I know what you mean Daisy. We should all take time to listen to the stories that elderly people have to tell (hear that Daisy?....you better start listening to me better) Seriousely, they deserve our respect and sometimes their stories are nothing short of amazing. I wish I would have taken time to listen to my grandad's old war stories. I'd give anything if he was still alive to tell me one now.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EPISODE
RogerDuke replied to Canadian_Country_Cousin's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Episodes
I'm with you daisydukeXenosstrait. I LOVE them Georgia episodes!! I only wish all 7 seasons could have been filmed with that beautiful scenery. I guess I should be thankful we had 5 episodes filmed there. It could have been worse. They could have started out right away in California. I still would have loved the show just as much but it's so much easier to fantasize about living in Hazzard County when the scenery reminds me of where I live (with lots of trees) -

DoubleX and B.L. both got that one right. DoubleX has 43 in a row correct. From "Opening Night at the Boar's Nest" there are 5 members of "The Duke Family Singers". Who is the only member whose last name isn't Duke?- 3,832 replies

Since I know there's a few Confederate War historians here on the Hazzardnet I thought I'd share this story that I ran across in the Erie (PA) Times-News earlier this week. Most of us look at the Civil War as ancient history, but this story made me realize it's not that ancient after all. When I saw the obituary of Maudie White Hopkins and it was sub-titled "Was Widow of Confederate soldier" I thought for sure that it was a misprint. I was wrong. The story is out of Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Hopkins died a few days ago at the age of 93. When she was young she began taking care of William Cantrell. He offered to give her his land and home if she would marry him and take care of him. They married when she was 19 and he was 86. Incredible!!

Another what episode is this question ;-)

Oh come on Bo, now stop being modest. Remember now, you're representing Bo Duke....the guy who said (after being teased about his big ego) "I've been working on it for years" (...from "One Armed Bandits") -
The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread
RogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia
You're welcome Alex. I hope those fireworks didn't wake anybody up in your neighborhood. Hey DoubleX, my computer's pretty slow and old so I'm not going to take the time to double check your streak number. I can't remember you missing one in a long time so I'll take your word for it. I don't think anyone will doubt you but if they do, they're more than welcome to double check the old posts and get back with me if they believe there's a problem. So, Alex has 100 in a row correct and DoubleX has 42. B.L. might have a streak too but maybe we can get that figured out later. In the meantime, you folks have more work to do. I have a whole bunch of trivia questions here just waiting to be answered (hopefully correctly). What was Boss's first wish in "When You Wish Upon a Hogg"? A) a lobster dinner one million dollars C) peace on Earth D) Bo and Luke in jail E) one million more wishes- 3,832 replies

*FIREWORKS EXPLODE* *THE CROWD GOES WILD* Alex Jackson has correctly answered 100 trivia questions in a row!! To say that everone is impressed would be way too much of an understatement so I think I speak for everyone when I simply say "WOW!!!" Congratulations Alex!!! You're awesome. *MORE FIREWORKS* *GRAND FINALE*- 3,832 replies

Well I have two problems here. First of all some of these streak numbers aren't adding up. It will take me awhile to figure them all out. I'll post something about that later. Second, Frog Lake Pond was on "Hack of Hazzard". I made up Snapping Turtle Marsh. The only body of water ever named after a turtle was Turtle Creek from "The Fugitive". Sorry.

Another what episode is this question ;-)
RogerDuke replied to Darkrin's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Episodes
It looks like Darkrin is getting really close to finding the answer to this problem. I really like this thread. Any problem that can be solved by watching episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard is my kind of problem. Sorry to put so much pressure on you by having that much faith in your knowledge Bo. It's not my fault though....it's yours for being so intelligent. Your reputation is justly deserved. -
Detroit (hey Daisy, what are penny loafers? It seems like I remember my grandparents mentioning them)

The Secret Life Of An American Teenager
RogerDuke replied to LoriDavenport's topic in John Schneider / Bo Duke
Bo, your quote "a week is too long to wait" made me chuckle. I remember how sad I was every Friday night at 8:59 when they were running the closing credits of Dukes. Back then we didn't even have VCRs or anything so all we could do is look at pictures of the Dukes or play with Dukes toys or listen to a Waylon 8-track if we wanted to feel close to Hazzard County. I don't know how I ever survived without my DVDs!!!
