are there any Dukes of Hazzard box-set collecters out there the reason i ask is because i have collected all the box-sets and so i thought this thread would be cool

Ok, I seen that there are horse people on here but has anyone ever gotten into showing club calves or feeder calves, or show steers. Anyone who is into this will know what I'm talking about. The reason I call it a hobby and not a business venture is because anyone who's in it knows you don't make a dime off of doing it but it's fun. What breed of cattle do you show if you're a purebred breeder, or do you like crossbreds? What kind of trips have you been on? Did you get to go to the National Angus or Shorthorn conventions? Did you win any state fairs or jackpot shows? And for anyone who's wondering, yes I am still alive.

What do I do? I paint. I paint pictures of photos I"ve taken or whatever comes to mind. And, just to keep things intersting, I teach drawing and painting at a local high school. I've got more, I'll post 'em later.

Finally finished this one. Started with kitbashing the MPC Dodge Monaco Police Car with the AMT 1971 Dodge Charger since the MPC chassis, suspension and engine are almost worthless, my opinion. Added to that: -rebuild grille with fine mesh -resin cast headlights and bumpers, the latter heavily improved/modified -resin cast wheel hubs and caps -scratchbuilt CB antenna and side marker lights -completely rebuilt/redesigned lightbar. Hey y'all, I've decided to take my first few steps into modeling and what better way to do it than with a General Lee kit! Here's some pics I've made and taken. All but one were done last year. This is my buddy, Kiwi. He's a 2 year old Nanday Conure. I swear this little guy can hold a conversation lol. His favorite things to say are "Hello", "Yo", "Yeah", "Okay", "Why?" and "Lexas" (that's one of our dogs). Now I've always been partail to this one branch of the services for awhile now. I've done my research and Im thinking about joining the marines after I get out of highschool. Now I was wondering if we got any vets on here from the marines or any branch of the service really. Id like to get some info on the marines in particular though!

I've loved astronomy my whole life. If anybody here as ever been under a truly dark sky and witnessed the Milky Way Galaxy in all its glory, you might have an idea why somebody can get hooked on the hobby. When I was 19 years old (the year Dukes came out) I bought property that I eventually built a house on. I still live there. The skies are very dark....an astronomers paradise. Well was on Youtube.com for one of my favorite authors and his main character and came up with the idea of a favorite books or author thread here for anyone else who likes to read. My favorite authors are: Lee Child Michael Connelly John Lescroart Steve Martini I am hooked on these four author's books...once a new book comes out, I have to get it in my collection and to read it. Each book hard to put down and once it is over, leaves me looking forward to the next book of that author to come out. Who's your favorite author? Or what book is your favorite book?

Hey I really enjoyed the art work the other person here posted. Infact I enjoyed it so much I thought I'd share some of my own. Hope you all enjoy mine as much as I enjoyed the other. Here's some pics of 3 little ducklings I hatched in September. The little duck with the funky hairdo is Sgt Quackers, the other little black one is Beatle, and the little silver one is Lucky. My babies are getting bigger everyday and now, almost 4 months later, they're almost the same size as their parents. Lucky is a girl, Sgt. and Beatle are boys. All three have the same daddy, but Lucky has a different mom than the boys. Sgt Quackers was born 9-9-12. Beatle and Lucky were born 9-10-12.

Hi guys, I've been a long time fan of the Dukes and back in the day I remember doing a few of the old MPC General Lee kits that turned out to be disasters. I just received a new MPC "Country Charger" kit as a gift and it appears to be just a "PC" version of the old General Lee kit. I know the kit isn't very good and it's full of inaccuracies but it's what I've got to work with and I would like to try and build a half way decent General with it. My question is: Where is the best place to order 1/24 scale General Lee decals from? I remember back in the day there were a few vendors who made more accurate versions than the kit provided but I cannot seem to find anything…

This is another one of my models completed the year before. Tough to find Ford pickups of the proper timeframe, and I found an old one on Ebay. In fact, it still had it's original purchase receipt in the box, dated 18 January 1975, almost four years to the day before the series started! It aint a typo... I bull ride... and I love it. Yeah, I know Im crazy, but face it were all alil insane. After all ya could get hit by a car crossing the road to get ya mail or slip and fall in the shower and hit ya head. Im gonna be 23 in August and I been riding since 2005, yeah I been hurt, but not enough to un-addict myself from that rush. Its like gettin a high with out drugs or anything else, its unexplainable what that feeling really is. All I can say is its awesome.
