Friday May 11th is the birthday of my hero Jesse Duke. In honor of him, here's 10 things he's taught me about life. (I have to give my parents a little credit too) 1) Be reverent. Thank Almighty God for all your blessings. 2) After God, put your family next on your priority list. 3) Be patriotic. Be thankful for the country you live in and grateful to those who helped make your country great. 4) Help others in your neighborhood who need it and take pride in your community. 5) Give people respect if they've earned it and don't expect to be respected unless you've earned it. 6) Work hard. You may not be capable of doing the same things others can but always give it 100%. 7) Be patient and take time to listen. Listen with love in your heart. 8) Be loyal in every way. 9) When you get older you'll be the leader of your family. Take time while you're younger to develop the skills you'll need. 10) Have fun. If you ever get so old that you forget how to have fun, just pop in a DVD that shows Miz Emma Tisdale riding a wheelie on her dirt bike.

Okay I'm probably going to get in trouble here for asking but since you know so much about NASCAR Garrett I bet you'll have an opinion. Did NASCAR officials take it easy on her because she's a rookie or because she's a she? I'm assumimg that the NASCAR folks who make these decisions are mostly men. I know favoring Danica because she's a girl wouldn't be right but...let's face it...guys have a soft spot for girls....they don't like being mean to them. I'm not accusing them of favoritism because I don't know enough about it to make that accusation. I'm simply asking Garrett's opinion. Or Hoss's if he's feeling really brave.

Shucks....thanks for the information but.....shucks. Oh well, at least I won't be getting my hopes up about TVLand. Since those hopes were dashed maybe I'll switch gears and hope the series "Enos" makes it to DVD someday. Ya can't blame a feller fer dreamin'

I know this idea has come up before. I sure wish "TVLand" would pick up the Dukes. I assume this means they'd have to buy the rights from CMT. CMT should sell the rights if they're not going to air it. Hmm, maybe CMT is asking too much. I'm sure these things are complicated.

Welcome to Hazzard County. We're sure glad you joined. I wish I could help you but I didn't even know they even existed. Are you talking about Dukes toys that were made in Canada or did you mean something else by "Canadian version"?

You're very talented James. I've seen a lot of your work and it amazes me every time. Hey MM, Venus is going to transit (pass in front of) the Sun on June 5th. It will look a little like that from our perspective but can only be seen with proper eye protection.

Thanks for the update Brian. I wish you had better news. I haven't been watching too much CMT lately but I always tune in when the Dukes are on. I know they have commercials and my DVDs don't but there's just something special about watching an episode at the same time a million other people are. It brings back warm memories of Friday nights when I was watching it at the same time half of America was. Well, to be more precise, half of people living in Eastern Standard Time. Let's go CMT. You're missing a great opportunity. Since Dallas is being remade, you have the chance to run Dukes at 8 and Dallas at 9 on Friday nights. Folks would tune in for that combo.
