  1. Very nice dukefan. You show know your Dukes. I'm impressed. You are definitely a great addition to the HazzardNet.
  2. China
  3. You're both right. Daisy has 247 in a row correct (and 305 out of 306) Which of these were on the show? J.D.Hogg Wrecking Company or Hogg Recycling Inc. Sheriff Warren Moon or Boss A.C. Tate Jr. (episode names) Burning Bridges or Money to Burn
  4. This thread is to compile a list of real things that the actors used and put on the show and made them into Hazzard County things. 1)For example, in his book "Redneck Boy in the Promised Land" Ben Jones mentioned (page 33 and 65) that him and his Uncle worked for a mechanic named Stump Rountree when he was a young man living in Virginia. Stump Rountree was an unseen character that was mentioned on the episode "The Canterbury Crock" 2) Hard Labor Creek (page 154 of the same book) was mentioned in "Dukescam Scam" 3) Rosey Walker (page 232) is from "Enos and Daisy's Wedding" 4) Peach Tree Road (page 177) is from "Heiress Daisy Duke" 5) Jim Bronke was an attorney whose named appeared numerous times on the sign in front of the courthouse. It first appeared on "The Big Heist". In reality, Mr. Bronke was a friend of someone who worked on the show (a stage manager I think) 6) Enos's Uncle Odie (unseen on the show but mentioned by Enos on "Enos in Trouble") was really Sonny Shroyer's way of mentioning his real-life father, Odie Shroyer Can anybody else think of any more? I bet there's a lot.
  5. shopping
  6. Hey daisyxenos, you wouldn't be breaking your resolution if you bought your Dad a birthday present or even if you bought yourself one. Don't make your resolution too unrealisticly difficult.
  7. Your dad sounds like a man full of some good old-fashioned Hazzard County integrity. This world needs more men like him.
  8. Am I correct that California used 2 different houses or were there more than that? I can't remember which season they "moved" into the "new" house.
  9. Hey dukefan, I don't mean to brag (okay so maybe I like to brag just a little on a rare occasion) but my 2 trivia threads now have 65,000 views. However, with this thread, you have just started something that will be even more popular than that! What a great idea!!!! I agree with everybody else about the answer.
  10. Of course nobody likes the cheap mini model cars jumping....but look at it this way. The show was in danger of going off the air and I would guess didn't have much money to work with. It would have been much worse if they would have ended it after 6 seasons and not had the seventh. I'd rather have a season 7 with bad stunts than no season 7 at all.
  11. I don't know much about the show cars but I did learn something about how they got the cars they crashed. Go up to my post on "69 Charger for Sale?" on the General Discussion board for more info.
  12. I remember I was at a school bus garage near Buffalo New York back in the early 80's. A guy who worked there had a black 1969 Charger in the parking lot (and he owned 2 more) so I struck up a conversation with him. He said he liked the Dukes of Hazzard but he wasn't a big fan. He wasn't happy that the number of cars they used on the show was driving up the price of used parts because the show was buying up cars all over the country. I told him I couldn't believe that they were buying up cars from this part of the country, after all, we were a long way from Hollywood. To my surprise, he pulled out the local newspaper, opened the classifieds and proved it!!!
  13. You're right about that Julie. That junk wouldn't be appropriate for an 11 year old. In fact, it ain't appropriate for anybody.
  14. dukefan, I'm about the same distance from Cleveland, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. They are all on Eastern Standard Time along with the rest of the eastern United States. I think HazzardNet's time goes by the time of the International Date Line. If not, it's Greenwich Mean Time or something like that. On second thought, it couldn't be GMT because it wouldn't be 8 hours off from me. Oh well, I'm sure somebody will set us straight.
  15. This is probably a little tougher of a question but does anybody know if any buildings from the show in southern California are still standing?
  16. Swamp Molly lives in the Hazzard Swamp with cousin.....(answer is a girl's first name)
  17. recycle
  18. garbage
  19. Woops, I didn't even think about that. It's no big deal if we don't get a chance to talk. Since you're in the HazzardNet for the long haul, I'm sure we'll have plenty of chances. What time are you compared to Eastern Standard Time?
  20. Hey dukefan have you ever been in the chat room? If you're interested we should set up a time. How about Thursday night or Friday night around 9:30 or 10? Feel free to invite other people. If not, we'll get together some other time.

  21. You're right Kay, I can think of better plot ideas than "Strange Visitor to Hazzard" Let me try to be positive here and word it like this. Instead of saying it's my least favorite episode I will say that it is at the bottom of my favorite episode list. There were a lot of good episodes in season 7 though. My 3 favorites are Happy Birthday General Lee Welcome Waylon Jennings Go West, Young Dukes
  22. pollution (Okay, what's going on with this word association? I guess I have to respond to my own to get it rolling again since it's been 2 days LOL)
  23. I know the answer to yours Daisy but I'm going to let someone else try since I just answered one. If nobody has answered correctly in 24 hours I'll answer. This is fun. Hopefully dukefan1 has started a domino effect and a lot more people will start posting questions.
  24. I was pretty sad to see how different the Boar's Nest looked when Ben Jones and Sonny Shroyer visited it on the special features on one of the series DVDs (I'm not sure which season that was, does anybody know?) Well, I guess it could be worse. Imagine how terrible it would have been if it would have been torn down to build a housing development or something like that. I'm wondering if Dukes tourists go to church services there just for the opportunity to step inside the building.
  25. This is what the HazzardNet's all about *big smile on face*
