  4. The writing was just as good even though Coy and Vance weren't as good of actors but I'll give them credit. They did a great job under the circumstances. Also, season 5 brought us great episodes like Lawman of the Year, Enos in Trouble, A Little Game of Pool, Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke and Daisy's Shotgun Wedding. Besides, if season 5 wouldn't have happened, the whole show might have been canceled and then we wouldn't have 6 and 7.
  5. Very impressive Hoss! I remembered the last name but not the first. What a coincidence! Or is it? It makes me wonder who the writers were.
  6. Business Week magazine recently did a story titled "The South is Spreading" on page 88 of their 4/25-5/1 issue. Apparently American southern culture is the latest global craze. Music, fashion, entertainment and food from dixie are speading like wildfire around the globe. For example, the Bellamy Brothers were recently "treated like Elvis" in places like Sri Lanka and South Africa. They gave a few reasons for the phenomenon but the one I liked most is the fact that the world has gotten crazy and folks around the world are looking for a simpler, relaxing and fun way of living. Apparently they've discovered it in Dixie and all I can say is...maybe there's hope for this old world yet. I wonder if this means that the Dukes of Hazzard are about to see a global surge. We've certainly been lucky enough to have fans from around the world here on the HazzardNet. Maybe we'll be seeing a lot more of them if lots of new fans discover our favorite old show. (although DOH still feels new to me) Hey, here's an idea, Warner Brothers could do a Dukes cartoon where they ride the General Lee around the globe promoting a Dixie lifestyle. Woops, never mind. It's already been done.

  9. Happy birthday Uncle Jesse (May 11) You'll always be my hero. While I'm on the subject of my hero it seems as if I've been giving him credit for something he didn't deserve. I always said that he should be credited for inventing ethanol in 1979 on "High Octane" but my wife just saw an episode of the Waltons where Jim-Bob and a moonshiner named Yancy invented it. Yancy said "It's better to have drunk cars than drunk drivers." The episode was called "The Beau" and it was from 1978.
  10. Wow Brian, this quote is brilliant.....very inspirational! I'm not the type of person to give up easy. After over 6100 posts here on the HazzardNet I'm still trying to write one that makes sense. It might take a few more years of trying but I can just imagine how good it's going to feel when it happens!
  11. I think it was Cooter but Hoss doesn't usually list the correct answer as the last choice. I'll say Cooter anyway. That reminds me of a quote from a poem by the famous Sir RogerDuke... Oh what a tangled website he weaves, when Hoss's trivia tries to deceive. (I have a patent on that quote so if anybody wants to repeat it you'll have to pay me. Just send the routing number of your banking or checking account to Roger Duke, Hazzard County USA and I'll take care of taking the appropriate amount of money out)
  12. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  13. The lady in black? I didn't know Abraham Lincoln Hogg was married. Do you like night races Garrett? How many do they have a year? HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRETT DUKE!!!!!!!! Go Jeff Gordon!!!!!!!!!! (I don't really want him to win, I'm just saying that as my way of giving you a birthday present since I'm too cheap to buy you anything)
  14. I thought that orphanage looked like Boss's house so I'm not surprised. I am surprised to see that the haunted house was in town. They did a great job of making it look like it was in the country. Thanks Hoss!
  15. Happy birthday Garrett!!!

  16. Funny Hoss! You crack me up.
  17. MaryAnne got it first and without any help but, since you requested it, I'll reveal the answer.... Diane Benson from Carnival of Thrills.....shucks, I can't think of her real name. My wife told me yesterday and I already forgot....wait, it's on the tip of my tongue...shucks, lost it again.... I don't know the bonus but I bet it was a Walt Disney film.
  18. Seattle (isn't that where the Washington Monument's at?) LOL
  19. The older man responded "I sure hope so sheriff. I'll do just about anything to get out of paying those fines. I just ain't got no money and I sure don't want to go to jail to pay my debt to society." Then the old man mumbles "Even though I ain't done nothing wrong." Rosco responded sharply "I heard that Amos Stigger. I'm the sheriff around these parts and if I say you've done something wrong then you've done something wrong. Khee Khee! Got that?!" "Uh, yes sir sheriff sir. Now what is it that I can do fer ya?" "Ya got any gas in your plane?" "Yes sir, a full tank. Enough to last all day if I had to. Why? Ya know someone who needs their crops dusted?" Rosco responded "No, I don't know nobody who needs their crops dusted. I need to commandeer that flying vehicle for official police business. Now let's get your piece of junk pick-up off the road and get me up in the air. Enos, you stay here and monitor the CB in the patrol car." *One hour later. Amos Stigger and Rosco were airborn in the two-seater crop duster*
  20. This thread is amazing Hoss. I'm so impressed that you've taken the time to research all this. You are a true fan.

  22. My wife did some investigating and found out who it is but I'll hold off to give someone else a chance. She said she was a bad girl on General Hospital. (just the opposite of HazzardNet's good girl, MaryAnne)
  23. Welcome to Hazzard County EDGEFIND. You're going to love this place. It's nice to know there's folks like you out there who are bringing their kids up with quality TV. I see you're a Buckeye. I live in PA but I'm not too far from Coneaut Ohio, up on the shores of Lake Erie.
