  3. Is there a story behind this? I have always guessed that maybe they decided that the car was redundant, being basically the same thing as the General Lee, the only real difference being the body panels. I have also thought that maybe they decided that having off-road capability (4WD Jeep) in the family's car stable could be beneficial to future storylines. Another thing about that car; at what point did the idea that the car belonged to Daisy come into being? In the first couple of episodes I believe it was stated or implied that the car belonged to Bo and Luke; like when the balladeer stated that the boys had another car but they took the General Lee when they were expe…

Here's a story I thought would be fun to share. The other day I was driving down the road and during my journey I passed an Amish man in his horse and buggy. This incident brought back a memory. Several years ago(maybe seven or eight) I worked at a walmart store for a couple of years. During that time there was an Amish guy named Andy who also worked there. Andy was hired around the same time as I was. He did not work in the same department as I did, but I seen him a lot because he worked maintenance and stock which pretty much ment he went all over the store where ever he was needed. Andy was a very friendly person and he would talk to anyone about just about anything. W…

Well, it's racing time here in Hazzard, but of course it's ALWAYS racing time in Hazzard Co. The Moonshine Mauler is the favored winner this year, because of it's super charged engine and Hobie is the driver! There ARE some other racers though, who plan to give Hartkins a run for his money!

I purchased a martin warthog bow a year or so ago. I have been told its in very good condition but was missing some stuff. I picked up the 8 arrow quiver but I had to purchase another old bow to get it but it is the correct one at least. A friend of mine brought me s martin deerslayer sight and I put a new arrow rest on it too. Was wondering if anyone knows exactly what sight was used on the one in the show? I got the 3 pin deerslayer sight on it now and it looks good but I don't think that was the one. Definitely a cool old school wood bow. Just trying to get as close as I can to the one on the show.

I need to know if there was ever a scene of The Dukes where you'd see Daisy and Enos dancing together? I know there was one in season one, but it was at the very end and not very long Anybody know of anything else?

Dukes of Hazzard fan alert! I just realized a clever callback in the show. In Season 1 Episode 4, "Repo Men," Luke says "You get the feeling we've been here before?" when Rosco confiscates the Rolls Royce. But what most fans might not know is that this line is a nod to Season 7 Episode 1, "Happy Birthday General Lee," where Rosco takes their truck, leaving them stranded! The writers cleverly wove this continuity Easter egg into the series, and I'm loving the connection! Who else has caught similar callbacks in The Dukes of Hazzard? Share your favorite moments! #DukesOfHazzard #TheDukes #GeneralLee #Rosco #BoDuke #LukeDuke

Hi everybody, this is my first post here, but i've been lurking for a while a nd have read all your funny post. Yesterday i was watching Mrs.Daisy Hogg and when Daisy is about to marry Jamie L. Hogg i thought that was not the first time she fell in love, because i can recall she having a crush on Gaylord Duke in Duke of Duke...which made me wonder how many other times she falls in love during the series. And Bo&Luke? Bo has several crushes during the show, Diane Benson in Carnival of Thrills on top on my mind, but there must be others. I can't remember anything about poor Luke though Thanks

  10. I heard all the food they had on the set for him, Sorrell Booke didn't really eat it, the crew, cameraman etc would eat it when they yelled "Cut!" Is that true?

  11. Probably a very basic question that's already been done over the years, but what do you personally consider to the be the best season of the show? Mine would be the first season. I'm a huge fan of the original Georgia episodes, more dramatic and edgy, I've always wished that much of that had continued. Even after episode 5, the first season is a strong one for being experimental and not very generic, and with less slapstick than later seasons. Beyond season 1, which is so different it's sometimes hard to compare, I would definitely rate Season 3 as the show's best. The cast were well settled in their characters and clearly enjoying themselves, and the season saw some re…

"Dukes of Hazzard fans! Just had to share my latest YouTube comment exchange! Someone asked: "Why aren't the guys in the orange car yielding to the emergency vehicle?" My response: "Because that's not how it works in Hazzard County! The game is to OUTRUN the emergency vehicles!" #DukesOfHazzard #HazzardCounty #RoscoPColtrane #ClassicTV"

  16. I've always been intrigued by the one-off appearance by "(an)other Duke cousin", motorcycle riding Jeb Stuart Duke, played by Christopher Hensel, in season three's "Along Came a Duke". Odd that he would be introduced in such a way, never featured again, and in all my years collecting and writing about Dukes, I have never really found out the story behind the character. In my youth, part of me wondered if he had been introduced as a possible replacement for Bo should John Schneider ever leave - I vaguely recall an article with Schneider suggested that producers gave him a hard time after misleading them about his age when he auditioned and used to wonder if it related to …

I was going to post this because I wanted to know where it was, but I managed to find it. It's the corner of Drayton and Springbrook in Santa Clarita, CA. Also, isn't that lifted K10 gorgeous?

  18. I like that sound when the Dukes shift the General Lee gears. The motor goes vroom vroom. Anybody else like that sound too?
