I've also heard the rumor about the Hollywood sign appearing in an episode, but have never seen it myself (other than in the episode and movie set in Hollywood). Roth, there are two or three episodes in season 2 which filmed scenes in Griffith Park, but I don't think the sign is visible from the roads they used. One of the later episodes used the tunnel on Mount Hollywood Drive in Griffith Park, but I still don't recall seeing the sign. If anyone can pin down the scene or episode, I'll take a look, but I believe it's just a myth.

I'll probably be around if we start at about the same time (remembering that we're back to the usual time difference). If we do watch two episodes, I propose a refreshment break between the two, which will also allow the region 1 viewers to catch up .

Building a Hazzard County
HossC replied to dukesfan4life1978tj's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
As Roth said, my Hazzard Square thread has pictures of all the buildings in the town square and several others. If you're building the square, you may also find my Buildings of Hazzard thread useful, and you could also take a look at my Signs of Hazzard thread for various random signage from around the county. A couple of members have already modeled some of Hazzard County. Mark B was working on a very impressive model of Cooter's garage, and his The Hazzard Garage (Cooter's Garage) thread includes a floor plan. On a smaller scale, Monster01 built an HO scale model of the square. The HO Scale Model of Hazzard Square thread includes loads of work-in-progress pictures. -

I think that was 'The Hack of Hazzard'. Who's been calling you a "vintage nut bowl", Roger? I don't know what it says about me, but I keep getting Spam : I see it gives a "New" price, I just hope the "Best" price isn't for used Spam.- 3,832 replies

It's a little ironic that tires would be an issue because only a few laps before Kyle Busch crashed, the commentators mentioned the Goodyear blimp and gave a huge plug to Goodyear saying how amazing it was that they could make tires for Texas. I haven't seen Gordon's tires, but Busch's were pretty shredded.

Garrett, I'm sure your video works fine in the US, but it isn't available here. I was able to find another version from the caption. I'm aware that some people will probably consider this song to be a sacrilegious treatment of a track by The Beatles, but I like it. She's a Woman - Scritti Politti

Flash and Mobile/HTML work fine for me using Firefox and Chrome (I have Java disabled), and the Java version works in Internet Explorer. As Roth says, they all end up in the same place.

This Sunday's race is the AAA Texas 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway. Garrett, I guess you'll be reasonably happy with Jimmie Johnson in third and Jeff Gordon in eighth, although Ricky is only one place behind . 1 Carl Edwards 2 Brad Keselowski 3 Jimmie Johnson 4 Paul Menard 5 Kyle Busch 6 Matt Kenseth 7 Dale Earnhardt Jr 8 Jeff Gordon 9 Ricky Stenhouse Jr 10 Marcos Ambrose 11 Kasey Kahne 12 Joey Logano 13 Ryan Newman 14 Denny Hamlin 15 Martin Truex Jr 16 Juan Pablo Montoya 17 Aric Almirola 18 Greg Biffle 19 Kevin Harvick 20 Jeff Burton 21 Austin Dillon 22 Bobby Labonte 23 Parker Kligerman 24 Jamie McMurray 25 Elliott Sadler 26 Clint Bowyer 27 Casey Mears 28 David Gilliland 29 David Ragan 30 Danica Patrick 31 Kurt Busch 32 Trevor Bayne 33 Mark Martin 34 Josh Wise 35 Michael McDowell 36 Kyle Larson 37 Landon Cassill 38 Travis Kvapil 39 David Reutimann 40 Timmy Hill 41 Joe Nemechek 42 Dave Blaney 43 J.J. Yeley NASCAR.com says the race will start at 3:00 PM ET, but with their previous record, and the clocks going back, I'd double-check that if I were you. Live coverage is on ESPN.

I believe they also used some kind of gliders to check out the toxic waste dumping in 'Cooter's Girl'.- 3,832 replies

For this week only, it's actually 9pm UK, 10pm Central European Time (I checked with the link you posted in the other thread ). Our clocks went back last week, and yours don't go back until a few hours after the proposed chat.

They used some sort of gliders to find the Beaudry's remote shack, but I think Roth is correct that it was horses in 'Bye, Bye Boss'.- 3,832 replies

Tornado Steam was phased out in Britain in the 1960s, but there are still a load of steam enthusiasts. One group raised a huge amount of money to build a brand-new locomotive called Tornado. It was completed in 2008, and featured in a 'Top Gear' race with a Jaguar XK120 and a Vincent Black Shadow motorbike. If anyone wants to know, it's an LNER Peppercorn Class A1. The official steam speed record is still held by the British locomotive Mallard, a streamlined A4 Pacific.

I do know why I thought of this song - it's currently being used on a commercial. I'm A Woman - Peggy Lee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh8ZpZkUr2Y I was going to say "That don't impress me much", but that's a whole different song . Actually this one's fine with me, and reminds me of this scene from The Big Bang Theory:
-
I'm hoping to be there on Saturday.

Dutch You've just reminded me of the scene from 'Miracle on 34th Street' when Kris Kringle sings 'Sinterklaas Kapoentje' with the little Dutch girl. I know it as a black and white movie (I prefer the 1947 version to the one from 1994), but I found a colorized clip of the scene on YouTube:

In the UK and Ireland we're a hour closer to you until the weekend because our clocks went back a week before yours.

I've posted a couple of Specsavers commercials before, so they obviously appeal to my sense of humor. In the latest one, an aerobics instructor accidently goes into a room where they're expecting a game of bingo... When I went to YouTube for the video, I found they'd made some follow-ups where they interviewed the class afterwards. ETA. Sadly, they seem to be unavailable now.

I think they're standing outside the County building, but the building behind them is the house on the corner of square that's next to Boss's house. There was a picture of Daisy in front of the same house a few pages back. I'm not sure where the picture of Denver was taken. My first thought was the Boar's Nest, but like you, I don't think it looks quite right. It could be the inside wall of a set. I'll have to look through my pictures, because it sure looks familiar.

Fever - Peggy Lee Roth, you probably missed it, but I made a note about posting song names/artists in the Musical Chairs thread recently:
-
Remind me nearer to Sunday, but I think I can make that. I agree about the FIA - sometimes they seem to forget about the fans.
