  1. Hmmm, no money for the orphanage or for a dirt bike for me? I'm sure glad I didn't get involved in this scam.

I know what you mean Garrett. Picking a feller only for his last name isn't exactly how I normally operate since I'm such a thinker. I couldn't find any other reason (at the time) to pick anybody else. If I knew which racer liked the Dukes of Hazzard the most I'd pick that feller. I wish I knew the drivers better. Where's Sunday's race? I actually have some time on Sunday so maybe I'll get to catch it.
  8. I like half of your idea Garrett but the half I don't like is where you keep the money for yourself instead of giving it to the Hazzard Orphanage. I thought yer Uncle Jesse brought you up better than that. *thinks a little longer* Wait a second, are you talking about a Harley or a dirt bike?

  13. Ouch. I don't know that one but I'll agree with Lizzy because 5 years does ring a bell. That's a great question GeneralLeeGirl

  17. Awesome. I chuckled the whole time. The guy singing that sure sounds like Sonny. Is it him? I sure wish I could get my hands on the old "Enos" season.

Well, I'm probably going to make some enemies with this post but the truth must come out. I want Jimmie Johnson to win it all. Early in the NASCAR season that Jimmie won his FIRST cup title, I picked him because I had made the decision that I would start following NASCAR that year and needed to pick a driver. I picked Jimmie simply because his name was Johnson, like Junior Johnson. That's not a very good reason to pick him since I'm sure they're not related but I had to pick someone to follow. I was surprised as anyone that he won it that year but I'm not egotistical enough to think that he won it because of his newest fan..LOL Well, as we now know, my pick turned out to be a good one and since I'm a loyal guy, I'm sticking with him. Normally I like to pull for the underdog but since everyone wants Jimmie to lose, I guess there has to be someone left to be his fan. I'm only posting this because I don't want anyone to think I'm picking Jimmie just because he's so good. I picked him BEFORE he was good. Of course, I never really did follow NASCAR much like I was planning on doing....but I did follow the points standings to see how Jimmie was doing. (Now that I've revealed publically that I'm pulling for J.J. he'll probably lose..LOL) Poor Garrett, no NASCAR this weekend. What are you going to do with all that extra time?

  21. For those of you who might have noticed my goof-up, Daney is a member of the thousand post club, not the thousand point club...LOL I'd correct it but it's past the deadline to edit.
  22. It's quiet. Too quiet. Them fellers must be up to something. That always makes me nervous.

  24. April 1st is Sadie Hogg Day in Hazzard County so things are always a little confusing around Hazzard on the first day of this month. One thing we're not confused about is how much we love DaneyDuke and that's why she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month for April 2010. Daney is one of the few folks still active on the HazzardNet who have been around since it's early years. She's certainly seen a lot since those good old days and she's hung around for many reasons, including the feeling that the folks here are like a second family to her. Combine that with the fact that the Dukes of Hazzard is the greatest show in history and that's all Daney needs to be dedicated for nearly a decade to the best website on the internet. When you log onto the HazzardNet you can see that she's all over the place on this great site. Like a Rosco P. Coltrane speedtrap, you never know where she'll pop up next. You can find her on fanfics, round robins and role plays. She's always updating folks on current events, talking in the chat room, or contributing to many various threads all over the HazzardNet forums. She has been a Dukes fan since the show was originally on CBS on Friday nights and loves every one of the characters (even Boss). She has met several of the stars and has attended the grandaddy of all Dukes events, the DukesFest. She loves the Dukes of Hazzard because it's family-centered, fun-filled and teaches the importance of good old-fashioned values. She is a member of the thousand point club with over 1,300 and is just getting started. She counts such episodes as "Daisy's Song", "Witness-Jesse Duke" and "Ten Million Dollar Sheriff" as some of her favorites. When she's not busy watching a Dukes episode or posting on HazzardNet, Daney spends her time reading, listening to music, taking pictures and swimming. The cold temperatures will soon be a thing of the past and spring is in the air. That always makes folks around Hazzard feel young and new. It's nice to have a few new members around here to make things exciting and fresh like spring. We always love new folks here. Daney certainly ISN'T one of those fresh faces in town. She's been around a long time and her input has been valuable in helping the moderators mold the HazzardNet into what it is today. For all her contibutions through the years, the new and old folks of HazzardNet are very grateful. You're awesome Daney! Thanks for all you do.
