Val...Thank you for liking my pick of Daisy - Gretchen Wilson...I will always say she would have made a great Daisy. Sway...Johnny Knoxville - Cooter.....That isn't bad at all. They are both a bit crazy....Did anybody see him in the remake of Walking Tall? . I am still not sure even if I want to this movie, I have been a BIG Sheriff Buford Pusser fan for a long time and Hollywood went and did this. Darrell

Welcome to Hazzaed(net) Dee.... I think the General Lee is as much part of the Dukes and America. It is a car that almost everyone knows about, eeven if they never saw the show, they know where it was from. Hollywood can do anything they want. BUT to take the flag off the car , in my opinion only, will make people , like me, think twice about the movie in that we all know what the car should look like. The General Lee is as much a star of that show as the actors. Look at the movie Starsky & Hutch, they used the same car from the TV show, because people are familiar with the car. The flag needs to be there. Either way , the studio will do what it wants.. Darrell

As far as Jessica Biel , I am not sure. But she grew up in Colorado and didn't you want all southerners to play the parts? Forgot to add something to my post earlier....My great, great Grandfather was a Confedrate soldier in NC and I am a member of of the Sons Of Confederate Veterans....Not bad for someone from NY.... Sway... Maybe you should write an essay or something on the Southern culture and how you feel about it. I am sure it might make for some mighty fine reading. And my opinion is that the Dukes belong to AMERICA, not just the south., although there is nothing wrong with claiming it. It's too good of a handle to be forgotten." thanks Brian. ..He was an old school wrestler, always kept up that it is not fake. A larger than life character and always great for a story. Legend has it he told promoters when he was younger he played football for West Texas St. and convinced probably most everyone he did, even got invited to alumni games and such. Problem was , he never went to college. He could talk up something with the best of em'. Always kept it "real" , none of this behind the scenes stuff today, if you know what I mean.... Darrell

Hey Y'all Just want to say hi to everyone and hope to make some friends on here. I started watching the Dukes when it came out and was sad when it ended. There will never be another show like DOH again. I love this site, seems like the best one other than Ben Jones. Does anyone know of others? with a forum or message board? Alot of them seem not to be updated in a long time. Does anyone belong to any of the Yahoo groups? I belong to few, but nobody seems to post anything new ... I am hoping to make this a regular visit and talk about The DOH as oftern as anyone can. Long Live The Dukes.. Darrell

Traveler I was thinking the same exact thing, actually me and my wife were discussing this at supper the other day. I can't believe someone thought the same thing about the what should be in the movie...I think the movie could be better if it wasn't just some dumb comedy.... Darrell

But it is the only book on the series. I have had the book for a few years now and I still find myself reading it over and over. I wish they could update it when and if the movie comes out , they did that for the Beverly Hillbillies - had a good book , like the Dukes ,on the series and updated it to include the movie. Maybe someone will put out a Dukes trivia book someday..... Darrell
