I was just making some suggestions to save some money...I know people don't like to use the internet for purchases. But unfortunately the internet has become a major part of business and retail shopping. You got it R.J. Here in Long Island there is a big store everywhere...Didin't know you didn't have one nearby up in Canada...Did you try Amazon or Ebay or any other online store? They usually have everything and sometimes free shipping.... Darrell

Brian.. Did you take pictures like the ones in websites that were posted? I am sure you did....I loved seeing the pics on those websites see how little has changed, except the Boar's Nest..It reminds me of when I was a little kid in the 70's, I am only 34 lol, visiting family in NC. When I was last there last year looking at pictures and showing my kids and them saying not much has changed in the town my family is in.... Well enough of my rambling.... Darrell

Thanks MaryAnne I appreciate the reply about the Columbia House tapes....I will probably wait for the DVD's of season 2 and on...I have enough tapes cluttering up cabinets and a closet LOL...... Darrell

How many videos do Columbia House release? Did they do it by season or just random episodes....That would be some video collection then...Thanks goodness for DVD for space limitations.... RJ1984 - Why didn't you get them at WalMart or Best Buy or soemthing like that?? I ordered a DVD - Titan A E - through my local video store because I couldn't find it anywhere.Then shopping in WalMart I found it in the bargain bin for 5.50 , that was a couple of weeks and $20 extra dollars later....

That is too cool to see a Hazzard patrol car on down the highway. These people spent alot of time and money building these cars , so why not show them off. They should be proud. Were the patrol cars at Dukes fest all differrent models?

Smokey & The Bnadit is out on DVD , has been for a couple of years. They released the 3 Smokey movies too in a set called Smokey & The Bandit- Pursuit Pack.....Check Amazon or Ebay for it, it's not expensive at all.. Darrell

I was born in 1970, loved Smokey &The Bandit(still do) Star Wars(what kid didn't)..Listened to KISS til the make -up came off, then got into NewWave/Punk for high school. Watched the Dukes, BJ & The Bear, Sheriff Lobo, Knight Rider , A -Team til TV wasn't cool anymore.... Here on Long Island in the 70's and early 80's , it was a bit more open out here. More farmland, open areas , drive-ins, before it got over developed and too congested.

That was fun...I thought I would rate like Enos, but I rated like Bo saying I'm caring and carefree and won't grow up anytime soon..That may be true and all, but I think I am better looking....HAHAHA.....Y'all can laugh now.... Darrell

I am not even sure where they announced or if they ever did , where it would be filmed. Jessica Simpson really hasn't mentioned the Dukes project . She is on TV contantly and one would think she would have casually mentioned it.

I still wouldn't mind if it were made with new people , so long as it keeps the original spirit of the DOH. If it was made that way the first 5 episodes were , I think they might be successful with it. I think getting the orignal cast for the movie would be great for the die-hard fans, but unfortunately Hollywood is out to make money and the original cast might not be able enough to draw the people into the theaters.Don't forget you are going back 20-25 years since the TV show was filmed. As far as cameos or minor roles, they have to be in there.

Did anyone on here attend Dukesfest a couple of weeks ago at Bristol ? If anyone did I would love to hear how it was.. Also did anybody see the DOH on the Grand Ol Opry ? I haven't been able to watch it since they took it off CMT and put it on GAC. My cable co. doesn't carry GMC..... Darrell

I just saw the video on CMT from Mark Wills - 19 Somethin'. He drives up in the General Lee . The band is at a drive-in and behind them is the General Lee and black trans am - Bandit's T/A . Great song about growing up in the 70's as a kid and then a teen in the 80's. That is my generation in the song, kid in the 70's, teen in 80's...Can't say enough about it...It might an old song, but that was the first time I saw the video.. Darrell
