I've just read that there will be at least one new episode of James May's Toy Stories this Christmas. If you want to know the motorsport-related subject (it's not F1), click here. I don't know if James May's Toy Stories is shown in the US, but the basic premise is that Top Gear presenter James May supersizes kids' toys. Previous episodes include a life-sized model kit of a Spitfire (airplane) and a 10 mile long model railroad track running along the course of a disused railroad. If that's whetted your appetite, it looks like several complete episodes are available on YouTube.

You beat me to it this week, but your preview is better than the one I had planned: ... and 42 other drivers qualified behind him.

The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread

Sorry Roger, it's no points for you and one point for Roth. The cast member with the largest part in 'Earth Girls Are Easy' is Rick Hurst (credited as Richard Hurst), who plays a policeman!: As for Nedra Volz's appearance, I had to watch the movie twice to spot her - blink and she's gone!: There's another connection too: Dukes lead mechanic Tom Sarmento and Dukes stuntman Corey Eubanks both get credited for stunt work. I won't kid you that it's a great movie, but it's got some fun moments. It also stars Larry Linville (Frank Burns from M*A*S*H), and features fairly early appearances by Jim Carrey and Damon Wayons.- 3,820 replies

So that's what Darian Grubb meant when he told Denny to pull his finger out .

I thought I'd post a bigger picture as non-members can't view attachments. I found this one on autoblog.com. It looks like the trailer is safe (as are all the people aboard), so it's just the back of the bus that's damaged. Coincidentally, the same thing happened to a bus carrying an English rugby team to a match last weekend. Again, there were no casualties, but it looks like a bigger fire:

Welcome to HNet, Brandon. I don't know if you've mistaken this part of the forum for the chatroom, but HNet hasn't had a chatroom since the forum upgrade earlier this year. I'm not sure if there are plans to add one - it was fun when a group of us got together for the Christmas party or similar event. In the meantime, you can add your contibutions in the regular forums, or possibly PM (Private Message) individual members.

This one's really addressed to MeadowMufn. I know that for various, unavoidable reasons you haven't had as much time as you'd like for HNet recently. One consequence is that first posts from new members aren't always moderated for view within 24 hours of posting, which means they can easily get missed by people like me who mainly click on "Today's Posts". One recent example is Brenton's excellent Boss Hogg Drawing that I only discovered nearly three months after it was posted. Is it possible to either change the time stamp on moderated posts or maybe just post a very brief reply so they don't get lost? I can imagine new members being disheartened if they think their first contibutions are being ignored. In the meantime, get well soon. For the rest of us, let's make the effort to keep an eye out for posts from new members so we can welcome them to Hazzard County .

If you're looking for Uncle Jesse overalls then the light wash denim does seem to be elusive (unless you want childrenswear or ones with cut-off legs for women). I searched Ebay.com (using the search term "bib overall"), and the nearest ones turned out to be striped when I zoomed in . Your spelling of colour suggests you're somewhere that speaks British English, so you could try searching for "dungarees" (which appears to be a type of jeans in the US). The closest I found was on Ebay.co.uk. They're still a little dark - maybe a bit of bleach could sort that out . The asking price is £33.99 + P&P, and they're available in sizes from XS to XXL. To cover all bases, the seller describes them as "Men Women Unisex Light Wash Denim Onesie Dungarees All In One Piece Bib Overalls"!

When the time is right, just be careful what you search for - I saw this on Failblog the other day :

I took a trip back to the late-80s recently when I watched the Jeff Goldblum/Geena Davis comedy 'Earth Girls Are Easy'. Which two of the following Dukes cast appeared in the movie?: A) Sonny Shroyer (Enos) Nedra Volz (Miz Tisdale) C) Don Pedro Colley (Sheriff Little) D) Lindsay Bloom (Mabel Tillingham) E) Jeff Altman (Hughie Hogg) F) Rick Hurst (Cletus)- 3,820 replies

chips (like fat French Fries. What y'all call chips, we call crisps, and what you call Lay's, we call Walkers (although Tayto and King are more popular in Ireland))

potato (I am in Ireland ) PS. For any Dan Quayle supporters out there, it's the same as a potatoe .

