  1. *Rosco holds his hand out while turning his head the other way, looking toward the direction he could hear the General Lee. The General distracted him enough that he didn't hear Jeff introduce himself. Rosco had trouble focusing on anything except the fact he might get fired unless he could convince Boss that the latest wrecked patrol car wasn't his fault. He knew all too well that it was his fault but he didn't want to get fired. Besides, he thought to himself, this guy looked like he had money enough to pay for the damage to both vehicles. Before looking at the license, Rosco faced the stranger again "All right mister, as soon as I get the information here on who exactly you are, I'm arresting you for assaulting a police officer with a vehicle since this was all your fault. Where'd you get this drivers license at anyway, a Cracker Jack box? There's no drivers test instructor I know who would pass you. You clearly have no driving skills whatsover. In fact, of all the folks that have passed through this county since cars were invented, I bet you break the record for the person with the least driving skills."
  2. Impressive! But then again, impressive is what Hoss does best!
  3. So, when James Best got zapped did he say "That'd of killed ten ordinary men"?
  4. I sent Mr Hewatt an e-mail and I'm ordering a couple pieces of the chimney. I asked him if there were any unusual pieces available, like door knobs or anything, and he said they're all spoken for. Later I thought about it and I realized he must be a pretty honest guy. If he wasn't he would have just gotten any old door knob and sold it to me claiming it was from the farm. With that thought in mind, I recommend anyone who's looking for a piece of Dukes history, take advantage of it while you can. The farmhouse is where it all began. Since the farmhouse can't be saved at least we have a chance to get some souveniers from it. The whole thing makes me very sad but unfortunately it can't be prevented. I know HazzardNet member NASH tried to save it and I appreciate his efforts. It's like losing a member of the family.
  5. Sorry to hear that Lizzy. We have a satellite dish since we live way out in the woods and cable isn't available. CMT's pretty popular...even for people who aren't Dukes fans.....If I were you I'd call them to complain. If they get enough calls they might listen and bring it back. It might take awhile though, depending on what their contract's like. Good luck.
  6. *Upset with the stranger's attitude, Rosco stepped on the wallet, grinding it into the mud, pretending it was an accident.* "Khee Khee! Now if your attitude was a little better there buddy I probably would have been better focused on what I was doing and not accidently stepped on that thing. Now I have two suggestions if you want to stay out of jail. First, pick up yer wallet....it's a mess, Khee....next drop that snotty attitude of yours and start show a little more respect to authority....that would be me....Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. I'm the only thing keeping you from serving 5 years in prison for intentionally smashing into a patrol vehicle being driven by an officer of the law."
  7. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  8. I forgot that channel 9 was used on the show also. It was (and I assume still is) the emergency channel and was only supposed to be used for genuine emergencies. In fact, law enforcement used to monitor it and abusing it was an FCC violation. Since the 1980s was the transitional period when we started getting cheap stuff from China instead of Japan, I'm going to guess Japan just to be different. I should remember though since I just saw that episode a month ago.
  9. Knowing that Boss would likely fire him if he wrecked another car, Rosco had no choice but to pin this one on the out of towner. "Arrrre you kiddin' me feller?! I don't know who you think yer talkin' to but I'm Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane and yer in Hazzard County now stranger. Now if yer planning on giving me a bad attitude from the big city yer in for a surprise here. Now I was going to give you a little break, even though all this was yer fault, but since you seem to have some kinda chip on yer shoulder, you done used up all my patience and I just might throw the book at you if you don't straighten up real quick. Now I suggest you reach in that back pocket of yers and pull out yer wallet and hand me yer drivers license so I can find out who ya are, and where yer from.....and after that yer gonna tell me why yer drivin' through my county so recklessly. Now I suggest you git that license in my hand quick or your hands are going to be in cuffs. Khee Khee! "
  10. prison (LOL I was thinking of her Hoss)
  11. I haven't asked you a NASCAR trivia question for awhile Garrett. I don't understand why some drivers excell at a short track and other good drivers don't. Is it because of the car or the driver or both?
  12. The story as I understood it....is that it's a historical landmark because of it's Civil War history but since no organization has money to restore it and it's in danger of falling in, it's permissible to tear it down. Hopefully we'll get clarification from Nash or someone else who knows for sure.
  13. Thanks for the update Garrett. I caught bits and pieces including the end. As I recall, didn't they say Kyle has won the last 4 out of 5 races there?
  14. It's good to see you posting MaximRecoil. We hope to hear a lot more from you.
  15. I want to buy some items as well. It will be a little consolation. I'm taking this pretty hard. That might sound silly to some people but I know you folks here understand. I had considered making a trip down there someday but losing the farmhouse takes a lot of the incentive away. Once again, thanks for informing us DoubleShot.
  16. He's a cutie alright! I hope his party is fun and doesn't get as rough as the last HazzardNet Christmas party did. Hey, my wife lived in El Paso when she was still in school. Her dad was in the Army and was stationed there.
  17. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  18. That's a toughie. I know the Dukes used channel 22 a lot. As I recall they also used 14, 19 and 1. Channel 2 does sound familiar but I'm going with 19.
