  1. I used to watch the old cartoon Camp Candy with my daughter when she was little. I think I still have an episode or 2 on VHS. If you're a John Candy fan I bet you know it. The best known song from the Charlie Daniels Band (or Banned if he gets kicked out) is The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Although that would barely make my top ten from the CDB. What this World Needs is a Few more Rednecks AND Simple Man are my two favorites. Hoss, I still have that picture that you made for me hanging in my office at work of Charlie and Uncle Jesse together. (thanks to your creative editing)
  2. Okay, who's excited? I start getting excited about the most wonderful time of the year way earlier than most folks. I love Halloween but on November First I start singing Christmas songs in my head.....and I never complain about all those early Christmas commercials.
  3. Thanks Hoss. I always wonder what's up with the surviving cast. That's why I was so excited to see Bo on Dancing with the Stars.
  4. ROFL....that is so funny! Thanks for sharing that story. You nead two get yor spel chek chekked.
  5. Cool stuff Shooter! Thanks for sharing it. It was nice to hear from you again.
  6. Hang in there Spike! My wife hit a deer this morning on the way to work. It is the first deer she's hit in 40 years of driving so that's not too bad considering she lives in the country. Yesterday I saw two fully mature bald eagles circling our house, flying pretty low. They're getting more common but still, that was thrilling. I got my cast off yesterday. It's the third one since my Sept 18 ankle tendon surgery. I'm now back in an air cast and waiting for physical therapy to start next week..
  7. STAR (Elvis and the Sun are both big stars.....by the way, his Sun Sesions are my favorite Elvis songs.....Milkcow Blues Boogie!....Good Rockin' Tonight!....they don't make 'em like that anymore)
  8. I wouldn't trade my wife in a million years for that lady...but I would trade my car in a millisecond for that one.
  9. I'll bet ya a buttermilk at the Boar's Nest that the Dukes would still beat them. I flipped it over a few times today but was too busy watching American style football to pay too much attention. I see the Prince was there. Not the Prince of Abu Dhabi....the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
  10. Those three cars might be a tad bit faster than the General Lee on a big city racetrack but If you put them on a dirt road in Hazzard County our favorite orange clunker car would make all three of them eat General Lee dust.
  11. Mine would be a tie between Lulu Hogg and Miz Emma Tisdale but I couldn't find pictures of either.
  12. You might be right now that I think about it.
  13. I've often wondered that myself. Personally, I wouldn't want to be caught in either. Although I do remember seeing Boss and Rosco in a dress once.
  14. I don't remember ever seeing China Beach. We only got NBC growing up. When I was 19 and Dukes came out I went to my grandparents house to watch it. They only lived several hundred feet away. I used to stick around and watch Dallas after that. The only other TV shows from that era that I liked were Charlie's Angels, Stingray and A-Team. Since that era I never really cared about television too much although Duck Dynasty was good. The Dukes is by far my favorite. None of those others I just mentioned were even close to second. What about you folks What are your all-time favorites?
  15. I wonder if all kinds of racing constantly struggles the way NASCAR does with rules and proposed changes.
  16. As much as I know about the show I am pretty uninformed about the creating of it. Thanks for the information Hoss.
  17. Tell them to move to Hazzard County. There's always happy endings there. It sounds like they could use one.
  18. I'm sure you are right about that. I didn't even know that Daisy wore panty hose until long after the show first came out. Of course there were opportunities to see Daisy's bare legs, like the first episode when she wanted to have a picnic or later when she kicked Boss Hogg out of her bed.
  19. It's always exciting to have somebody new in town. After rereading my funny response I realize 3 of them might have actually worked....Betty White, Danny Divito and James Earl Jones. I'm glad they didn't though. The Dukes of Hazzard is the only television show in history to have ever been perfect in every way.
  20. Now that I think of it....it was TVLand that dumped Dukes to be politically correct, not CMT.
  21. Sorry to hear about the kitten and your neighbor. I hope your wife had a good birthday. We have snow on the ground but it's melting today.
  22. Welcome to Hazzard County ralmcg. We hope you like it and hope you stay a long time. I guess I haven't given a lot of thought to who else could have gotten the role of Daisy, or any other cast member for that matter. It does make for some interesting possibilities. Now you have my brain spinning...Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse? Nope, that was tried and didn't go so well. Betty White as Miz Tisdale?. Danny Divito as Boss Hogg? How about Sylvester Stallone as Luke and Chuck Norris as Bo? Jerry Lewis as Rosco? John Wayne as Uncle Jesse? James Earl Jones as Big Ed Little? Cher as Daisy? Charles Bronson as Enos? Robin Williams as Cletus? Farrah Fawcett as Lulu?
  23. Elvis
  24. I just don't understand CMT. They are now rerunning old episodes of Roseanne. Why would you do that but drop Dukes of Hazzard? Where is the consistency in their policies? I realize that it's their station and they can do whatever they want but geeez! Bring back the Dukes.
  25. Wow, that sounds emotional. Your part of the world has certainly seen it's share of war....on it's home soil. Of course we're not immune here but having two oceans has really protected us. I admire you for your respect of those who sacrificed so much.