I'll probably think of some more ideas, but here's a few suggestions to be going on with: 1) I agree that you could probably merge "Dukes of Hazzard News" and "Latest News". 2) "On TV This Week" could merge with the "TV" section of "Community" or become a sub-forum of it. 3) "Dukes of Hazzard Trivia" could probably become another heading under "Community" rather than having its own section. 4) "DukesOfHazzardFanFic.com" no longer seems to have its own identity or header, so could become another heading under "Fan Fiction". 5) "Moderator Meetin' Minutes" and "Chat Times" could be archived. 6) The "Dukes of Hazzard Movie" and "Dukes of Hazzard PC and Video Games" sections aren't so popular nowadays, so could maybe slip down the list whilst giving "The Show" section higher billing. 7) I've just noticed after all these years that "New Users Guide" needs an apostrophe. My preference would be "New Users' Guide", but "New User's Guide" would still be OK, and match the "New Hazzard Citizen's Guide" heading. Of course, you could change that to "New Hazzard Citizens' Guide"!

It's not very clear in this picture, but it's supposed to say "Vance". If you do a Google image search for "christopher mayer autograph" you'll see better examples. There's not much to go on - what makes you think it's Laramie Street? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I can't see anything that places it Laramie Street either.

The non-too-flattering text seems to say: The years are starting to show on surviving cast members: (from left) Ben Jones, Bach, Sonny Shroyer, James Best, Wopat, Denver Pyle and Schneider. This was taken during the first reunion movie. I'm not sure why Cathy, Tom and John got their first names missed off. Here's another picture of Cathy and Norma - the caption says 1980: imagecollect.com (as if you couldn't guess!) And here's Cathy, Norma and Gertrude (Cathy's grandmother according to the caption) in 1981: imagecollect.com And to keep to family theme going, Cathy and her daughters, Sophie and Laura in 2012: Getty Images BTW. Cooter's daughter is Nancylou, played by Kim Richards.

When you posted the mirror pictures the other day, I went looking for more pictures of Cathy. One of the first to show up was a cover of LosAngeles magazine. A search for a larger version led me back to Ebay. Ebay On the next page I found another picture from the same photoshoot (NB. I've cropped this one a little at the top and left, but no more of the lady on the right was visible). It's attributed to Harry Langdon: Ebay/Harry Langdon There seem to be quite a few pictures of Cathy from studio shoots on Ebay at the moment, most attributed to Harry Langdon (remember the stripey leotard and white tree from a few pages back?). Here's another example below. I'll dig some more out if anyone's interested. Harry's other subjects include Cheryl Ladd, Sally Field, Diana Ross and Dolly Parton amongst many, many others. Ebay/Harry Langdon A few pages ago I posted pictures of Lurene Tuttle and her daughter. Well, here's a picture of Cathy and her mother, Norma. I also found a picture of Cathy with her mother and grandmother which I can post if anyone wants to see it (it has intrusive watermarks across it). Ebay

Good news! I think I've finally cracked my Flash Player problem by applying a fix that I'd swear didn't work the first time I tried it. To lighten the mood, here's a related joke I saw earlier: My computer crashed and now all the other computers have slowed down so they can see what's happening. If you want something a little more satirical, how about this one?: My computer takes so long to respond these days that it's only good for the United Nations now.

I tend to switch off when the commercials are on. Occasionally I'm two minutes late coming back to the race and find I'm just in time for the next commercial break! Roger, you didn't give me much to go on when I tried to track down the promo you mentioned. I haven't found it yet, but I did find the following video: Apparently, back in the '80s, various drivers recorded a double album containing 22 songs under the title 'Stock Car Racing's Entertainers of the Year'. You can read more about it on this Jalopnik article (which has a few more videos), and see the full track listing here. Maybe y'all have this album, but it was new to me.
