  1. Smokey and the Bandit III (just a guess, I wouldn't advise anybody to follow my lead)
  2. Bo 36 Luke 28 Jesse 36
  3. That was really nice of you bolukeduke. The three of them have put so much time and effort into making this the best website on the internet and they can't be thanked enough. Three cheers for the three founders of the HazzardNet!! Thanks for all you've done and continue to do. This place means so much to so many of us!
  4. Okay, since the hen went to good use I apologize....
  5. *Just as Bo begins his phone conversation Jesse hears a vehicle and gets off his chair and walks outside. Jesse sees his old friend Andrew Harkness pull in the driveway with his beat up brown 1949 Chevy pick-up. Andrew stops the truck and gets out with a worried look on his face. He looks at Jesse then leans against his front fender and removes a handkerchief to wipe the sweat from his forehead* Jesse "How are ya doing Andrew? I ain't seen ya fer a few months now?" Andrew "I ain't doing so good old friend. My body's holdin' out perty well fer a feller my age but I think I'm losing my mind."
  6. Easy one? LOL Just on the top of my head I'll say... Repo Men The Sound of Music-Hazzard Style (I bet I missed them both)
  7. All 7 seasons in Georgia would have been so awesome!! I also loved all the emotions that were in "Ghost of the General Lee"...especially Jesse saying "There ya are! There ya are!"
  8. Brian Coltrane is the one that posted that. I'll look for it too.
  9. Wow, you got me on that one Hoss. I hadn't really thought about it. I can't speak for Ray so I'm only guessing here.... I wonder if he just gets what's available. Old Furys would look original but would take a lot more work to find. Plus they're heavy and you have to get them up to speed in a relative short distance so they'd need a big engine and that would make them more expensive. The Charger is heavy too compared to today's cars but he uses a muscular 440 ci engine so that makes up for it. Ray and his crew are pretty smart and I bet they've done a lot of research on how various cars would perform under jump conditions....not to mention what they've experienced themselves. The bottom line is that there's just more junkers laying around from the 1990s than the 60s. I'm sure there are newer heavier cars available that would look more like a Fury because of their size but I'm guessing they just wouldn't jump as well because of their weight and putting an oversized high performance engine in them would be expensive. It would also be impractical if the engine couldn't physically fit in. In the end I don't think it has an effect on the show at all. I talked to a lot of people at last month's show and I never even heard one person mention it. I'm sure people noticed that the cop cars were newer and smaller. They just didn't care because the rest of the show was just so awesome.

  11. Garrett, you've been watching too much NASCAR with all those guys wrecking and blaming someone else. It's starting to rub off on you. Now you're beating up poor innocent defenseless animals and trying to blame a poor sweet innocent Sheriff who was just trying to do his job and protect the good folks of the HazardNet from the criminal element who hangs out here....namely you. (I'm sorry but I never really thought you were that bad of a person until this hen incident)
  12. dukefan, you make a very good point about Ray's jumps ruining Chargers and I could see why you might think that but it's simply not true. Ray is also concerned about that, and he is very selective about picking a car for a jump. He has a General Lee show car that he takes to the events but the cars he jumps are anything but show cars. To be quite honest, they're pieces of junk. They look decent at a distance but they're loaded with bondo and sheet metal that can only be visible upon close inspection. The cars he picks up are ones that are in such bad shape they're not restorable. There's two reasons for that. He's a huge General Lee fan...one of the biggest on the planet. He doesn't want to ruin cars that could be restored. Also, '69 Chargers that are in great shape don't come cheap. Even if there were billions of Chargers left, nobody would wreck an expensive one when a cheap one would work just as well. Believe me, if I thought these cars were restorable I'd be upset too. Today I saw pictures of the jump car in the process of being prepared for the show and I inspected the car close up and it wasn't a car that anybody would fix up. If Ray wouldn't have bought it for the show, it would have just rotted away. Speaking of the show, it was cancelled because of rain. It rained for about 5 hours before the show, making the track unusable and unsafe. We were all pretty upset. On the bright side, I did get to spend several hours with some great people. I'm now a member of the stunt show so I'm thrilled. I spent the day doing a wide variety of odd jobs and loved every second of it until it ended with the cancellation news. I was especially thrilled when Ray asked me to come up with trivia questions for the audience to win prizes. Sadly, it never materialized though. Thanks Ray, for letting me be a small part of your great team! I picked up a 1:18 scale metal General Lee so I have a lasting memorial of my first day on the crew!
  13. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  14. *Jesse, his voice sounding troubled, shakes his head while still staring at the table* "I just can't figure out what the best thing to do is. I don't want to force my help on Molly but I can't sit back and watch something bad happen either. I think I'm just going to pack up some vittles and head on out there tomorrow and spend the day explorin'. Lord knows I wouldn't be able to live with myself if somethin' happened to those two and I didn't even try to help." *phone rings* "Bo, would you mind gittin' that?"
  15. I got ya good in the anagram thread *snicker snicker*

