  1. Owlknight - Welcome to Hazzardnet Yeah ol' Jim "Dandy" Magnum is something else. BOC was a helluva band. But you forgot one song that BOC does that would fit just perfect in the movie - Dixie. Thier version is one of my favorites.... Darrell
  2. I had to put a PS2 on my X-mas list , well the family list, just so I could get the DOH game. I might get it for my kids sine they will play it more than me and most of thier friends have PS 2....I still would rather have an old Atari 2600 , that is more my level anyway....lol Darrell
  3. Like Brian said. Swap meets and car shows are great places to get anything automotive. I have found some great Matchbox and Hot Wheels sets and some Dukes stuff. Just wish I could buy the astual car and not a Matchbox size version...LOL Darrell
  4. Pendragon I know that was very difficult to say on here. That takes courage and strength , which you have . You have gotten a lot of support from your family and friends. Just want to say, even though we don't know each other, that I am glad you have stayed strong. I love to read the stories you have written and hope to continue doing so. I am sure others on here will offer prayers and praise also. Here's a toast to you....... Darrell
  5. Welcome to Hazzardnet There are people from all over the world on here that love the Dukes...That should tell everyone something about the show and it's appeal. Great to see other fans from abroad on here. Enjoy yourself on here and have fun.... Darrell
  6. I still think Burt Reynolds will make a good JD Hogg. Burt has gotten more serious roles as he has gotten older . I can picture him playing a sleazy and funny sarcastic character along the lines of what he did in Boogie Nights and Striptease w/ Demi Moore. Or maybe being a power hungry hard-ass as he was in Driven... Just something to think about..... Darrell
  7. Welcome to Hazzardnet... Glad you made your way on here. Hope you enjoy yourself around these parts. That is cool that you are related. Maybe someday he will come to one of your family functions. Wouldn't that be a great surprise for ya? And after that you can intrduce him to all of us on here..... ... Once again enjoy yourself around here... Darrell
  8. Not a bad choice. I looked her up on the internet here to see what she looks like. Ali And Gretchen do look alike though. But I am still sticking with Gretchen Wilson as my Daisy....... Darrell
  9. That must have been very cool to see....I bet the crowd loved it too...
  10. I know this might sound crazy.....But Dolly could play Lulu....Think about it, Dolly and Burt have worked together before - The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. Maybe the people making the movie might not have to have Lulu as a big woman, maybe they will make her a very sexy older woman. Dolly Parton would fit that perfect.... Darrell
  11. They have to find a place that will perfect to be the Boar's Nest...Who knows, maybe they got money in the budget to build a Boar's Nest...
  12. Only if kid Rock can do a song like Picture or Only God Knows Wny, along the lines where he sings and not shouts the song....... I like Kid Rock, but I like his more acoustic stuff better....
  13. Boss Hogg and Uncle Jesse have been cast Burt Reynolds will be Boss Hogg Willie Nelson will be Uncle Jesse http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/variety/20041014/va_mi/burt_3 http://www.tvguide.com/news/entertainment/041015.asp
  14. Great news.......I think that will be great. It will give the movie more seriousness, at least I hope. Maybe the director will drop out , for whatever reason , and get a decent director in that would make this film a good movie. ... Like I have been saying I think Burt would make a great Boss Hogg. I know Danny Devito is probably everyone's first choice. Burt Reynolds will bring ,maybe, a more serious side to it... And Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse, great choice.....can't wait to see him as Jesse Darrell
  15. Johnny Great car. There was one for sale by me during the summer. Not the greatest condition adn I was thinking about getting it. It was a golden beige color with some faded spots and the interiior needed a lot of work. But guess what, I was too late. That car sold in about a week. There is something about those bigger cars that I love.... Darrell
  16. I was a little kid back in the 70's when KISS was on top. The 80's weren't bad for them, but they did it without the make up and a couple of different members. Then when they got al 4 origianl members back together in 96 it was a dream come true for me. Someone who was too young to see the band the original band in make up , the 70's lived again. Now they still are using the make-up, but 2 original members left again, Ace Frehley - guitar and Peter Criss - drums. I can't see that and don't like it, but I guess it makes money for Gene and Paul.... Darrell
  17. A lot of great Southern Rock and country would make this soundtrack. Let's hope the people in charge of the music don't screw this up .
  18. I don't know what I was thinking. I forgot a band I loved as a kid .. You wanted the best You got the best The hottest band in the world KISS
  19. I have the Hayseed Dixie CD- Kiss My Grass the KISS tribute one. As far as rap , not for me......still think it's all "rap crap" Darrell
  20. YYEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAA Thank you for the info. Great news on a definate date.....I can't wait for it... Darrell
  21. Great , I hoped this was going to be a good topic..... Lynyrd Skynyrd Georgia Satellites Kentucky Headhunters Travis Tritt Waylon Jennings Dolly Parton Loretta Lynn Montgomery Gentry Hank Williams Jr Kid Rock The Cult Ozzy/ Black Sabbath Zakk Wylde Black Crowes John Mellencamp ZZ Top and of course ELVIS These are just some of what I listen to . It all depends what I am in the mood for...There are a lot more for me, I keep adding to this later on. Darrell
  22. Hey y'all Just want to see what everyone on here listens to? Favorite bands? Favorite type of music? stuff like that.... Hopefully we all can get to know one another a bit better..... Favorite group -1. Lynyrd Skynyrd 2. Georgia Satellites I love country, a lot of the classic country of the late 60's-late 70's ... Darrell
  23. DixieDavenport Go to Cooter's website . He has a DVD advertised on the home page. It is the "25 years with the DOH" . It says it has stuff from the beginning of the series, some interviews , DukesFest 2004 and 25th anniversary flight of the General Lee.. Hope this helps ya..... Darrell
  24. I know what ya mean about having toys as a a kid. I had some of the Dukes stuff and a lot of Star Wars stuff, but I played with it all the time. I have 2 of the ERTL 1/18th General Lee's . I tried to pust one out on top of the entertainment center, but was overuled by the wife. I had the General Lee and the Smokey and The Bandit Trans Am out, but are both in the closet now . Someday I will get to put them out. I have a 2nd General Lee for my son's room . I have a couple of high shelves that have tractor trailers from my company and a shelf for the General Lee. Hopefully he will never take them down......I am praying on that...... Darrell
  25. Konvoy76....First off, Welcome to Hazzardnet and ejoy yourself around here. Hopefully our local sheriff - MaryAnne will be kind to ya..LOL Not bad on the suggestions..unfortunately Bo, Luke & Daisy have already been cast. Bo- Sean William Scott Luke - Johnny Knoxville Daisy - Jessica Simpson The rest of the cast hasn't been casted yet....Everyone here has some ideas about casting and you made some good ones too. Let's just see what the studio does , then it will get even more interesting.. Darrell
