Since this seems to be the most frequently visited fourm i feel that its only logical to post a link of this little 4.7MB file where it'll will get the most attention aside from elsewhere. Ok guys, I have been reading a lot of posts about the new movie. People are upset about the cast and compare them to the TV show actors. First things first, I love the show as much as anyone but lets be truthful. Some of the actors were bad...very bad. John Scheinder and Catherine Bach are probably two of the worst actors ever. Bach looked good but, not that great. Even if Jessica Simpson can't act she can't be as bad as Bach. Lets face it, she looks way better than Bach did in the show. Heard a tidbit on the radio while the local DJ was going over the celebrity gossip. I apologize for not having the name of this singer accurate, I think it was....Jennifer somebody or another, who's got a current hit on the charts. (I confess I've got no earthly idea about who this chic is, this broadcast was halfway through by the time I got the radio volume up.) Every movie gets edited, eventually. but in the trailer i began to notice tons of scenes from the dukes movie that never appeared in the actual film, that shouldve! i nabbed some screen shots here. let me know what you guys think. this one looks like the jump scene during the rally nearing the end of the flick: a great shot from the first jump in the film, not shown in theaters. When CMT starts airing original episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" next month, I feel that the same exact thing is going to happen again just like it did when the old TNN aired the Dukes back in 1996. Dukes-mania!!! An entirely new generation was introduced to the Dukes in 1996 and I'm sure that we'll all see the same thing happen once again. Just think of all of the new Dukes-related merchandise that hit in late '90s because of the show's rebirth in popularity. Having the Dukes on the air again prior to the release of the new movie will definately help the new movie when it is released. What do you think? GADuke01

I know we all had this discussion 1,000 times before. Now I liked the new Dukes movie honestly, and I still do. Here out my story. I was looking for an avatar on msn search. I typed in the Dukes of Hazzard. What comes up? Mostly all new Dukes pictures! I AM SO SICK OF THIS! It is almost all the new dukes! The original is always better. Ill give the ways that is different in the movie compared to the old Dukes a little later. It will be a LONG list.

This probably has been talked about a lot on other threads, but the following I believe should be on a Duke's Movie or even a new Duke's series: Uncle Jesse: Charlie Daniels instead of Willie Nelson Boss Hogg: Danny Devito Daisy Duke: Still looking but the young lady on the Beginning Movie has promise. The Balladeer: Shooter Jennings Not sure on the others as of yet, but Charlie Daniels would be great. He could even do a reunion movie with the original cast as one of Jesse's brothers. Say what you will. The movie wouldn't be any big deal if it were something I wasn't raised on. My family was never together. When Dukes came on, be it cookin' dinner or fixin' the house, my parents and sister would drop everything to watch. When TNN dropped it years ago, we stopped that hour of family time. Now that it's back on CMT, things have fallen back into their old groove pretty quick. They're taking a major part of what shaped my childhood and screwing it up. It's like taking someone's favorite candy and changing the recipe. It could be sweeter, it could be more sour or it could just be nasty, but it isn't what they love.
