  1. After Rosco accidently knocked Boss down a hill, he looked down at Boss at the bottom and asked him if he broke anything important. Boss responded, "No, (looked up and shook fist) but I will in a minute. Just wait 'till I get my hands on you." Also in that episode when Rosco took a hard tumble he reacted, "I think I broke everything."
  2. It's possible that Uncle Jesse simply misspoke. Of course, that would be out of character for him...he is a pretty sharp old ridge runner. I'm gone.
  3. Wow, lukefan07, Uncle Jesse, their great-uncle? That's good thinking. I'm trying to come up with a reason why it can't be so but I can't think of one. It will be interesting to see what other Hazzard folks think of this one. Here's some trivia from "Undercover Dukes" This was Mr Belding's (from Saved by the Bell) third (at least) appearence on the series. Boss mentions another TV show on this episode (60 Minutes) Before this race, Bo had 8 career race victories on the circuit. The President of the U.S.A. called at the end of the episode to congratulate the boys on breaking up the mob. He also wished Jesse a happy birthday. In the big race (15th annual Capitol City 150) Darrell Waltrip finished second. Bobby Allison finished third. Richard Petty finished fourth. Also racing were Bill Elliott, Ricky Rudd, Buddy Baker, and (my favorite) Cale Yarborough. My trivia question, is who drove the winning car at the beginning of the race and who drove it for the checkered flag?
  4. Thanks for the info luke fan07. That sheds a lot of light on things. I was hoping someone would have had the answer by now. Maybe now that you have reactivated interest in this thread, someone will respond. Cooter, ya out there?
  5. Woodchuck Pass and Bear Claw Swamp are the real ones. I made up Woodchuck Marsh and Bullfrog Dam. Here's two. Buster Moon or Warren Moon. Doctor Williams or Judge Peabody
  6. Don't apologize luke fan07....you just broke the world record for fastest correct answer.(Bo snuck in 2 minutes later) That's awesome. Part of this is who gets there first. I know it's frustrating when someone beats you to something you knew. I think you're right Bo, second cousins sounds familiar. I bet Min has it on the database. By the way, nice thorough job on that cousins list!!! I'm gone.
  7. Welcome back Min, you're right it was Bo on the ladder. Weren't the Comfurts cousins or were they just distant relatives? I was thinking that the oldest Comfurt is Jesse's cousin? Here's another question from "High Flyin' Dukes". When Daisy tried to convince someone to fly with her, (he or she) said "Believe it or not, I feel safer in the General Lee" Who said that? Hey Min, check out Duke or Dupe, with your database you should be able pop out a few of those if you have a good enough imagination to make up some phony Hazzard stuff....I'm guessing you do. Maybe we can do dueling databases which means I'll be wearing out the pages of my notebook LOL
  8. I wouldn't describe this as a "favorite" Boss quote but it is interesting. It's from "Cooter's Girl" when Boss was planning on locking up them Duke boys. "I'll have them picking weeds off the county highways 'til the year 2000." (This first aired on 12-30-83) That was a scary thought. It reminds me of when they got locked up in Osage County. That sure looked like it was going to be long term....now it's time for a Waylon quote.... "In Hazzard we tend to like happy endings."
  9. You got those three right but those other two are tough. I'll hold off before answering and give somebody else a chance. I'm gone.
  10. You're right. It's Cooter's daughter (Episode title "Cooter's girl.") I think you just broke BoJamesDuke's record for the quickest correct answer. Here's another. Two Dukes actually flew in "High Flying Dukes". Who were they? One flew in the plane and one flew on a rope ladder. By the way, flying in the General doesn't apply to this question. LOL
  11. Nice job Dixie, you got them all right. (it's glueworks not deli) Here's some more. Which one was really on the show? Hoyt Axton or Roy Clark Woodchuck Pass or Woodchuck Marsh Bear Claw Swamp or Bullfrog Dam Lucius Clay or Emery Potter (episode names) Sweet Home Hazzard or The Runaway
  12. Naw, it was the Tribune. That was a tough one. I wouldn't have known it if I wouldn't have just seen it. Here's one. Who is NancyLou Nelson? Her mother's name was Beverly Hibbs (when NancyLou was born). She was 18 on the show and the actress who played her was Kim Richards.
