    • I found out when my now retired friend Raymond S. Meldrum of American Patrol Cap & Canvas Co. started making The Skipper with Lancaster Uniform Cap Co. templates. He started making the Skipper in 2017. Here's his post.   ANOUNCMENT- NEW APCO PRODUCT Check it out, Finally Available! Customers have asked American Patrol Company many times to produce a fine quality vintage Navy/Yachting cap equal to our superb Army Officers crush caps.   We are very excited to announce our new line of nautical service caps called “The Skipper”.    These caps are made using the historic Lancaster cap company patterns, for perfect proportioning and fit. All “skipper” type caps include the following details; • Luxurious, heavy-weight 100% Marino / Cashmere (80/20) wool for water repellency, body, warmth, comfort, long life and of course, dashingly-good looks!  • 100% cotton, white and khaki removable tops also available • Removable tops make it easy to clean or change color. • Sweat-shield is built into the cap frame to prevent soiling of the top. • Natural cane frame is used for breathability, ultra-light wt, flexibility and comfort. • Full grain real LEATHER visors / chinstraps(no plastic, unless requested) • Vintage screw back buttons and insignia from the historic Lancaster Cap company storehouse. • Silky-smooth goatskin sweatband for durably and comfort. • Hand embroidered bullion insignia for yachting caps or merchant vessels. • Customizable to suit the customer. • Hand tailored in the United States at the APCo fabrication shop in Salt Lake City, Utah. The base price for a “Skipper” cap is $250 plus shipping. However, prices will vary depending on the needs of the customer.
    • bo-go-vroom... You just reminded me of something. Alan Hale Jr. (Skipper Jonas Grumby) from Gilligan's Island (1964-1967) born 1921 died 1990, is nickname for his wife Naomi Hale was Trinket. 😀 Good luck on your job hunt, I hope you can land yourself something.
    • i just want a bunny :(( and a car....and trinket money.....
    • Don't listen to those who say "Dukes is boring." They don't understand it like we do.
