A Hogg in Foggy Bog While the race was going on in the Phillipines, Jesse was back at the farm and found an old treasure map that once belonged to his great Unlcle Cyrus, who was the only outlaw Duke ever mentioned in either series. During the Civil War Cyrus stole 20 million dollars from an army payroll train and traveled to the Phillipines to bury it. Jesse got a ride to the Phillipines from his cousin Billy in an Air Force cargo plane. Billy did it because he appreciated the fact that Jesse was a war hero. Smokey the raccoon stowed away in the plane and joined in on the adventure. The other Dukes were sure surprised when their uncle popped up from nowhere in a remote rain forest village. The mayor helped the Dukes by helping them figure out the map and giving them a boat, but no villagers would go as guides because they were afraid of the bigfoot-like swamp monster. Boss and Rosco heard the conversation and followed them in a boat of their own and were frightened by the monster first. The Dukes then saw the beast but it took it's mask off and the man in the suit introduced himself as Dr. Richards, a biologist studying the rain forest, but he was really looking for the treasure. Boss stole the map but Jesse had it memorized anyways. Rosco and Flash dug up the treasure but Richards stole it. Boss and the Dukes got it back but it was worthless Confederate money. -- What a great plot for the last episode! Plus, I loved that Jesse got in on an adventure. -- In reality, a Confederate dollar is worth way more than a real dollar because of it's collectors value....a fact also missed on The Treasure of Soggy Marsh.

The Dukes in Hollywood A movie is being filmed in the desert of southern California and the Dukes get involved. The producer, Freddy Flenders, offered the Dukes $50,000 to be in the movie but he has conspired with Murray, the director, to steal the entire payroll. Flenders wants to scam Boss too so he offers to make him executive producer if he invests money and Boss falls for it. The star of the movie is a boy named Roddy who is putting the money he makes from acting into his college fund. The General makes a rocket assisted jump over a canyon and the filming was complete. All the actors and crew gathered to get paid but Flenders had left with all the money, even double crossing Murray. Since Boss was executive producer they demanded money from him. The local sheriff went to arrest Boss but the Dukes convinced him they could catch Flenders so they all went after him. After a long search at Mammoth Studies a chase began and they finally caught him at a Handprints of the Stars ceremony. -- The opening scene was much like the real Hollywood episode with the Dukes stopping a runaway vehicle. -- Freddy Flenders? Sounds a big like Freddy Fender who got caught in Rosco's celebrity speed trap -- The canyon jump was very similar to Evel Kneivel's Snake River Canyon jump, complete with rocket. -- A wax museum in this episode featured the King, Clark Gable. That was a thrill to me since I'm related to him and his mother is buried close to me. -- Phil Hartman was the voice of Freddy Flenders. There's no mistaking that distinctive voice.

The Canadien Caper The big race is now near Quebec Canada where it is a winter wonderland. The General Lee went off the road when avoiding hitting a girl named Suzette and her wolf-husky named Nikky (a male). Suzette left before even talking to the Dukes and went into the St. Blanc Wildlife Refuge. Meanwhile, Boss made a deal with Pierre and Louie Bouchard to buy a bunch of furs that they had illegally trapped. Suzette and Nikky were going through the wilderness letting as many wild animals out of the box traps as they could find. Later, back in town, the Dukes meet Suzette, Nikky and Suzette's father, who was the mechanic fixing the General's broken axle. Suzette then left to free more animals and the Dukes left on skis to find her because her father knew she was in danger. She found a barn with furs in it and witnessed Boss negotiating a deal to buy them. Boss went to town to get the money and Suzette and Nikky got caught and locked up. Nikky got out and found the Dukes and led them to Suzette. Boss and Rosco came back and stole the furs and then the Dukes got there and rescued Suzette. Suzette's father showed up with the repaired General Lee. The Bouchards got on snowmobiles and caught Boss and put him, Rosco and Flaah in cages and took the furs and Boss's car and they were later freed by the Dukes. The Dukes and the General Lee caught the poachers and called the Royal Mounties.

