  2. The older skinny man pleaded his case to Rosco "Now I'm really sorry about this Sheriff but I can't hardly help it. I think she has the vapors. I replaced the fuel filter and tuned her up this morning. She was running fine until a mile ago. Besides, I had my four way flashers on so it really ain't my fault." Enos "That's what I told you Sheriff. He has his four way flashers on just like the law says he's supposed to" Rosco was irrated with his deputy "Hush you dipstick. Don't forget who yer superior commander is. Superior means your opinion is inferior so you should hush!" Enos tightened his lips and looked down at the dirt road in submission. Rosco stood there for a second thinking and then smiled "Well after giving it some thought I think I'm going to have to give you tickets for illegal parking, creating a traffic hazard, impeding traffic, having an unsafe vehicle and disorderly conduct. Khee Khee!" The man responded with alarm in his voice "But Rosco! I ain't got the kind of money to pay all those fines. Business has been bad lately and I'm flat broke. In fact, I'm broker than broke." Rosco displayed a clever smile "I tell you what then. Maybe....just maybe we can work something out"
  3. Well then I guess I'm going to call you that too. Now that you're into it a little more deeply is the car in better or worse shape than you originally thought? So, do you think this is going to be a project that will take several months? Keep up the good work Cooter!
  4. Nice job Hoss. I haven't been to a demolition derby in years. That sounds like something I might want to do this summer.
  5. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  6. Welcome to Hazzard County Ed. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Thanks for serving your country. I agree with you that the older shows are better!!! Roger
  7. You're off to a great start! It looks kinda weird seeing the General on his side! Thanks for posting the pics. This going to be fun (especially since I don't have to any of the manual labor)
  8. rattlesnakes Luke didn't like Elmer that much. He was always slithering around and never said much!

  10. Hey DukesLuvah, I'm writiing this post just to update the thread and get it to the front page so it's easier to find.
  11. Welcome to the HazzardNet. Regarding your question, do you mean interest in his music or interest in Tom being in the Chat Room? The answer is yes to both. If you pull off getting him in the CR, the more advanced notice we'd have the better. Hey, if you get a chance go down to Tom's forum and click on my thread "Would You have Raced Luke?" I moved it to the front page so it's easy to find. Let me know what you would have done. Maybe I can get Tom to answer it someday!
  12. I love this thread Hoss!
  13. Hey DukesLuvah, I see you're from L.A. Have you seen Hoss's thread "Hazzard Square"? If not, make sure you check out the first post from April 3 Have you visited the old town of Hazzard?
  14. Walrus (I'm pretty sure female walruses are called cows)
  15. I don't know but welcome to the HazzardNet!

  16. I don't like to pay too much attention to bloopers but I have to admit I can see why it's fun. My two favorites are when Daisy is talking to Jude Emery at the end and her mouth doesn't move. Also, on "Follow That Still" it's pretty funny when contraband cigarettes are flying out of the APC just before it hits the Boar's Nest even though everyone has already bailed out.
  17. I should know this one since I love country singers from the 70s and 80s so much. I think it's Mmmmmel.
  18. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  19. I got my six boards in the mail today and I love them! At first I was worried that when they arrived I'd be too sad about the farm being tore down to enjoy them but that wasn't the case at all. Fortunately we've had a couple years to emotionally prepare for the loss of the farm after NASH became a HazzardNet member and warned us it really couldn't be avoided. I've accepted the fact that the farm is history. I'm still saddened but there's nothing I can do about it and have no choice but to move on. Owning the boards is tremendously comforting. I hate traveling so I never got to see the farm but holding (and owning) something that is a piece of Dukes of Hazzard history is a very special feeling. I really can't describe it. Calling it spirutual isn't right because God is much more important than anything on this Earth but in a Dukes of Hazzard perspective, I guess I would descibe it as almost spiritual. After all, the farm in Georgia is where it all began. The Georgia episodes started something that has had a profound influence on my life. After God and family I can think of nothing else that has influenced my life more than the Dukes of Hazzard. More than three decades after those 5 historic episodes in the Georgia farmhouse, that's still true. Thanks so much to DoubleShot for originally making the story about the farm available on this thread. Thanks to Chuck Hewatt for giving us the opportunity to own a piece of history. For any of you still considering owning something, you can go back to the original post on this thread and then e-mail Chuck at hollis42@comcast.net. I'm not sure what's still available but time's running out. Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. By the way, after corresponding with Chuck via e-mail I had no doubts about the authenticity of the boards but he sent 6 certificates that were notarized by a notary public from Walton County Georgia.....very professional! I'll value my treasures forever. I'm sure a lot of folks wouldn't be able to understand why....but that's one reason I love the HazzardNet so much...you folks get it!

  21. What a great idea for a project! Hoss's Hazzard Square information stuff is awesome. If you want to learn more about the County (and not town) go to the hobbies forum and scroll down to the map of Hazzard thread. There's a lot of information there including a list of all the episodes that had maps on them. I realize you're more interested in a town map but I just thought I'd let you know about this anyways.
  22. I actually thought about it but decided against it. I was wondering myself if it's been sold yet.
  23. You can't even take a picture of Roger Rabbit? (You can bet I got called Roger Rabbit a lot when that movie came out)
  24. With Enos in the passenger seat Rosco was kicking up dust heading northeast on Old Hickory Stump Road. Enos "So, what's yer plan Sheriff?" Rosco "I ain't got no plan you dipstick!" Enos "Uh, where we going then?" Rosco "I just figured maybe we'd drive around and we just might git lucky and bump into something" Seconds later Rosco went around a curve a little too wide and sideswiped a parked truck. The beat up old brown Ford F-150 had it's hood up with a skinny older man looking at the engine. Neither vehicle was hurt but Rosco was embarressed. Enos "It looks like you bumped into something Sheriff" Rosco "That's enough out of you, you looney tune. Now come help me out. I'm giving this feller a ticket fer illegal parking." Enos "But Sheriff he's broke down so it ain't hardly his fault. Besides that, you was going too fast around the curve and he has his four way flashers on." Rosco "Just hush Enos! Hush" Both lawmen got out of the car and approached the broke down truck. Rosco "Oh good grief. What are you doing here? This old jalopy's broke down again? I'm going to have to ticket you." The man responded.......
