    So how do you define an episode? The DVD set lists Carnival of Thrills as one episode but I think it should count as two. Does anybody know if the DVDs agree with what Warner Brother's definition of an episode is?

    One of my all time favorite scenes is from part 2 of "Carnival of Thrills" when Daisy is driving Dixie while Luke and Jesse are passengers. Luke is so mad at Bo that he makes the comment that Bo doesn't deserve to be called a Duke. Jesse makes Daisy stop the Jeep and yells at Luke then puts up his fists and dances around like Mohommad Ali. I could watch that scene a zillion times and never stop smiling.

    From "Enos Strate to the Top" when Flash was first came to Hazzard. Rosco was showing Enos how smart Flash was. Rosco commanded "Ten Hut!!" Flash just laid there. Rosco then said "At ease!" Flash didn't move. Enos stated "That's pretty good Sheriff, he's got half that down already"

    Okay, these aren't real random but these are 10 things I have in common with the Duke family. 1) Reverence for the Almighty 2) Family comes next 3) live on a dirt road in the sticks 4) love the outdoors and hard work 5) like hunting and fishing 6) don't like modern stuff (except Hazzardnet and DOH DVDs) 7) like country music (escepially Dukes-era stars) 8) like to help people 9) I believe good 'ole boys always finish first 10) I'm a country boy that can survive (great song Hank Jr.) Oh yea, one more thing, one of my relatives was quoted on the Dukes!! In "Robot P. Coltrane" Bo used that famous line from "Gone with the Wind"..."Frankly my dear, I don't give a (bleep)" I'm not real crazy about Clark Gable being remembered as the first person to use profanity in a movie but I am real crazy about Bo quoting my kin!!!! It makes me feel personally connected to the show. (even though that wasn't a very good episode) Incidently, Clark Gable's mother is buried near me in northwestern Pennsylvania.

    Sorry DaisyMae, those were tough. You got Ernie right but Hamiltonville and Dry River Creek were the real ones. Don't ask me why a stream has both "River" and "Creek" in the name (especially if it's dry)..blame the writers. Here's some easier ones. Which were on the show?     Hi BigMark, I'm embarressed and happy at the same time. I'm embaressed that I can't think of what UMGD is...but happy that we have a new citizen of Hazzard County. It's fun here...we hope you stay awhile. Congratulations on that dream job. My dream job is plowing the back 40. Gotta go..."Maudeen!!!!...now where'd that mule run off to?" I'm gone.

    Lori is the only one who got it exactly right. "Return of the Ridge Raiders" is from season 2. I believe there is a Ridge Runner's Association though. Isn't that what Jesse and Boss talk about when they spit in their palms and shake? I'm pretty sure that's what it's called in "Days of Shine and Roses" and other such episodes. I suspect it's two seperate organizations because Boss is in the Association but not the Raiders. Speaking of "Return of the Ridge Raiders", what is the occupation of Charlie Cooper in that episode?

    Well, I hate to admit it but the older I get (I'm 47) the less often a cool car will turn my head. If I see a 4 wheel drive that is plastered in mud then I'll stare it down and smile. Street/trail (dual sport) motorcycles make me do the same. This may sound weird to some folks but we have an annual fair parade in my hometown and it usually has quite a few cars in it. Whenever you see an antique car, it is always immaculately restored to the finest detail of course. However this guy used to drive his old Beverly Hillbilly looking antique vehicle in the parade and it was always my favorite. Instead of seeing a car from the 1920's as it looked new, I think it looks much cooler as it looked after it had been beaten up for 20 years. Don't get me wrong, the General would turn my head but Jed Clampett's vehicle would really make my neck twist. I'm such a hillbilly....and proud of it. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

    I wonder if anyone can relate to this. At the end of each episode when the General is going in circles around the trees and the law is in hot pursuit while the credits are running, I actually get sad. I think it comes from the old days when that meant that you had to wait a whole week to see the next episode. (I remember when I was younger feeling the same way about Saturday morning cartoons). Anyway, those feeling are still there today even though I can watch any episode any time I want. For some reason, it still chokes me up to see the show is over. Oh no, I'm getting depressed now just thinking about that closing scene. I guess it's nothing that the next episode won't cure. Clear the path to the DVD player, here I come.

    Hey Lori, I was thinking of you the other night because I was watching R.I.P. Henry Flatt (what little I can see of it...my DVD is defective) and at the end Jesse says "What fer?"....then Rosco mockingly says "that's what fer". I cracked up. Things like that is what I watch Dukes fer.

    Right B.L. I love the part in that episode where Jesse faints when he hears the real estate developer offer them a quarter million. What organization are Henstep McCullum, Amos Petersdorf and Fritz Dooly involved in?

    Hi Laura, Welcome. We sure hope you stay here a long time. If you love Dukes like we do, you will immediately feel like one of the family here.
