DukesFest & Other Events

Does anyone know if there will be a 2011 DukesFest? I fully intend to go if it is close enough. Has anybody heard anything? Thanks

hazzard run 2016 by mommydawn2000, on Flickr I'll be bringing my Hazzard Garage model as well as my new Boar's Nest model to this year's Hazzard Run. I'll be set up at Cooter's Place in Gatlinburg (the destination for the 'run' of Dukes cars coming from Nashville). Here is the description of the full event: DESCRIPTION OCTOBER 2016 LAST CHANCE to Bring your "General Lee," "Hazzard County Police Car," or other "Hazzard Vehicle" to participate in our ANNUAL Hazzard Run from Nashville to Gatlinburg. After 7 years of the Run we are going to create an Exciting New Fall Event for Hazzard County Car Owners and lovers in 2017 !!! Det…

I am planning on going to it and would like to know the date and location it will be next year.

Hey all, I just got back and wrote a long entry complete with photos in my livejournal if anyone is interested I'll just give the link rather than pasting it here. http://www.livejournal.com/users/sway4829/90949.html Fair warning... it's kinda John Schneider centered.

Biggest state out of 50. You know there are plenty of Dukes fans. I wish somebody would organize, or the official Dukesfest People would bring that thing to Texas at some point in the future. Or has it already been and I just missed it?

Just to let you guys know I entered the dukes trivia sponsored by dodge at dukesfest 08 and I won beat out 3 other people I won a t-shirt with a new charger on it, just thought that i would share the news

He has a contract obligation to Chicago musical. Cooter's Place website has posted about this.

This is not official DukesFest information - but since it's being held at this venue, I took it upon myself to snoop for some info. Looks like the Motorplex is smack-dab in town. Gonna be a fun drive there.... here's a Yahoo map: http://www.musiccitymotorplex.com/directions.html And on the Motorplex website, I found two nearby hotels they recommend. I wouldn't book a room yet, though - DukesFest will probably carve out some good deals, and I know Cootersplace.com will list official lodging in the near future. But if you want a starting point: http://www.musiccitymotorplex.com/2005/hotels.htm We'll share the official information as it becomes available. Brian

is the same as mentioned in this news article... http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/news/state/16349716.htm?source=rss&channel=sunherald_state =) Thank you to everyone who helped Josh's wish come true! (P.S. to Admin: If this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move it elsewhere)

I have a favor to ask anyone who is going to Dukesfest. If possible can someone find out and post what is Dever Pyles correct birthday. Is it May 11th or is it Dec 25. This question is really bugging me, and I figured that maybe the answer can be gotten at Dukefest if anyone is able to talk with Ben, Cathy, James, John, Sonny, Tom or anyone else who is there and worked on the show. Thanks. Unfortunatly I am unable to make it.

Hey y'all FYI: The Dukesfest DVD may be a bit behind schedule for release due to some rights issues with WB. I'm not sure how far behind...I do know that it is in the final editing stage.... If I hear more, I'll let ya know.

I think it would be a cool idea since the show is back and so many more people are getting in to it to have like a small tour or something so that people from other states who cannott go or cannott afford the trip can still get a chance. Might be a cool idea?

Yes or No.

Does anyone know what the General Lee that made the jump at Dukesfest 08 brought at auction? What about the 2 police cars? Someone had to hang around long enough to know.

The 1st Dukesfest presented by Cooter's Place in Sperryville Virginia was late August 2001. http://www.cootersplace.com/ 10th anniversary/reunion is in mid August 2011.

HEY its me again----I was an extra in teh DOH movie-and i kept all of yall updated well here s an update for ya! ! ! ! Hadnt had a chance to post -been very busy. Got a call last week from someone thats involved in the filming of the movie. She told me they need me to go back to Clinton, LA tomorrow (6/2/05) because something about they forgot the openin scene that tells about the town of Hazzard or some sort. So she had gotten a call from LA last week tellin her to round some of the extras up for shooting-ALL of the main actors got called in also--she said it s really crazy, bein that the movie will be out AUGUST 5th! ! ! !.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Jon, Tom, and Cathy at a local convention featuring various movie and TV celebrities. The con folks let me set up my Hazzard Garage model near the 'Dukes' tables. Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr More photos to follow.

I am a subscriber to Country Weekly (A Country music magazine - this one has Kenny Chesney on the cover) and had gotten my latest magazine in the mail yesterday afternoon. I was surprised while looking through it to find an article in it about Dukefest. It was a small article mainly stating the event, when, where, and how to get tickets. What had gotten my attention was the small picture of Ben in The General. As I said, it was small and had probably had only taken an inch or so of the page, but was excited to see the announcement in the magazine. It was good to see a picture of Ben in it as well.

Khee!

does anyone know anything about the show car entry to dukefest 2006? we're from massachusetts, it took us 24 hours to get down there pulling our black general last year, and once there it took us forever to figure out how to get it into the show...we even missed most of the first day. this year i hope to figure that all out before we leave... if we aren't sure about getting the car in the show, we might not pull it down with us again plus, we heard that there was a breakfast for general lee owners, but we didn't learn about it soon enough, does anybody know of anything that is happening around dukefest that car owners ar invited to? we spent alot of time getting ready fo…

http://www.collierandcomovie.com/ Scroll down to 2-13-07 note for more info. Think it's a good idea, perhaps Mr. Schneider will offer more detail in regards to: A receipt provided for packages? Or people allowed to take a picture of their item going into the trailer? Part of the $10 fee used for postal insurance? It's only $1.20 per $50. Cash, check or money order?

Hey ya'll Coy Duke(Byron Cherry) is going to be at dukesfest this year.

There is a section at dukesfest 06 where you can enter a model from a movie or another tv show and I was wondering if I could enter my rusty General Lee model in that section from the beginning of the movie? The reason I ask this to you all is because Ben Jones was completely against the movie and im not sure he would let me enter it. I would like your opinions because I am currently adding details and fixing mistakes to make it better for the contest. Thanks.
