  1. Scott, Dude!! Thanks for the news!!! DOH insider? THAT ROCKS!! ALL Hazardnet members! Raise a beer (or box o wine) to Scott for the info he has given and the inof he will be (as he hints) 8)
  2. Bo and Luke were shirtless in "most" ?!?! That is a bit of an exageration...in the same way that an ostrich is a T-Rex. (Simmilar DNA, but that is it!) The Dukes were shirtless a few times n a few episodes. My main gripe is not the language (it's up there, but not it) My WORRY is that the heart of the show will not be taken into consideration. Being from a small sothern town does not make you an idiot, or unkept. You need to go back and watch some more DOH causwe how can you NOT see the wholesome lessons taught in each show. Uncle JEssie was the rock of Christian values. In the frist episode, when dasy gets arrested Uncle JEssie tells Bo and Luke to get her out. She is family and thats that. DOH taught people (and reminded others) to do what was right at all costs. Will I go see the movie? Yeah, I am not saying thta it WILL suck, I am hoping that it will not. But I am seeing a lot that does worry me.
  3. So, Willie IS doing the song?! That is messed up. They need Toby Keith. That is my vote. But, I heard that Toby will not agree to it with out seeing the film first. Guess he wants to make sure it doen't suck too.
  4. This is really getting to worry me. The same stuff started happening with both the last Crow movie and Marvel's Man-Thing movie. And the are both now coming out straight to video. Not trying to jinx anything (maily because I think this movie has enough without one), but it does not bode well for the movie.
  5. We ar talking about the foul language, the bum actors, and the heart of the show seem to be missing, bub. The heart was that it is family entertainment. I watch that show without worry of my children seeing anything they should not. (Just as my folks did durrin the first run) The fact that the show was about being from the south, being proud of that, and showing good wholesome family enviroment was something mentioned by most of the cast and producers during many a reunion. And... DOH might have been inspired by the success of Smokey and the Bandit, but a "complete ripoff"?! Son, you need your memory checked. This movie may endeed "rock" for you, but I guess that is just the generation gap showing there. I still believe something can be funny without the language going to heck. But as the man says...Foul language is the crutch of a weak mind.
  6. It is getting to really grate on my nerves that we have not even seen so much as a teaser trailer for the new movie. I have seen teasers for two movies coming out in early fall!! Come on!
  7. And it is a no winner for the true DOH. IF the movie (somehow magically) doesn't suck, all credit will go to the movie cast and crew. When it does suck...the major populance will blaime it on the original DOH.
  8. I have said this before and I will keep up till I am dead or banned....DOH was not just about a car. IT was family entertainment! On a whole, we DOH fans are mostly worried about the heart of the show being torn out. I mean, come on Johnny Knxville is not exactly family friendly. He became famous not because of talent, but from being a moron!!! DOH is NOT Smokey and the Bandit. THat is the big worry here, bub.
  9. It is not that we doubt the power of seeing the General Lee on the big screen. We are all more than a bit upset over what seems to be the loss of the rest of it. This was not a show about a car. (even though it is the best of all time!) This was a show about a family from, in , and proud of the south. And that was at the core of it all. From all account it is this core that is getting ripped out of it. That is what we are upset about.
  10. My Great-Great Grandfather was a Corpral in the Confederate Army. I am soo proud of him that I was planning on naming my second child after him. (Turned out that John Beau. was not a good name for a girl) I can't stand how people are turning this into an apology for being Southern! If I may add, I had a student recently ask if they were doing this movie because she was a big fan. I told her yes, but they may not have the flag on the General. She was agast! And she is black!!
  11. Just wish we could get a trailer. Even a teaser would be nice. I mean War of the Worlds doesn't open until July and they got a Superbowl spot!!!
  12. If sarcasim was the desired result, then MaryAnne, I am not above apologizing. I am sorry. I just can't stand it when folks trash talk DOH. Kinda gets my blood a pumpin.
  13. Mine would have to be season 1. I agree that the landscape and the freashness of the characters are why. Stange Visitor one of the best?!!?? I hope that is sarcasim across the board.
  14. As far as the movie, yeah I think all we can do is wait and hope. As for a new T.V. show... I don't wish for that. You just can NOT capture lightning in a bottle. The Dukes was perfect. Do do another show would be like trying to bring back MASH with an all new cast. It would not work. As for the last post ... tahanks for the opinion, but they are like >>>holes, and yours needs cleaned!
  15. To tell the truth, I think we all are pretty pessimistic towards the movie. Honestly I am going to see it. I am going because I am a DOH fan. I may think it sucks, but I will go ... for no other reson then these four. To see Hazzard again. To see the General on the big screen To hear the Dixie horn in THX Jessica Simpson in that outfit!!! She may stink as the character, but she DOES look GOOD in them shorts!!! And Fan... don't sweat it none, we all hear ya! 8)
