When CMT starts airing the Dukes. During the Marathon will they have a possible sneak preview trailer for the upcoming movie.

After a call to Cooter's Place, and some research, I will go ahead and confirm to all of you that the Confederate Flag will not, I repeat WILL NOT be on the 68/69 Dodge Charger. It will have the 01, and the General Lee name, but NO flag. How yall like them apples? Kinda tart ain't they? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be quite honest. Political Correctness can kiss my Rebel Arse. I will be avidly PROTESTING this movie in my area.

Lots of people on this site seem to think that they could do a better job at making the Dukes of Hzzard tv show into a film. The film is not yet out and only a few people have seen a ruf-cut of the film. How can you moan about a film that is not out for a few months yet and you have not seen it. How would you guys have made this film what would you have done. Who would you guys get to star in this film. Who would write this film. Who would direct it where would youy film it? It would be fun to find out.

8) After months of waiting for the big screen release of the remake Dukes of Hazzard I went in with mixed feelings of both excitment and trepidation. To everyone here at H-Net...... I want to take the time to apologize for my recent sort of argumentative style. As most know that is not what I like to do. Since we don't have a listing of the tracks yet for the Dukes movie soundtrack, does anyone think we'll get to hear both Willie Nelson AND Cage9's renditions of "Good Ol' Boys"? I hope so, personally. It would be nice to have a couple different versions, though none will measure up to Waylon Jennings' of course. Some of us have heard Willie's take on it either on Nick and Jessica's Tour of Duty TV special or a snippet of it on the exclusive Wal-Mart Dukes DVD. I know there have been soundtracks for other movies on which there are more than one version of the movie's theme, which makes me think they'll do the same thing here. But who knows? -Keith

Hi just found out about the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Was a big fan when I was a kid. Have enjoyed some of the tv shows they have made into films. Not sure when they finish filming but I have been living for the last few months in Sydney Australia enjying the Australian summer and getting away from the Uk winter and I found out That Willie Nellson will be on tour in Australia in Feb. Maybe he has finish his bit in the film. Anyone know anything about his part as Uncle Jessie.

I just have to say I thought the movie was great! I saw the first showing in my town on Friday, and I really had a blast. The theater was half full, which I thought was awesome for being so early in the afternoon. I separated the movie from the series going into it, which is probably one of the reasons I was able to enjoy it. I accepted it on its own merits, because you can't really compare it to the show, although there are certainly elements throughout the film that capture the spirit of the show. I just thought I would put in my two cents about the new movie. I have to say I have read all the comments for and agianst. I know that I am not gonna see it because I just can't stand the whole reason behind it. All they did for a cast is pick whoever is popular right now. They are aiming it at Teens and Adults. I know the Dukes was only shot for 5 episodes in Georgia and the rest of the time in California, but the first 5 episodes were the best to me. I like the rural Georgia country roads. They were asphalt roads leading into the town of Hazzard but when they changed locations to California, the roads became dirt for some reason. It just seemed more real to me when they were filming in Georgia. I also hate the special effects of the last couple of years of the show. Some of the jumps were just to fake and you could tell it. Being new to this board, I'm not sure how much of my opinion I should put forth, but . . . it seems to me like this movie is just another attempt to cash in on 80's nostalgia. I'm a bit of a purist though, and it seems to me like the producers and creators of The Dukes would endear themselves to us more if they made another original tv movie. It would probably go over better than a big screen version with actors we've never heard of or heard of in passing.
