Dukes of Hazzard Movies

Let me stir things up a little bit. Please feel free to disagree. The first reunion movie had a great plot but I refuse to buy the DVD. Here's why.. Daisy, Bo and Luke would have never left Uncle Jesse at the farm alone like they did. I could have probably handled it a little better if all 3 of them would have announced at the end of the movie that they were back in Hazzard to stay but they didn't (correct me if I'm wrong with that statement, I've only seen it once). What makes this especially troubling is how frail Jesse looked when he was left to the farm alone. I'm sure he gave them his blessing to go but that's not the point. The point is that they wouldn't have left…

What are some of the ideas that you have for a Third Dukes of Hazzard Movie would you cast and who would keep and replace as well. I think they should keep Harland Williams as Rosco he was funny in the role but they need somebody older for Enos he was too young.

Wanted to let you guys know that I found a new Collier & Co. - Hot Pursuit 2 Disc DVD at our local Rite Aid Pharmacy for $4.99! Yes $4.99! I couldn't believe it. I almost feel like I should mail John some money. Watched the special features disc last night and going to watch the movie tonight. Don't know if Mr. Schneider realizes it is being so so cheap, but I didn't think twice about grabbing it.

I'm not sure (without reading everything) if anyone's posting about this DVD from England, but I managed to find a copy on sale last week in HMV (a British music chain-store) It's quite amusing in places; Luke crying as Daisy tells him about the virginity pledges Loulou stuffing the Turkey with Luke Not sure about a seemingly gay Cooter though???? Finding the General in a pool???, at odds with the boys getting it off a used-car lot in the TV series April Scott as Daisy??? Hot!!!!!!!!! As Mike Myers used to say in 'Waynes World'.... I am the new owner of the #1RDV General Lee from the movie starring Jessica Simpson. What I am looking for are photos of this car being used during the production. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. It is currently painted in the pre-Cooter paint scheme with the RDV (remote drive vehicle) equipment on the roof, but was originally standard General Lee #13 Post-Cooter. Does anyone know who the band and or singer is, that plays with Uncle Jesse(Willie Nelson) at the "Shine Mart"? I really like the song they sing and can't find out what it is or who sings it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Let's say one day a movie came along for the Dukes, let's say 100x better than the two we already got. Now, let's say the only really major change they make is they decide to reduce the number of cousins by making someone siblings, like the Duke boys or one of the boys and Daisy. How would you react to a move like that?

"Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning" hit the top 20 in DVD sales during it's first week of release, scoring 16th. Other first-week releases include "Casino Royale" which rolled in to #1. Before anybody gets too excited about how well "The Beginning" is doing, consider this: It's also the first week of release for "Barbie: Fairytopia - The Magic of the Rainbow." It's at #6. Are standing at over 5 million copies sold, per VideoBusiness.com. Five freakin' million copies. This, on top of global box office revenues of over 80 million bucks when the movie was in theatres. That's not counting the sales of the original series on DVD, nor the current sales of "The Beginning" straight-to-DVD movie. "Dukes of Hazzard" is an ATM machine for Warner Bros. I expect we'll see more Dukes incarnations beyond "The Beginning." Still no official news on the odds of a new series, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least another DVD project in the wings. Brian

Since some of us can't be "True" DOH fans (unless we are fanatics ) if we want to see the movie and judge for ourselves. This isn't asking if you are going to buy it, just see it. You don't have to like what they are doing and the movie will probably be not on par as the 2005 movie because of the budget. But maybe you want to see it just out of curiousity or to see the General Lee in a movie again. Whatever reason is yours. After all this is HazzardNet - the best Damn Dukes site out there.