A Dickens of a Christmas Boss and Rosco are spending Christmas Eve at the Ye Olde Pigge Inn in some town in England (they never give the town name). Boss was planning on violating race rules and leave on Christmas morning to get an illegal head start on the Dukes. He fell asleep on a chair by the fireplace and was awoken by a visitor. It was Big Jake Marley, the first Boss of Hazzard County, the man who taught Boss everything he knows. Jake was in chains and warned Boss about the evils of greed and told him he would be visited by three ghosts. Boss went into the bedroom and encountered a man dressed like a farmer who was the ghost of Christmas past. He took him to his childhood where Boss saw his mother give him his first piggy bank. He then saw a scene of him losing his fiancee, Elsie McCoy because he loved money more. She ended up marrying Jesse Duke instead. A cowboy then came in. He was the ghost of Christmas present and showed him how poor Rosco and Flash were. He then showed the Dukes preparing a big Christmas basket for Boss despite how mean he was. Rosco and Flash came in and they all had fun together. Boss went back to bed and the ghost of Christmas future came in, a traditional looking white sheeted character who had long boney fingers. He showed Jesse plowing the back 40 with Maudeen but he was working for Boss now because he finally foreclosed on the Dukes. He then took Boss to the Boar's Nest where the other Dukes were working, including Luke who was driving the General Lee that was converted into a vehicle to haul garbage. Then the ghost showed him his gravestone and when he said he was "unloved and unremembered" Boss finally saw the light. On Christmas morning Boss and Rosco came into the Dukes room with gifts and a big meal.

I agree. Uncle Jesse is at the beginning and end of every episode and seeing him and the farm is always my favorite part of the cartoon. I always try to look at the bright side. International fans like Hoss probably like it, especially since Hazzard County in northern Georgia is so far from them. I mean, Hoss lived in England and now Ireland and he has 3 episodes for him 1) The Dukes of London 2) Boss O'Hogg and the Little People (Ireland) 3) A Dickens of a Christmas (I'll check tomorrow but I'm pretty sure that's in England.) It sure would have been nice if they would have done a Dukes in Erie though. They could have made it a Halloween episode and called it Eerie Dukes.

I wonder if they were trying to expand their audience on a global scale since it was already popular in America. It might have been a financial decision, considering the money they made in merchandise......I'm just speculating.

Danger on the Hazzard Express.....season 7 On the way home from a fishing trip, Bo, Luke and Daisy encounter a car rolling down the road without a driver. Three guys, named Burke, Carney and Perry are remotely operating it from atop Eagle Point. The car gets in a battle of chicken against the General Lee and loses. It goes off the road in a rollover crash. The Dukes got shot at trying to get close to it and report the incident to Boss and Rosco. Boss already knew about it though because the trio of bad guys called him. Boss was planning on using the remote controlled car to crash into a moving train and scoop up the two million dollars worth of gold, silver and platinum it would be hauling when it falls out after a derailment but now the car is unusable. When the Dukes went back to inspect the car it was gone. The bad guys took it and stripped the remote control equipment off. Later, they stole the General Lee and rigged it up to operate remotely. Jesse picked up the carless Dukes at Waylon Corners and then they split up to search for the General. Bo and Luke were driving Dixie when they found it and the General ran them off the road. Later, the boys snuck into Boss's office and figured out what was going on after finding a model railroad set up. They went to Eagle Point but got caught and tied up. The bad guys called Boss and told him they were going to kill the boys so Boss, Rosco and Jesse went to save them. The boys got loose and luckily Daisy was driving by in Jesse's truck to pick them up. The bad guys sent the General and it rammed the truck off the road and chased the (running on foot) Dukes. Bo and Luke made it back to Eagle Point and Bo grabbed the General while Luke fought the bad guys. Bo couldn't control it as it raced toward the train but Luke grabbed the controls and made an adjustment just before Bo disabled the controls.

Yes I did, especially since I was a big Dallas fan back then.

Every one of the episodes are in other countries as you can tell by many of the titles. I only have 4 of the 20 left. One of them is in Hollywood so I guess they're not all foreign countries. Next I'll have the Christmas episode.

It will be interesting to see how they give the vaccines and who will get them after health care workers and folks in nursing homes. Already folks in poor neighborhoods are complaining that folks in rich neighborhoods will get them first. I understand why they feel that way but my question would be....Why would it be fair that folks in poor neighborhoods get it first? They are no better than rich people. It should be decided on risk factor, not income. It's spreading like wildfire in the suburbs too.

