If it didn't hurt so much to know that Sorrell was dead and Denver didn't look healthy and Waylon's voice wasn't there, I really would have liked the first reunion movie. I tried real hard to like it but those three things just got in the way. I can't be critical of other people who like it because it really was good but I guess I'm just not the kind of person who can handle that kind of change. I wish they wouldn't have had Denver in it. They could have said that him and Boss were at an old moonshiners convention in Atlanta. Another thing I didn't like is that Jesse was living alone in his condition and none of the 3 younger Dukes said at the end that they were moving back to the farm to help him (even though he would have refused) But I'm sure Denver loved doing that reunion show as much as he loved doing the series so I can find peace knowing he was happy with his final acting job.

This might not qualify since it wasn't on the original 7 year series. I'm not a real big fan of the reunion movie and one of the reasons why is the scene where Rosco did a tribute to Boss. That was one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life. I am seriously getting emotional right now just thinking about it. I'll never watch that reunion movie again. To me, Boss is still alive and Jesse is still as strong and healthy as an ox. In my mind Hazzard County and the people who live there are real and I won't accept anything less.

It's hard to say but I think that post was just a hoax. I didn't even understand that comment about the sheriff. Did anybody else? Remember, it's the internet. Even though most HazzardNet folks are honest, there's still bound to be a prankster or too passing through Hazzard County pretending to be someone they're not. Well, I have to go now, Mondays are the nights I usually spend polishing my Mr. Olympia trophy. Now, where'd I leave it? Oh yea, it's in the front seat of my Lamborguini. I know what you mean dukefan. I put off going to see it on the big screen but gave in after a few weeks before they pulled it out of the theaters. I'm not sure why I went. I knew I wouldn't like it but curiousity got the best of me. I guess you can compare it to driving up to the scene of a bad car accident while they're putting the victims into the ambulance. You don't want to look because you know it's a horrible ugly tragedy but you just can't help peeking.

Something just dawned on me as I read those last two posts. When they were putting the show together I wonder if the creators ever considered having Jesse be married. I wonder why they decided not to. Well, maybe it was just the way of thinking of that era. Even when Smurfs came out a few years later (don't chuckle, I'm being serious here) they only had one girl out of 99 in the village. I bet they got complaints because they added two girl Smurfs later (Sassette and Grannie Smurf). Am I getting off the subject or what?...LOL..... Of course Papa Smurf is my favorite because he looks and acts the most like Uncle Jesse!!

You both have been such a great addition to this website. I know what you mean about the show's influence. Not counting faith and family, the Dukes of Hazzard has been the single most influential thing in my life. I know that's a pretty strong statement, but it's true. Not very many people can understand that but everybody here can. That's why I love the HazzardNet so much.