  16. These are just way too tough for me so I haven't been participating. Whatever part of the brain that is needed to solve these must be severely underdeveloped in my noggin because I just don't have the knack for them.... Plus I hate hearing about Garrett being mean to poor defenseless animals.
  17. Thanks for the update Garrett. I was gone all day and didn't hear any results until I saw your post. I see you finished your update with some bad news...no Sprint Cup next week. Well, remember what I told you last time....that just frees up some time for you to watch some of those NASCAR related Dukes episodes!! I know what you mean about the driver who started the problem getting away with minimal damage. That does always seem to happen a lot! Thanks again for your great report.
  18. Hi dukefan. It's great to hear from you. I sure miss you when you're gone and I celebrate when you return!! (Kinda like when Bo and Luke left in season 5)

  19. Bo 38 Luke 29 Jesse 33 I've checked evey single post for quite awhile to make sure people aren't making any mistakes so I'm certain things have been running smoothly. If BoJames wouldn't have caught those problems, I would have when I logged in later that night. As far as BoJames's comment about things going around in circles I understand what she meant. All three remaining characters were stuck in the 30's for quite awhile and the log jam finally broke when Jesse started dropping. Now that the old timer is back in the thick of things again. there appears to be the possibility that we'll be stuck again. I suppose something will happen to break that log jam. We'll see. Not knowing is part of the fun of it. But if it's not fun anymore, I can't blame someone for moving on.
  20. Hi Garrett. I see you're logged in now. I'm going to go update some posts but wanted to stop by and say hi. The stunt show got rained out but at least I got to hang out with some nice folks.

  21. Hey I'm finally going to get one right.... Buddy Holly. I just watched that episode 5 days ago but even I wouldn't have just seen it, I would have known that one!
  22. Here's the corrected scores Bo 39 Luke 31 Jesse 30 Here's how I arrived at that. The posts should have been... (starting with my last one at 1:17am)..post #519... 42 31 27 42 30 28 41 31 28 40 32 28 39 32 29 39 31 30 (this post) You'll notice that these all add up to 100 and take away the double point deductions. Personally I think that if somebody doesn't want to play they just should stop playing. That's the way it's been since it started. Folks who want to stick with it shouldn't be punished because someone is getting frustrated. On the other hand I respect and care about BoJames and Garrett enough that I'm not sure I want to continue if it's going to cause hard feelings so I'm kinda divided here. What do you think Meadowmufn? *all ears turn toward our Supreme Superior Commander*
  23. *Jesse hangs up hat on the rack and pulls out a kitchen chair, making a rubbing noise on the floor. He then sits down without sliding the chair back in and sighs. He looks at the apples on the middle of the table while talking, appearing to be in deep thought as he spoke* "I've known Molly since the day she was born. And I helped bring Alice into this old world. When her folks couldn't make it to the hospital, they stopped here. Yer aunt wasn't home so it was me who had to be the doctor." *Jesse paused for a moment* "I've never seen the look of fear on Alice like I did today. That girl ain't afraid to wrestle a ten foot gator but she's scared to death. Molly is just as scared. She won't say it but I can see it in 'er eyes. I got a terrible feeling something horrible is about to happen out there. I don't know what. Molly won't say nothin' and Alice is so out of her mind, she says there's some kind of swamp monster running around." *Jesse continued to stare at the table*
  24. I don't know but I'll guess A and H just for fun. I love "How Great Thou Art"...especially Elvis's version.
