*smiles trustingly at Garrett* "It's nice to know there's folks around like you that folks like me can depend on. Not just folks like me but folks like all those Hazzard County charities you helped" *gives Garrett a hug*
*looks at Garrett in surprise, not believing him* "I know I was grouchy but I really was exhausted. I'm sorry about that. I don't think it's very nice to make jokes just to get back at me...especially since things ain't exactly going good at the moment. In fact, this thing ain't going at all."
Happy birthday Uncle Jesse........90!!!!! I know I've said this many times but I just can't say it enough......... You are my hero. We'll meet ya at the Boar's Nest to celebrate. Garrett, it's Lilly. They live way down south in Dixie so we won't see her for her birthday since we're way up here on Lake Erie. Thanks for asking.
LOL Well compared to some of those "horrendous crashes" that take place in Hazzard County, I'd describe that crash as "little". I'll admit after Jimmie got knocked out of it I lost a lot of interest and didn't pay as much attention. Thanks for keeping us updated. So where's the next one?
That last one was pretty tough. I guess I'm usually too easy with my questions so it looks like I'm starting to overcorrect and get too tough. Here's another clue on that last one. Bo and Luke claimed that a mean Doberman ate some papers. They were driving a Rolls Royce when they made that claim (actually they weren't driving, they were standing on a country road by it)
*as if things weren't bad enough, my electrical system now malfunctions. I can smell wires burning but don't see any smoke. The CB doesn't work, none of the gauges work. When I turn the key it doesn't even make a clicking sound. I get out of the car, lift the hood and the smell of smoke is strong. I see a little smoke back by the firewall. It looks like an exposed wire has caused a short*
Well, I guess we really can't do anything unless Nash logs in again. This thing will go about as far as a Hazzard Country patrol car with four flat tires and no carbeurator unless Nash's grandfather wants to get involved. We've done everything we can do until we hear from him. Thanks again SleepysRose. You're a fighter who's not afraid to put an effort into a good cause Uncle Jesse would be proud. I suppose it might be time for us to consider we might be fighting a losing battle. I'm only considering it though. I'm still a long ways from giving up.
Thanks for posting that Alex. I don't normally click on links but I had to see that one. It's all so sad. I hate not being able to help her in any way besides prayer.....but I know I shouldn't underestimate it. She's such a sweetheart. It's so tough to see horrible things happen to nice people. We love you Catherine.
Ya got the second one right B.L. Richard Petty drove the race car. Not many people know that Jesse Duke invented ethanol. From "High Octane" how much was the prize to develop an alternative to fossil fuels? (in dollars) A) 10,000 20,000 C) 30,000 D) 100,000
Poor Jimmie Johnson had a little accident. Well, it's a good thing Jeff Gordon wasn't involved. It wasn't really anybody's fault. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. By the way, anybody else out there watching the race and hanging out on the HazzardNet too? Now, that's some seriousely fun multitasking!
Thanks for all your help and concern SleepysRose. Thanks for your input Brian. I'm sure you wish you had better news. I appreciate your thoughtful words and ideas. So much of this depends on Nash logging in and helping inform us a little better. We need as much information as we can get. I sure would like to get in the chat room with him one of these days. The big issue here is how bad the farmhouse is physically. If it falls down it would be tragic. I know there was only 5 episodes filmed there but it's still where it all started. Some presidents didn't live in their birthplaces for long but the house of their birth is still a celebrated and historic building. If the Dukes farmhouse is beyond repair then my next question would be about the barn. Saving it would be a consolation. Losing everthing on the original farm wouldn't be as tragic as when we lost some of the stars but I for one, will shed a tear if I knew the Duke farm was no more. Part of me would die too, just like it did when we lost Jesse, Boss and Waylon.
I'm Red, White and Blue (Loretta Lynn) (I did this one before but it was so cleverly written it bears repeating. Loretta Lynn is part Native American, she's obviously caucasion and she was sad at the time)
texasdaisy got that one right. Normally you don't hear brand names mentioned on a TV show but on this Georgia episode, Cooter mentions Hooker and Eldebrock headers to Enos. Enos wants them put on the patrol cars. (for those of you who don't know what headers are, they're the exhaust pipes that come directly out of the engine. They're designed to make cars go faster and be louder)
