Speaking of "The Bandit", in "R.I.P. Henry Flatt", when they show the movie theater, the sign over it said that "The Bandit" was playing.

When it comes to "Dukes of Hazzard" there is no useless trivia. It's all important to us. As Rosco would say, "I love it. I love it. I love it." I'm gone.

At first I thought of "My Town" by Montgomery Gentry then I realized you wrote "Our Town". Nevertheless, the Montgomery Gentry song does remind me a lot of Hazzard. I'm gone.

I agree with you about Coy and Vance. At least the quality of writing didn't suffer when Bo and Luke were gone and (of course) the other main characters were always perfect at their job no matter which Duke boys were riding in the General. I'm also a big Enos fan. In fact he was my favorite character the whole time the show was out. Now that I'm a little older (47) I've switched to Uncle Jesse as my favorite. Coincidently, I'm also in season 3 I just watched "Good Neighbors Duke" tonight. I'm making a map of Hazzard County. Go to "Hobbies" if you're interested in getting an idea of what it will be like. Welcome to the Hazzardnet FLDukefan. The folks here sure are full of that southern hospitality that you're probably accustomed to (even though some of us are only southern at heart). I agree completely about those replacement sheriffs. I just can't imagine Hazzard County without Rosco Pervus Coltrane. Not having Rosco there makes about as much sense as a farm without dirt. Here's something interesting about Boss. I paused the part in "Baa Baa White Sheep" in which the Sheriff of Finchburg briefly held onto Abraham Lincoln Hogg's drivers license. For date of birth it read April 6, 1926. Since he is Boss's twin this means Boss was only about 54 at that time. Since Boss is supposed to be about the same age as Jesse, this appears to be a blooper since Jesse (and Boss) are clearly much older than 54. Also, Abraham's residency on the license is Hazzard and since he hadn't lived there in decades, that seemed inaccurate. I'm sure the writers didn't put much thought into it at the time because they weren't considering pause buttons. I'm gone.

After loooking at "Episodes", I found a post by EnosFan (from 3-8-07) that said that "Uncle Boss" was filmed in season 2 but aired in season 3. That clears things up. Thanks a lot EnosFan. I'm gone.

Speaking of which, change can be extra confusing in Hazzard. The "Furniture Mart" turned into Seth M Berley & Company in season 3 and later in season 3 (Uncle Boss) it turned back into the Furniture Mart. "Uncle Boss" is also one of the episodes in which Daisy's yellow car returns after being destroyed in season 2. Well, old Waylon said it many times...anything can happen in Hazzard. I see that Hank Jr's 25th anniversary of "Country Boy Can Survive" has hit number one in CMT's videos this week. That song and "What the world needs is a few more rednecks" by The Charlies Daniels Band remind me a lot of them Duke boys. What other songs make you think of them?

I'm 47 and live in the woods of northwestern Pennsylvania about a mile from where I grew up. I'm a real redneck just like the Dukes but I don't jump things in my car although occasionally I do on my Yamaha dirt bike. I don't chase girls like them Duke boys either....I'm very happily married.

And here's another thing that's great about Hazzard County. Where else can you mention pigs being happy in 3 day old slop and have it come out as a compliment. I tell you what...them there folks on shows like Beverly Hills 90210 and Desperate Housewives just don't know how to live. I really feel sorry for them people. Sure, in Hazzard we have just as many problems as anybody else. But they ain't nothing that can't be fixed by jumping over a creek or talking to Uncle Jesse or calling Cooter's towtruck.

Wow, I thought Luke was supposed to be the smart one that did all the thinking but Bo, you put so much thought into that, it made my head spin. After it stopped spinning I smiled a lot. It's nice to know that there's people out there like you. Someday, them there fancy dancy city slicker folks out there in Hollywood will realize that the world wants to return to the fun simple life of Hazzard County. When they do, hopefully they'll plug into the Hazzardnet and read your post Bo. If they follow those instructions they'll have another hit on their hands. I can't vote in this because I can't decide. If they're Dukes they're all okay by me. Of course my favorite is the old-time ridge runner pictured in my avatar. I'd vote for him for president.

Not only is he a much better jumper but the General also has personality. In addition, he is the most recognized car in the history of the world.

Hi Eleonora, Welcome to the Hazzardnet. I haven't been here that long myself but for people like us who really love the Dukes this is the place to be. The people here really make Hazzard come alive. You are right. I should have worded it "other counties and towns" so you could tell I intend to distinguish it on my map. It is very difficult to tell if a town is in Hazzard County or not if the show doesn't specify that it is. If the town is large I figure it's not in Hazzard County. That's just one of the problems I have to deal with. I'm sure if all Dukes fans made a map, they'd all look a lot different. I see in season 3 some businesses are in different locations in town and some have left completely and turned into other things. I guess in that case, I have to go with the most current version and conclude that there is change everywhere....even in Hazzard.

My thinking was that the General is a 1969 and Carnival of Thrills is from 1980 which is 11 years later. You are right though in the respect that he wasn't known as "The General" until the Dukes and Cooter rebuilt him. In regards to the odometer going back to zero with the engine being rebuilt, I'm not sure that's correct but maybe a mechanic (hopefully Cooter is home on this Hazzardnet) can settle it. I'm not going to bet you though. I already lost one buttermilk to you in a bet I lost. I don't want to loose another one. Possum on a gumbush, I'm gone.

On season two, disc 4 all my episodes but one are messed up. Each episode works for part of the show but not all.

I just noticed on the General Lee's odometer in Carnival of Thrills (part 2) it said 32047 miles. Coincidently the General's license plate starts with 320 and they were practicing for a 32 car jump. Anyhow, has anybody else ever noticed any other odometer readings in any other episodes? 32,000 isn't many miles for a car that was 11 years old at that time...unless the odometer had turned over. Since we don't know alot about the General before the episode "Happy Birthday General Lee" I wonder if anybody would care to speculate if it's 32,000 or 132,000. I'm gone.

I think I would rather be a fantasy character than one that's really been on the show. I'd like to be Uncle Jesse's younger cousin who owns a farm on a road that runs parallel to Mill Pond Road. The back of my farmland borders the back 40 of the Dukes farm and I have trails that connect our two places so I can ride my Yamaha dirt bike between the two homes. (The bike would be just like the one that Sonny Shroyer had in "Devil and Max Devlin" with Bill Cosby). I'd spend a lot of time with Jesse helping on the farm and listening to all the wise advice he has to offer. Once in awhile we'd run over to Hazzard Swamp and catch us some crawdads so he could make up a batch of that crawdad bisque. Who knows, maybe even Rosco and Enos will get a whiff of that while chasing the General (and Dixie) around and they'll call a temporary truce so we can all sit a spell. Mmmm. Life in Hazzard County is good.

After watching the first two seasons I have recorded this many items in my quest to put together the ultimate map of Hazzard County Residents-62 (Homes and not individuals) Businesses-54 Roads-49 Landmarks-14 (Canyons, mountains, mines, etc) Water-22 (Swamps, creeks, ponds, lakes etc) Other Counties-20 (Includes other towns too) 5 more seasons to go !!!!
