  1. I just got a magazine put out by a company called BUDK. They specialize in a lot of knives, swords, other weapons, military stuff and redneck stuff. They are now selling a Dukes of Hazzard knife from a company called Kissing Crane. It is 28 dollars and has two blades. One blade says The General Lee and the other says Just the Good Ole Boys and has an etched GLee. I always used to think it was Justa good old boys when the show came out. Now I think it's Just two good ole boys. This knife says otherwise. I should know this by now but is it two or the?
  2. That's 'cause Hobie's is always sippin' his finest. (he never wastes a sip) and I'm always sharing some of that buttermilk with Enos and everybody else who likes it. Trouble is....me and 'ol Enos ain't found anyone else who likes it.
  3. I'd love to come down sometime but I don't know about the pretty girl part. My wife might let me ride on the back of Miz Tisdale's dirt bike but that might be the best I'll be able to do....that is if Miz Emma will allow it. I suspect it might be against postal regulations. Plus Uncle Jesse might get jealous. He acts like he doesn't like her but I know he does.
  4. We are only expecting a high of 35 Sunday and even have a chance of snow...but nothing that will stick. I actually have a fire going in my wood stove.
  5. We are very happy to have you as a new member of our family. If anybody tells you that the flag is bad just explain to them that when the show was on TV from 1979 to 1985 the flag was viewed differently. It was viewed as something that showed pride for where you live. In fact, if you watch the first episode of the first season you will see a white man and black man with their arms around each other having fun just a few minutes after the opening song. In the 7 years the show was on TV the flag was never a problem and there was not a single scene that was racist....The movie which came out many many years later talked about racism a little bit but the movie was stupid.
  6. Saturday National Dukes Day? Great idea!
  7. I just mowed my grass today for the first time this year. Well, not all of it. This time of year certain parts don't grow as fast. I hope I can get another year out of my mower.
  8. Don't ask me why it's not everybody's favorite show. I guess most people just ain't as smart as us Hazzard folks.

  13. It sounds like the worst of it is over. Thanks for updating us.
  14. Love the cars! Welcome to Hazzard County wotan. Do you have more? Tell us more about your love of Hazzard. Do you have a favorite character, scene or episode? We're happy to have you here and hope you stay a long time.

  17. Easter Weekend is here. I hope everybody has a good one.
  18. Great point. If you want to make a first impression here just show up with a General Lee. It's always a pretty effective dramatic entrance.
  19. If MM can't fix it I'll call Cooter on the CB. I think he's working on that new General Lee that RHoughton just towed into town.
  20. Fantastic work Roth!
  21. That reminds me. I didn't check to see if I'm still in first place in your NASCAR fantasy league. I'm gone.
  22. Happy birthday Wednesday cousin Coy! If you make it back to Hazzard tomorrow stop by the Boar's Nest to celebrate. We'll all be there. Hoss is paying for the celebration.
  23. Welcome to the HazzardNet. We hope you stay around a long time. It would be really exciting If you would update us on what happens to this Lee. Will you restore it? Sell it? Both? I wish I could help but Hoss would likely be your best bet. If you would be willing to give more information that might help. Where did you buy it? Were you able to learn anything about its past? The serial number will probably be your best bet to get information. Thanks for posting that. The chances that it was on the show are pretty slim since there were a lot of them built by private citizens. At Dukes' height of popularity I bet there was a GL in nearly every county in America. Of course, you never know until you research it. I wish TimDuke was still on the HazzardNet. He lives in the Cleveland area and knows a lot about the show cars. You must be a pretty big fan to buy this. Since you're a big fan we want to hear more about your love of the show.
  24. And Arnold was called Dutch in the movie Predator. When I was a kid the bigger boys would grab the smaller ones and put them in a headlock and rub the top of their heads with their fists. It was often playful but it hurt when they pressed hard with their knuckles. They called it a dutch rub. I don't know where the name came from.
