*sigh* It's been a rough year. First, we had my cancer to deal with. I'm back at work and stress at work is not helping with my recovery. Now, our dog's liver isn't working right and we have to schedule a liver biopsy and possibly an ultrasound. He's anywhere from 9 to 12 years old, our vet guesses closer to 12. We can't have kids, so our dog is our baby. I'm super stressed out. I would like a long stretch of good news for a change.

How long do you think it was take for someone to paint the new 2005/2006 Charger like the General Lee? I'd give it a max 2 years before we see one.

Hello, I'm new here, so sorry if a similar thread has already been posted. I've seen most or all of the Dukes episodes and I own all seven seasons but there's one episode I'm loooking for in particular. I don't remember the plot but I remember a few details and scenes. I think they're all from the same episode, but sorry if they're a bit scattered and a little off. 1. Boss is always eating something and in this episode he had a big bowl of marshmallows that he was snacking on. 2. He was (as almost always) behind the bad guys' plot in that episode and it was something about digging a tunnel under one of the Hazzard streets. Dynamite was a big factor. 3. There was a shed, …

Anyone know where one could acquire a reasonable copy of Rosco's hat? Ain't as simple as just getting a cowboy hat....got one of those already, and as I live in the Southwest in the middle of cowboy country, there are a plethora of styles to choose from. I just have no idea what to ask for or where to look....

I've had a few years of experience with cameras, editing, sound work, and very very light acting. To sum it up it was the best experience of my life, and if I could find the right outlet to be able to achieve this again, I wouldn't blink twice.

Hey all, Sorry I been missing in action lately. Between just getting married, work, problems with the computer, and my truck I've been a little busy. There was a post in the movie section, calling the show campy. I agree the show was campy. At first all it was to be was a mid season filler, which means it was doomed from the start, the fact it lasted 7 years is a miracle. To make the movie accurate, they had to use younger actors, Johnny knoxville as Luke, wasnt really a good idea, he has more of Bo's personality, just give him a blond wig. But quit damning the movie, we are beginning to sound like star wars fans here, (remember them, we used to beat them up, and call them geeks). The only thing we can do is wait, and see how the movie comes out. The only info we have, is he said, she said, and backstage rumors.…

At the very beginning of each episode, this awesome theme plays during the 20-30 sec string of preview scenes (before and leading up to the Just the Good Ol Boys song). It varies over the years, and I think the later seasons (namely s7) is the best. I've been searching for years and no CD or pay mp3 site has this track. Does anyone have any leads as to where I could get this? Thanks! John

I don't think it was ever mentioned but I imagine we could take a decent guess. It's probably in a range of 300- 3,000. The reason I gave such a wide range, is because of the time it showed the Hazzard Co. high school cheer leaders, football team etc. To have THAT many kids at that certain age, you'd probably have to have a few thousand people in your population.

I just wanted to say a hearty "Congrats!" to Chet, who just landed what could probably be a dream job. Perhaps not in pay, but in the type of work, as it involves training horses and working on a ranch. Fresh air, wide open spaces... not a bad way to make a living. Chet and I have been frenemies for years, but all the drama aside I'm very proud of this accomplishment. Sal-ute! :beer::beer:

The last 2 times I got private messages I opened them but nothing was there. I don't remember having trouble before and everybody knows I'm bad with technology. Am I doing something wrong or did the system change?

There will never be another show like DOH again. I love this site, seems like the best one other than Ben Jones. Does anyone know of others? with a forum or message board? Alot of them seem not to be updated in a long time. Does anyone belong to any of the Yahoo groups? I belong to few, but nobody seems to post anything new ... today i was listenin to my radio on the way to work and they had the Dukes VP on. They asked him what qualifications he had for the job his answer was, "the same as most if not all Dukes of Hazzard fans." then they asked him why he thought he got the job and not the "next best qualified" person? He answered, "You know i think it's cause i have a strong resemblance to Luke." HA YEAH RIGHT . he looks nothin like the hot Luke Duke. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the answer. He sounded so sure of himself and his answers. They continued to ask him other questions about the show and all but the questions were easy enough for anyone to answer. i tell ya this VP …

Hi, this is my first post here. I'm a Dukes nut from Australia. From what I have seen on the 'net, the Dukes box set DVDs are only available in Region 1, for the North American market. I have searched locally for it, but no one down here knows of it, nor does it appear on their stock lists. Does anyone know if/when the DVDs will be available overseas, particularly in Region 4 ? Thanks

I have noticed postings on this forum about recurring dreams of being chased...by Rosco P. Coltraine. I have dreamed many times about the Dukes, and after studying the phenomena, have discovered the cause. We often dream of being chased. This happens to many people. Duke fans associate being chased with the General Lee, automatically. Therefore, it is not likely that Duke fans can dream of being chased without dreaming of the Dukes. My first dream of this sort began by me being chased by a great flying beast of some sort. After a way down the road, however, the beast turned into Rosco, and I was in a car. I was eventually caught and had to outsmart Boss Hogg to let me go.…

Hey all... I am goin' to see Lynyrd Skynyrd tomorrow night right here in Long Island...I have seen them at least a dozen times since the Tribute tour in 87 ,when they got back together 10 years after the plane crash..I think I am excited about this one show more than alot of the others, I am taking my 10 year old daughter to her first concert. She is just as excited as me, she has been talking about it all summer..Now the time is here to finally go, what a way for ther to end the summer... Darrell
