  1. Thanks for the info on the differences between the different year Chargers. Has anyone seen the Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial with the Orange Charger pulling into the drive-thru? I only saw it once and I wish I would have paid a little more attention but it's front end shows that it's a 1970 or newer.

  3. Hoss, I've seen a lot of things on the HazzardNet in the five years I've been here but considering how much admiration and respect I have for these two men, this is BY FAR the most awesome thing ever. Thank you so much. I REALLY REALLY appreciate it.
  4. I hope you're feeling better by now. Great job on the artwork. I'm the least artistic person in the world so I'm always impressed with talent....especially when it comes to Dukes art!
  5. Larry the Cable Guy does a series on the History Channel where he visits spots in America and today Ben Jones was on talking about his days in politics. It was a rerun but still, every time I see a Dukes star on television when I wasn't expecting to, I get a huge smile on my face like I'm seeing a family member.
  6. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  7. Lizzy got it right. It was Wilbur Fudge. B.L., That was a tough one. If I wouldn't have just seen it last week I probably would have guessed Emery Potter too.

  9. It looks like Rosco stole the concept General and drove it under a drain pipie.

  11. In addition to "What This World Needs is a Few More Rednecks" the Charlie Daniels Band also has one called "Simple Man". I cut out a comic that I saw many years ago. It was a man climbing to the top of a mountain where the wise guru lived (or as I like to call him, Uncle Jesse). The guru looked down at the man and said "Seek simplicity in life". The man looked up confused and responded "Come on, there's got to be more to it than that." How sad it is that some people just ruin their life by not seeing simplistic beauty. The more that people realize that, the more they'll see the genius of being a redneck.
  12. Hey Brian, I'll meet you at the Boar's Nest to celebrate! I don't drink so I'll just bring a little food coloring and me and Enos can tip our glasses to some cold, green buttermilk. I wonder if Hoss is celebrating across the green pond?
  13. Yesterday, USA Today did a story about the skyrocketing popularity of reality shows based on rednecks. Some of the shows they mentioned were "Swamp People", "Hillbilly Handfishin'" and "Bayou Billionaires". They mentioned others but you get the idea. I'm thrilled with these new shows. I've seen some of them and I'm excited that they are so popular now. There's always going to be a few people who watch these shows to make fun of the rednecks but I'll agree with the author of the story (Carol Memmott) that the vast majority of viewers like these shows because the people on them are so real, unique and authentic. I'll add that I think these shows are going to be around a long time. The world has gotten complicated and crazy and folks crave the opposite. One of my favorite saying is by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To be simple is to be great". The nuttier the world gets, the more people will look to simplicity to regain their sanity and there's nothing more simple than being a redneck and watching other rednecks be rednecks. My second favorite all-time song is "What This World Needs is a Few More Rednecks" by the Charlie Daniels Band. The lyrics have never been more true than they are today. If you get a chance check it out. I'm excited about this new redneck revival. Maybe it will mean a whole new group of folks will discover (or re-discover) The Dukes of Hazzard.
  14. I clicked on the link and it said that the listing has been removed or is no longer available. Since Brian just posted it today I wonder if it was just removed hours ago. As far as I know the only difference in the 1968 and 1969 is the taillights. Are there any other differences that anyone knows of? The 1969 is unique because in 1970 they changed the front end.
  15. I love this thread....very creative. I wish I had computer skills but I have no idea how to do anything except HazzardNet and fantasy sports. How hard would it be to put a picture of my two heroes together? I would love to see a picture of Charlie Daniels beside Uncle Jesse....maybe a shot of them standing outside together on the Duke farm... Don't worry about it if it would be too much work.
  16. ROFL Now, that's funny!
  17. These cards are sweet. I don't know what happened to the set I collected thirty years ago but after seeing this I'm sure itching to replace them.

  19. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  20. B.L. got it right. On the episode "The Legacy" Rosco and Flash were out of town to obedience school and Cletus took over as acting sheriff. Who was Cletus's deputy? A) Emery Potter Wilbur Fudge C) Hughie Hogg D) Lizzy Jackson-Davenport

  23. Thanks for the update Garrett! Go David Ragen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. So, that's what it's called! I thought I recognized the style. These are very interesting and artistic but if 'ole Enos gets any friskier I might be drawing a japan anime picture of Uncle Jesse interrupting.....LOL
  25. They're awesome! You guys did a great job considering I didn't see Cooter there helping. He must of been fishing or something. I love that last picture. It looks like something out of the episode "The Ghost of the General Lee"
