24. Detroit (How'd you get Chevrolet out of Texas?...LOL)
  25. B.L., Lizzy and texasdaisy got it right. Hmm, maybe this one will be a little tougher. When the song at the beginning is playing and we see Luke hood sliding on the General Lee, what episode was that from?
