I've been known to listen to Christmas music as late as the third week of January. I truly am a rebellious outlaw, not worthy of being a member of civilized society. In 1987, I even drank egg nog 2 days past the expiration date.

Thankfully my wife isn't going to be in a covid unit. The area she is in will turn into a covid unit but her intensive care unit is moving to a different area....false alarm.

My wife put all the Christmas decorations away today. I'd leave them out all January but marriage is give and take and I put up with her putting everything away. She can't stop me from listening to Christmas music when she's not home though. LOL

LOL. I think that means I'm not funny!?!? ROFL

We should give him a nickname fitting of his culture. The Earl of Helpfullness.....The Baron of Knowledge....The Duke of Information......The King of Hossome. Um, is Baron even British? I guess I'm the Jester of Ignorance.

To make up for all those missing "i" s in aluminum I'm going to spend all of 2021 spelling it ailiiumiiniim. To be honest Hoss, when I said they didn't make any sense I wasn't even thinking about the issues with different spelling. I was using opposition humor because you are so smart and make so much sense....(I'm not even sure if "opposition humor" is even a real term.....I just mean the style of humor where you call a tall person "shorty") Does that explanation make any sense? LOL

if I told my wife that older cars had carburetors and newer cars have fuel injection she'd look at me like I was speaking a foreign language. She's not exactly the mechanical type.

Happy birthday Monday Boss. And happy birthday to HazzardNet's "Boss JD Hogg"

Last I knew I was still in charge of this section so until MM fires me or throws me in the HazzardNet jail I'm going to violate the rules and give credit to a moderator, even though moderators aren't eligible. Hoss has been around this place for well over a decade and has logged in over 5,500 posts. It doesn't matter that none of them made any sense, that's a lot of posts. But it's not the time or posts that make Hoss special. It's the fact that he has the heart of a Duke. The majority of Hoss's posts show you the kind of person he is. Not only does he help people, he goes out of his way to help people. Not only does he go out of his way helping people, he goes out of his way looking for people who he can go out of his way to help. He may not be from the South but he is truly a Sonny Shroyer kind of person who treats everybody with love, respect and dignity and for that we give him our love and respect. We appreciate all you do Hoss. You are truly a cornerstone of the foundation of the greatest website on the internet.....and I'm just kidding about none of your posts making sense. I think I saw one in 2011 and another one in 2015. Oh yea, another thing about Hoss. He has a great sense of humor....um, I mean, humour. CONGRATULATIONS HOSS on being selected the 2020 Fan of the Year!

They'd have my vote for the top spot but then again, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a big fan of the show. I live less than an hour from the National Comedy Museum. It is based in Jamestown NY, home of Lucy from I Love Lucy. I'm going to go there someday and if Boss and Rosco aren't in it I'm going to make a polite suggestion.

I've always wondered that myself Hobie....although I was never clever enough to think of using the high school to figure it out. I'm certain the show never said how many residents Hazzard had. I definitely wouldn't have missed that. My guess would be that the town had a thousand and rural areas had another thousand. Whenever big events happened only a few dozen people showed up but that's simply because it would have been tough and expensive to get that many actors together.

No connection at all. Just about everything in this movie has a connection to the original series but only in names. John's character is named Uncle Denver. He owns a General Lee and an old white F-150. John's wife died and he visits her grave daily. (I think this was filmed on John's Louisiana ranch) His wife's name was Maudine....which seemed disrespectful since that was a mule. The number of original series connections was mind boggling. That is why I was glued to the television screen and the biggest reason I loved it. John plays himself in this movie. He is not playing Bo Duke in the future....although a kid who could be a 10 year old Bo is in it....he even dresses exactly like Bo at the end.

That is awesome!

I wonder if the same person who said it was bad is one of the critics who said in 1979 that the Dukes of Hazzard would never be popular. The Byron part was hilarious. He even mentioned Uncle Elbert and Aunt Bessie.....they're dead. Byron told John that he was driving a cop car because he stole it after the cops impounded his. I'm pretty sure his words were exactly the same as Cooter's in 1979.

But can she put together a carburetor in the dark like Daisy?

The warning posts are one of the stupidest things imaginable. It should be obvious. I mean, do people really have to be told that things were different 40 years ago? The shows that really need warning labels are the modern ones that promote every immorality known to Sodom and Ghomorrah. I do agree with you Hoss. I would rather see Dukes aired with a warning label than not see it aired at all. This way, if someone has never seen Dukes before they can judge for themselves after the show how stupid the warning label was. The politically correct people who post those have no idea how much they are embarrassing themselves.

I'm a bit busy tonight but I'll try to figure that out tomorrow Skipper. You know how bad I am with techno stuff so I might need your help. Does losing your account mean that you have lost control of all the groups that you started? That would be devastating.

I just watched "Christmas Cars". Wow! I had no idea what it was about. It isn't very Christmasy but it is definitely a movie that keeps you guessing from scene to scene....and then it took a major turn half way through that really surprised me. I don't want to give too much away. Has anybody here seen it? It sure is a movie with a lot of energy......and there is a guy named Spike in it. I think my favorite scene was the one with Byron Cherry.

Congratulations to Hobie for earning Fan of the Month honors for January 2021. While most of us live a Dukes of Hazzard fantasy, the Hazzard County lifestyle is reality to Hobie and we're lucky to have a genuine Southern boy here on the HN. We appreciate all of your posts Hobie. We appreciate the Southern flair you add to this place, and most of all, we appreciate your friendship. Thanks for everything you do here on the best website on the internet....I'll tip a glass on egg nog to you on this New Year's Day and I won't waste a sip.

I got my second late Christmas present. It is a John Schneider autograph written on the outside of the case that contains his movie "Christmas Cars". This is my first Bo autograph. He wrote. "Merry Christmas Cars Roger, John Schneider". Pretty cool. I'll probably watch the movie tonight and post here what it was like.

You might want to flip through my episode reviews and learn a little more about each episode and maybe find one that you might like....if you are struggling to enjoy them that is. I liked them but they are not for everybody. The song at the beginning sure sticks with you though. Check the ep reviews to see when Bo and Luke start up. They are in less than half of them so you won't find them in the first 10.

Pretty interesting Hoss!......ya learn something every day!
