  1. Grady was the night watchman at Boss's gravel pit. (I just saw it Thursday! I started watching the episodes in order starting Jan 1 and lucky for me I'm at the end of season 2 right now. If you want to throw me a curve ball, you'd better switch to a different season! Which reminds me, I have to post a good Boss quote on his thread)
  2. Jimmy Carter (world's most famous PEANUT farmer and former president when "Limo One" was filmed)
  3. At first I thought he was playing Bo but I don't think there was a scene where Bo wasn't with Luke in the General. So, that must be the scene at the end we were just talking about where Daisy caught that dirty scoundrel Roger.
  4. I agree completely Gray Rider. Even though NW Pennsylvania (where I live) is a long ways from northern Georgia, the landscape looked the same as my small town and that's why I loved those episodes so much.....especially the woods at the still site on "High Octane". It would have been awesome if all 7 years were filmed in Dixie Oh well, I guess we should be thankful we had 5 episodes.
  5. I was just sitting here posting an answer on the trivia thread right now and my wife was sitting on the couch. She turned the channel (Dish Network) to channel 275 titled NEW. She turned it there because "INFO" said it was Kenny Chesney. Turns out it was mislabeled. John Schneider is hosting a program that is advertising a set of country DVDs from the 70s and 80s. In fact, Waylon was just on singing Luckenbach Texas. They just had the Oak Ridge Boys on also. As most of you know they appeared twice on the Dukes. Great....now Waylon and Willie are singing "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies...." This is pretty cool. It's my kinda music. It's distracting me from HazzardNet though. Now John just said the name of the show is "Country's Got Heart."
  6. Racing was big news in the media today. USA Today's front page cover story was about NASCAR. Specifically they addressed the contoversy that NASCAR has become too safe (if that's possible). They begun the story talking about today being the tenth anniversary of the death of Dale Earnhardt. Also, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams did an interview with Jeff Gordon talking about his involvement with children's health and how he got interested in it. I imagine the USA Today story is available on their website.
  7. Great point Daisy...you're a smart one! Garrett, it didn't really upset me. I guess I was just pointing out a possible blooper but we'll assume Daisy is correct and look at the positive side of it. I just found it funny that guys my age are old enough to be cast as VietNam vets in a show.....LOL....I'm getting old. In fact, I've never been this old in my life.
  8. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  9. Welcome to Hazzard County MT83!!!! So, did you end up finding the game? I sure hope so.
  10. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  11. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  12. Garrett, Are you sure it was just cardboard? Did you go up to it and touch it? Maybe it was really Jeff. If it is just cardboard maybe you should head down there and ask them if you can have it whenever they're done with it. A lot of times things like that just get thrown out. Don't get your hopes up. Somebody else has probably already got dibs on it. I wonder if those good folks at Wal-Mart know that Kurt Busch won the race and not Jeff Gordon. I think I'm filing a complaint.
  13. John playing a Vietnam vet?! Wow, that's quite a stretch. John turned 50 in April (7 days before I did) so he graduated from high school in 1978. While the war officially ended in 1975 it had been a few years prior to 1975 that American troops were there. The youngest (combat) VietNam vet I know is currently around 60 years old. (Please feel free to correct me if anybody knows one younger). If John looked OLDER than his age he might be able to pull off the role of a VietNam vet but since he looks YOUNGER than he really is, casting him as the part sure seems like a stretch to me. Was he made up to look older? It was kinda hard to tell just by this one picture but he sure doesn't look 60. Of course if it was from 2007 he was 47. Sorry for being critical of the casting. I bet it was a great show. Anything John does is awesome. I bet that playing a VietNam vet made him feel old!
  14. I just got done watching "Follow That Still." I love the part where Luke is driving the APC down Seminole Hill and Rosco has his patrol car parked between two boulders to stop it. When the brakes of the APC give out and it crushes the patrol car, I crack up every time I see Rosco's reaction. When Rosco pops up from behind one of the boulders he looks like a gopher popping up out of his hole with his eyes bugged out! LOL Since he did say "Screeeee!" I guess that officially qualifies this to fit in the favorite quotes thread.
  15. We have a dog named Daisy.... an outside wild cat named Flash.... another dog (may he RIP) named Bo.... and (saved the best for last) a grandson named Luke who was born on Waylon's birthday.
  16. I'm sure impressed by you folks. I only had one channel growing up so I missed a lot of shows. It was an NBC affiliate. I had to go to my grandparents house every Friday to watch Dukes. I doubt I'll be able to get any of these but I'm enjoying being a spectator on this thread!
  17. I just got done watching "Duke of Duke". At the beginning of the episode Bo decides to race the new feller in town. That new feller is an imposter named Roger Blevins pretending to be Duke Gaylord Duke. (just my luck, the only Roger to ever be on the show is a bad guy) Anyway, Bo was shocked when Roger's little imported car pulled away from the General like it was standing still. Bo's reaction was "I sure hope we don't run into him at the race Sunday." Luke responded "Ya can't hardy run into what ya can't catch." LOL Of course at the end of the episode when Daisy was driving the General Lee she easily caught that little car. Either Roger was having car trouble or Daisy's a better driver than her cousin!
