A radio show I listen to has a weekly feature where they put up two versions of a song, the original and a good cover, and debate which is better; sometimes with surprising results. For example, this week's comparison was 'Tracks of my Tears' with versions by Smokey Robinson and Linda Ronstadt. It's the one from a couple of weeks ago that still has me undecided. The Dukes of Hazzerd Movie Soundtrack is the one good thing that came from the movie. Every so often I play and I was listening to the cd when i was washing clothes last night and a five song version of the soundtrack to "Walk The Line" they come pretty close there not Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash but not too bad.

Listening to each track, I could tell this record was a challenge and fun for the band. =) They did covers of Beatles, The Who, Blind Faith, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles/Humble Pie, Allman Brothers, Procal Harum, Lovin’ Spoons, Jimmie Hendrix, Pretty Things, Jethro Tull, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Free and the last tune- a bluesy remake of a Styx’s classic. Some of the royalties will be donated to Willie Dixon Blues Heaven Foundation. And very reasonably priced at $11.99. Daney

I bought Waylon Jennings Honky Tonk Heroes CD for song #11 Slow Rollin' Low just so I could own Moonrunners(1975) movie theme. But I came to really love the other tracks of the CD. Has anyone else done this? Bought a CD for a specific track?

I got this Tanya Tucker tape from 1975,1976 and reissued in 1984 and it has this song called "Pride Of Franklin County" it's a very good song and I really the entire album as well.
