  1. there used to be a fan site that had recent pictures of Georgia locations, maybe someone can help with that....If you watch the first 5 episodes you will definately notice the differences in the sets Darrell
  2. Or maybe Luke wished Bo would get hit on the head to knock some sense into him every once in a while....But family is family and you take the good with the bad.....
  3. That is too cool to see a Hazzard patrol car on down the highway. These people spent alot of time and money building these cars , so why not show them off. They should be proud. Were the patrol cars at Dukes fest all differrent models?
  4. Smokey & The Bnadit is out on DVD , has been for a couple of years. They released the 3 Smokey movies too in a set called Smokey & The Bandit- Pursuit Pack.....Check Amazon or Ebay for it, it's not expensive at all.. Darrell
  5. I was born in 1970, loved Smokey &The Bandit(still do) Star Wars(what kid didn't)..Listened to KISS til the make -up came off, then got into NewWave/Punk for high school. Watched the Dukes, BJ & The Bear, Sheriff Lobo, Knight Rider , A -Team til TV wasn't cool anymore.... Here on Long Island in the 70's and early 80's , it was a bit more open out here. More farmland, open areas , drive-ins, before it got over developed and too congested.
  6. That was fun...I thought I would rate like Enos, but I rated like Bo saying I'm caring and carefree and won't grow up anytime soon..That may be true and all, but I think I am better looking....HAHAHA.....Y'all can laugh now.... Darrell
  7. they got my votes...All for season DVD's... Alot of votes for the DOH season , a little over 1200 votes.... Come on everyone go and vote to get Enos and The Dukes cartoon released...
  8. Kristy Duke Sounds like you a great time. I wish I was as lucky as you to attend. Where are your reviews going to be posted? I can't wait to read them. Did you get pictures and autographs? Wellanyway I am glad you had a great time Darrell
  9. I am not even sure where they announced or if they ever did , where it would be filmed. Jessica Simpson really hasn't mentioned the Dukes project . She is on TV contantly and one would think she would have casually mentioned it.
  10. I still wouldn't mind if it were made with new people , so long as it keeps the original spirit of the DOH. If it was made that way the first 5 episodes were , I think they might be successful with it. I think getting the orignal cast for the movie would be great for the die-hard fans, but unfortunately Hollywood is out to make money and the original cast might not be able enough to draw the people into the theaters.Don't forget you are going back 20-25 years since the TV show was filmed. As far as cameos or minor roles, they have to be in there.
  11. Did anyone on here attend Dukesfest a couple of weeks ago at Bristol ? If anyone did I would love to hear how it was.. Also did anybody see the DOH on the Grand Ol Opry ? I haven't been able to watch it since they took it off CMT and put it on GAC. My cable co. doesn't carry GMC..... Darrell
  12. Sway What have had published? Who published it? post the links or the works you say were published.... When you write your Duke stuff , do you dress like Bo or Luke? Go outside and slide across a car hood? Shoot a bow? *chuckling just thinking about it* You know to actually get into character!!!
  13. "Anything yall want to disscuss here Dukes related is alright. Mind your manners though, and be kind to your neighbors. Why, its the Hazzard way." It's funny that Sway has this saying on his hazzard group in the forum section....Some people should practice what they preach....
  14. There will always be something about Daisy.......Those shorts, those legs, her personality- Daisy has it all....Not to mention she had a hot car too.. Darrell
  15. Supposedley the Charger will run in NASCAR in the Daytona 500 and then will go on sell shortly after that...here are acouple of links http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0%2C1249%2C595048141%2C00.html http://www.detnews.com/2004/autosinsider/0407/22/c01-215232.htm hope that helps.... Darrell
  16. I have been trying to read all the back posts and stories since I joined a few weeks ago... RebellwolfUT Hope to keep reading all your stuff and look forward to speaking with ya.... Darrell
  17. I loved all the toys he mentioned in the song , Evel knievel, stretch armstrong....Then the parachute pants, WOW , what the heck was I thinking back then...LOL.....That song kinda brought back some ggod memories of growing up..... Darrell
  18. I just saw the video on CMT from Mark Wills - 19 Somethin'. He drives up in the General Lee . The band is at a drive-in and behind them is the General Lee and black trans am - Bandit's T/A . Great song about growing up in the 70's as a kid and then a teen in the 80's. That is my generation in the song, kid in the 70's, teen in 80's...Can't say enough about it...It might an old song, but that was the first time I saw the video.. Darrell
  19. From what I understand The charger is coming back as a 4 door car, it is suppose to replace the Intrepid. The Charger template was submitted to NASCAR last month for their approval . I am not sure what it will look like, maybe it will be like the concept of a couple of years ago..don't know yet... Darrell
  20. Sway what is your point? Please tell me then. Just trying to understand you thats all. You are OK with Walking Tall, which surprises me. Dukes being southern, I get that, but it is just as much for America too, family, wrong from right, fast cars, bars, that is all over the country. It just happened to be based in the South.
  21. Brian I don't think anyone coulda said it better than that... Any chance you want to send it in to WB or whoever is making the movie? I wish those people would read the forums and such to see how the fans feel about it. Maybe in the shortterm they are trying to please the politically correct public, BUT in the long run ,maybe, merchandising and marketing might fall short . I think if the studio will try to capitlize on the merchandising, after al this is the DOH, a great number of fans will be turned off. The fans know what the car should look like and to see something that is different with the DOH name on it will not sell well , in my opinion. Take for example the movie Godzilla . All the hype and secrecy about what Godzilla looked liked til the movie came out..Godzilla was different than waht everyone grew up with. The movie was a bomb. All the toys and figures did not sell well at all. That was Hollywood trying to reinvent the wheel, thinking they could make a better product. Well guess hwar , Hollywood was wrong. I know the Godzilla part might be extreme , but I feel if they change something we(well most of us are)are familiar with then it might be a bit of a let down.. Darrell
  22. I put my vote in...That would be awesome if they released it as part of the Dukes DVD. If they put out the full season it might very well be a set all by itself... Darrell
  23. Meadowmufn....Again that is too good... If the car is so recognizable all over the world, then why mess with it at all? I know it is not as good a point as what Brian an Meadowmufn wrote, but I tried.... Darrell
  24. Hey Val and Meadowmufn- -that was too funny from both of you. I loved it, just great. .. I saw Larry The Cable Guy, not the blue collar tour movie, on comedy central over the weekend, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. He was dang funny. He might be good as Cooter, good idea... Sway- that is funny coming from you considering your "views" . To remake a Southern Classic like Walking Tall and put it in the Northeast and with the Rock too...I was sure you would have not liked it , since you are so dead set on the DOH is so southern...
  25. Neat picture....Where is that from?
