  1. My wife and I rented "The Taking of Pelham 123" tonight. Normally I don't read credits at the end of a movie but for some reason I caught these. After the name Gary Baxley caught my eye I backed it up to make sure I read it right. After that, I went to his bio on the internet, and sure enough, Hazzard County's very own Gary Baxley was one of the stunt men on that movie. I wish I would have know which stunt (or stunts) he did. It's always a thrill to see a Hazzardite's name on the screen when you're not expecting it.
  2. Hi T.J. You're sure a welcome new addition to the HazzardNet. I sure hope ya hang around a long time.

  3. I gotta hand it to you T.J., you're braver than me if you tried that. I've only seen the show once but anybody that would do that has guts. Don't get me wrong, I'm no wimp. I'd risk my life to protect my family and friends or even a stranger in some cases but I'd never drive in some of those conditions unless I had to. How often is that on?
  4. I know the answer to this one but since it's your first question I'll wait to see who else gets it. You're off to a great start. I knew I had no reason to worry. (Just kidding, I'm shaking like a nervous leaf in a tornado)
  5. Happy Birthday Cale Yarborough!! (March 27) Meet ya at the Boar's Nest for a buttermilk. Watch out for those speed traps on the way. I think Rosco has one set up on Old Post Road.
  6. Bo 17 Luke 15 Daisy 11 Jesse 14 Cooter 14 Boss 4 Rosco 11 Enos 14 I gave one to Enos and took one from Boss
  7. Thanks for knowing how I feel T.J. It's getting to the point that poor people can't even work on cars anymore. It's a good thing there are no computers in Hazzard 'cause poor Bo and Luke would have never been able to afford to work on the General if it had all the gizmos on it that these modern monstrosities do. If I looked under the hood of a 1969 Charger I'd be able to tell you what 95% of the things are and what they do. If I looked under the hood of a new car, I bet I wouldn't know 5% of what's there. You can't even see spark plugs anymore, let alone replace them. I used to be able to change starters, distributors, alternators, fuel pumps, carburators, water pumps and power steering pumps. Now I can't even find them. (I've looked all over the place for the carburator on my fuel injected Volvo but it's nowhere to be found...LOL)
  8. B.L., GeneralLeeGirl and texasdaisy got it right. Hey folks, instead of a question, here's a declaration. Somebody else is going to be posting trivia questions for awhile. I'm not really sure how long, only time will tell, but it's going to be fun for me ANSWERING questions for a change (and showing people how bad my memory is). All I can say is buckle up for safety, this could be a rough ride. (Just kidding the trivia thread is in good hands)
  9. You Ain't Woman Enough (Loretta Lynn)
  10. LOL It was so funny that Cooter thought it was fun (and not serious) to do something like that. Here's some comments about "Days of Shine and Roses" 1) I too loved the old footage of Boss and Jesse. 2) It was awesome that Bo and Luke had so much respect for their elders that they wore ties to see the old film. 3) Jesse and Boss were living their second childhood---great stuff! 4) I loved Cooter's comment when one of the boys called him a genius for getting the Mustang to run so well "And I've always been known for my good looks" 5) What a classic battle for car buffs...a Mustang vs a Camero. Of course neither of them cars would have stood a chance against a Charger 6) Watching Bo and Luke helping Jesse without him knowing, so as to not hurt his pride was cool 7) Seeing Rosco in civilian cloths was rare 8) What an action scene where Cooter had to replace the shine with water on the moving vehicles....whew! 9) 5 out of 5

    Sports

Is anybody following March Madness? It's amazing how the elite teams are losing and getting knocked out. I'm rooting for West Virgina because my daughter went there and the "Mountaineers" are a redneck sounding name LOL Their next team is against the highest ranked team left, Kentucky. So, the Mountaineers got their work cut out for them. It looks like me and Lori Davenport (from Hazard Kentucky) are going to be fueding, just like the Hatfields and McCoys.
  12. I Love the Rainy Night (Eddie Rabbitt)
  13. Bo 15 Luke 14 Daisy 11 Jesse 13 Cooter 13 Boss 7 Rosco 11 Enos 12 Cletus 4 I took one from Cletus and gave it to Jesse. Should we stop listing Coy and V?...or can they still get points?
  14. B.L. and texasdaisy got two right. Tullahoma is where Luke's brother Jud came from. Virginia City is from the old western series Bonanza. Which of these were on the show? Vern Gosden or Vern Baskins Bottomless Lake Mining Company or Howard Vesper's Welding Shop Holly Comfurt or Vito Corleone
  15. You're Lookin' at Country (Loretta Lynn)

  19. LOL

    Gotcha Garrett!!

(Check out Emy's response to "guys...." )

  20. Thanks Emy but are you talking about everybody? Maybe you don't know Garrett as well as I do.
  21. Hey, I see you're logged in now!!

  23. I agree. That one gets 5 stars. I love the Georgia episodes so much. I feel like a real resident of Hazzard County when I watch them because where I live looks so much like those first 5 episodes. There's so much else I like about that ep. Bo's line about his ego is hilarious. "I've been working on it for years" In a rare instance, the boys talk about their fathers when they mentioned to Enos that they ran shine with Enos's father. Also, did you notice they spelled Roscoe with an e on the big sign at the end? Of course, those are some trivial little things. On a larger scale, the plot was excellent...very clever writing. It set the tone for what we love about the Dukes.... plots that are clever and interesting but not too complicated. I love your last line bolukeduke, well said. You're a true Dukes fan. I watched "Days of Shine and Roses" last night. We'll see if anybody else has more comments about this one before I post a review.
  24. John turns 50 in April (and so do I) Lulu has a birthday on March 31 but since I said "Dukes" star I guess I'll give it to you. (Good thing I'm not a teacher because I'd be way too soft when it comes to tests.) Sorry GeneralLeeGirl. I hope your mom's not mad I gave her age away. LOL On "Days of Shine and Roses" who drove the Mustang and who drove the Camaro?
