The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread
RogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia
I'll leave that last question up a couple more days to see if anybody answers it later. In the meantime, what holiday (unique to Hazzard) is celebrated on April 1?- 3,832 replies

Which ones are the correct episode names? The Return of Hughie Hogg OR Hughie Hogg Returns Cool Hands Luke & Bo OR Cool Hands Bo & Luke Coy's Lady OR Vance's Lady

Welcome to Hazzard County Red. I see you must be old like me if you watched the show when it was originally on. Well, there's two kind of folks we really like on this website. We like old-timers who were fans of the show when it was still being filmed. And we like the younger folks who became fans by watching reruns and DVDs. I guess that means we like all Dukes fans. As a matter of fact, we even like folks who aren't Dukes fans. We just don't understand them.

Hey Tim, I'm curious. Where did you find out about Nov 7? It wasn't Cooter's book was it?
-
Hi Steve, Welcome to the Hazzardnet. That's a tough question. I'm not surprised that nobody has responded. I have a complete list of everybody who lives in Hazzard County (or, at least the citizens who were mentioned by name) so I'd be able to help if that was her Hazzard name but since that's her real name, I can't help. Why don't you just have your friend ask her?
-
I agree Tim. I was surprised about the lack of responses too since 30 years is a pretty big milestone. There's one thing I've noticed about the Hazzardnet....things kinda go in spurts. For a few weeks people are posting stuff like crazy and then things slow down for awhile and then the cycle continues. Things seem to be a little slow the last several days but I'm sure they'll pick up soon...they always do.

I'm impressed B.L. That was a tough one (between the first 3 choices) Speaking of singing, what celebrity sang "Stay a Little Longer" on the Dukes?- 3,832 replies

Awesome TomBo!!!!!! YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You certainly have nothing to be ashamed of B.L. There's not a whole lot of people who could get 70 in a row. I doubt that I could if I was answering. Speaking of which, I would love it if someone else would post a couple. *pleading* Come on somebody, I want to answer (not ask)....just once (or more if anyone's interested in posting them)
-
Thanks for sharing that with us Tim. Even though I'm a northerner, I was in that part of the country on that day. I was going through Marine Corps boot camp in South Carolina at the time. Unfortunately, I didn't see the General Lee running around anywhere. Come to think of it, where I was at (3rd Battalion) I didn't see a whole lot of any kind of cars.
-
Well B.L., this is the part of the game that I hate....where I have to tell someone that their impressive streak has ended. In your case, that impressive streak was answering 70 Duke or Dupes in a row correctly. Rimfire Lane is from "Diamonds in the Rough". The word "quicksand" was never used in any road, landmark, or body of water in Hazzard County. In the meantime, Daisy has answered 210 in a row correctly (and 268 out of 269)

Christmas comes earlier every year....
RogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Hazzard County Christmas
I suppose a lot of you folks don't like the fact that Christmas commercials are already on but I'm an exception. I actually like it. I'd like to hear other opinions on this.... -

Thanks for telling us about this DaisyMae. Hey daisydukexenosstrait, it's refreshing to know that there's still parents out there like your dad. As a dad (and also grandpa) myself, I have a lot of respect for men who are smart enough to raise kids with high moral values. That's why Uncle Jesse is my hero.

You're right B.L. It was never shown. Min, I remember them mentioning a root cellar too but I don't know which episode. To answer your question, I think a root cellar can be the same thing as a basement but I would guess that it would be lacking a concrete floor or other such luxuries. The temperature in a root cellar is more constant (and cool) so people used to store their roots there that they used for food and medicinal purposes. There probably were folks who had root cellars seperate from their house. The used to have "spring houses" too. That was a place near cool water that they built a small shed around (the better insulated ones were stone and not wood). The spring water would keep their food cool so it was like a primitive refrigerator.- 3,832 replies

Well General, It was my first car. I took over payments ($99/month) from my brother when he went into the Marines and I was still in high school. I owned it for 11 years from 1977 to 1988 and thought about restoring it someday but finally accepted the fact that it would have just been too costly and so I sold it for parts. Besides, it was a 1975 and they don't have much value as classics like the 1964-1973 Mustangs do. Well, I have a lot of pictures and countless memories of that old blue car so that will have to do. Someday I might try to buy one that is as close to my old car as I can find. As you know General I don't have computer skills but if you have the ability to look up an old song called "Old Yellow Car" you'll probably really enjoy it. It's about getting attatched to a car so you can probably relate to it. I have it on the tip of my tongue who sang it but can't quite spit it out.

Julie, this is so tempting. I was hoping that nobody would mention the election on the Hazzardnet. I have very strong political feelings but I'm going to avoid posting them....it's tempting though. I vote that we keep politics off the Hazzardnet. It causes too many problems.

B.L. and Daisy got all 3 right. Daisy has 204 in a row correct (and 262 out of 263) B.L. has 66 in a row right. Which of these were on the show? Cross Creek Road or Cross Country Cafe Easy Living River or Swift Creek (episode names) Route 11-7 or Route 7-11

Well General, to quote that famous philosopher Waylon Jennings..... "I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane" LOL By the way, I know what you mean about getting attached to a vehicle *sighs* I really do miss my Mustang *tears up*