  13. Those are all good ones Bo. Here's one when the bad guys were going to turn part of Hazzard County into a toxic waste dump. "Dumping toxic waste in Hazzard...why, friends, that's like polluting paradise."
  14. I am curious about that book. Is David Hofstede just a fan or was he a friend of Gy Waldron's or something? Could you tell me a little more about how the book is laid out and what it's purpose is. I guess the "Unofficial" part concerns me. If it's unofficial, does that mean that it simply the author's personal interpretation of Hazzard County? Shoot, any Hazzard fan could do that.
  15. Nice job, luke fan07, the only one you missed up was Whitewater Valley. Jensen's Bridge is the real Hazzard County landmark. To answer yours, Mel Tillis was on twice. He was on "The Rustlers" and "The Hazzardgate Tape" (the only singer to appear on a season 5 episode) I think the girl who played his daughter on "The Rustlers" ended up marrying Rosco (James Best..in real life). Maybe someone could confirm that. Which one of these is real? Ace Parker or Wendell Wilson Lone Pine Deli or Morgan's Glueworks (episode names) Road Pirates or Hazzard's Finest
  16. You got it right luke fan07, I made up Racoon River. Which one of these was on and which is made up... Red Oak City or Cedar City Jensen's Bridge or Whitewater Valley Johnny Paycheck or Johnny Cash Hogg's Fireworks Factory or Hogg's Mining Company L.B. Davenport or Irene Hogg
  17. Right Bo, it's Bo. MaryAnne, I just saw the Hughie Hogg episode and didn't even pay attention to the kind of car it was. (hangs head in shame) Now I'm wondering what the make of Enos's station wagon was that blew up on "Enos in Trouble". Here's a question from that episode. Enos was shown on the front page of an old newspaper from Los Angeles. Was the paper named The Los Angeles Times or Los Angeles Tribune?
  18. I hate to tell you this but you missed all 3. Jeb McCobb lives in Hazzard Marsh. Walter's Paint Shop is in Possum Hollow and Bib Tarkey is an old friend of Jesse's. By the way, Del McCurdy is a bluegrass singer in real life and has never been on the show (although I wish he would have been.). I just made up the Judge and Flat Bottom Archery Shop although it sure sounds like something from Hazzard. Here's another...Boxtop Bend or Racoon River
  19. Right Bo, it's "Heiress Daisy Duke". Here's one from "Twin Trouble" Which one of the Duke boys was attracted to one of the twin robbers...Bo or Luke (or Jesse LOL)
  20. What is the "Unofficial Companion"?
  21. Yep, you're right, Frontage Road is real and Sassafrass Street is made up. Here's two I posted earlier that weren't answered: Jeb McCobb or Judge J.B. Shaftner Flat Bottom Archery Shop or Walter's Paint Shop ....and here's a new one....Bib Tarkey or Del McCurdy
  22. You're right Luke fan 07, Hank Jr was never on but Buck Owens was. To answer yours, "Strange Visitor to Hazzard" is the real one. Hey Julie, I'm not sure what season Mrs Snodgrass was mentioned but it's early (first or second) and she is called Widow Snodgrass. Here's one: Frontage Road or Sassafrass Street
  23. Right Redneck Woman, it's Mr Winkle. Darcy and Amos are pilots. (although Joe Ward bought Darcy's plane in "High Flying' Dukes") Here's another question. What was the name of the episode where Daisy was hypnotized to think she was Vivian Stewart?
  24. Happy Birthday Rosco, I'm heading to the Boar's Nest for a buttermilk to celebrate. I'm gone.
  25. Another post that put a big smile on my face..... I guess that your quote at the bottom of your posts sums it all up. That's my all-time favorite quote from the show in the entire 7 seasons. Keep up the good attitude!! Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