Erie Pennsylvania didn't get much because they are on the lake and the water is still relatively warm but we got a foot of "lake effect snow" 15 miles away from it. It was super heavy and slippery but a third of it melted today.

Great observation. I agree.

TV shows here that have been live have been pretty strict about masks and distancing. Most shows like that are from Los Angeles or NYC where the rules are more strict. I still suspect that their rules are a little more relaxed than Europes but I'm just guessing.

The Kid from Madrid While driving through Spain the Dukes saw a beautiful white horse and stopped to get a picture. It's name was El Blanco and was being ridden by a boy named Pepino and was owned by Pepino's grandfather, Don Carlos. El Blanco's jockey was named Radalpho and a big race for scheduled the next day. El Blanco had to win to save Don Carlos' farm. Boss made a deal with a guy named Geraldo. Boss would help him win the race and Geraldo would slow down the Dukes. Geraldo moved a bridge and sunk the General Lee and Boss and Rosco stole El Blanco. Don Carlos pulled the General out and the next day the Dukes starting searching for El Blanco after finding Boss's tire tracks at the scene of the crime. Radalpho decided to be the jockey for Geraldo instead, since Don Carlos had no horse. The Dukes and Pepino found El Blanco with 10 minutes until the race. Pepino raced him to the race and then raced him in the race. He won and saved his grandfather's farm.

She is just as honest as Boss is crooked and she's not shy about telling Boss when he's being dishonest. Boss found out that the crown jewels of Austria were stolen and bought them from the thief. The Dukes and Cindy Sue were kidnapped by that same thief and his two thugs. They were put in a blue van and the thugs took the General Lee too. They were demanding one million dollars from Wliinigton for her return. The Dukes and Cindy Sue escaped and got away in the General Lee. The blue van and Boss followed but the police caught all 3 vehicles. When leaving Austria, Boss got caught with the jewels but the officer just laughed because they were fake all this time.

Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard.....season 7 An 11 year old orphan boy named Robby is getting ready for a serious operation at the Tri-County Hospital and according to Doc Appleby needs an emotional boost to help him through it. Bo and Luke went to pick up an autographed picture of Cale Yarborough but Yarborough never sent it because he decided to visit him in person. Meanwhile, Elmo and Eddie had just robbed the Capitol City bank of $100,000 and Boss was charging them $5000 for a place to hide out; the forge/steam plant. Later, Boss found out how much money they had and planned to take it and have them arrested and collect the reward money as well. Eddie and Elmo stole Cale's station wagon but he got the stolen money from them. The Dukes then showed up after the robbers left. Moments later the General wouldn't start so the boys and Cale took the robbers car but Rosco caught them and put all 3 in jail and gave the bags of money to Boss. The 3 broke out and hopped in the General that Cooter just repaired and made it to the hospital just in time for Cale to see Robby before the operation. Cale stayed there and was also with him afterwards. The Dukes did some investigating and found out about the robbery and where the hideout was. The boys were caught at the hideout and so was Cale later. Eddie and Elmo tied them to a boiler and rigged it to blow up but Luke broke loose and rescued the other 2 before the explosion. The robbers went to the courthouse, took the money, put Boss and Rosco in jail and then left with Rosco's car. Bo, Luke and Cale caught them and the reward money went to Robby's future education. Cale won his race in his #28 Hardee's car and dedicated it to Robby in the interview. Robby watched it in the hospital with the 4 Dukes. -- Another episode with Dennis Haskins, Mr Belding from Saved by the Bell. He was in a lot of them, including the first ever episode. -- When things were getting confusing Jesse said "Whatever happened to the old days when all we had to worry about was running shine?!"

There's not a whole lot of things you can depend on now in this crazy world but here on the HazzardNet we have someone who is as dependable as a Duke boy and that's our friend Spike. So, we end crazy undependable 2020 with a celebration of a member who is a solid cornerstone rock around here. Thanks for all you do Spike. We're very lucky to have you here on the best website on the internet. Congratulations on being fan of the month for December 2020.

It's definitely a winter wonderland here. So far about 6 inches of the really wet and heavy variety. We lost electric for 5 hours but it's good now. Thankfully my wife doesn't work today. There was a fatal accident on a road this morning that she would have taken if she didn't have the day off....scarey thought that it could have been her. Cars were off the road all over the place this morning.
