  1. Hi Daisy. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas. I rejoined the Hazzard Christmas party at 11:00 Monday night but you were gone by then *frowns* I stayed on until 1:00 *yawns*

  2. Thanks for that info Amanda. I wish I could remember who sang that song. I think it's from the early 80s. B.L. and Daisy got all 3 right. Daisy has 239 in a row correct (and 297 out of 298) WOW!! The answers to these 3 can also be found on "The Great Santa Claus Chase" Which of these were on that episode? Possum Pass or Bear's Hollow Honest Abe's Log Cabin Sales or Hogg's Mobile Home Sales Harper Valley or Hopson's Creek
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if Denver was more like a grandfather than an uncle to John. After all, I was born the same week as John and my grandmother was only a year older than Denver. Of course I suppose it would depend on if John's real-life parents were older or younger when they had him. If they were younger then Denver would have definitely been a grandfather-figure to him. Thanks for that nice post Garrett. I'm sure Denver is having a Christmas party in Hazzard Heaven today!!!
  4. Merry Christmas everybody. Did anybody get any Dukes related items? I got Cooter's book, "Redneck Boy in the Promised Land" I can't wait to start on it. YEEEHAAWWW!!!!
  5. I just got done watching the first episode of Dallas. It sure brings back a lot of memories. I know I never would have gotten into Dallas if it weren't for it being on right after Dukes. When I was 19 (1979), I always used to go to my grandparents just down the road and watch Dukes on Friday night. My parents only got one channel (NBC) but my grandparents had a little more money and could afford a good antenna so they got CBS and ABC too. Good thing. Otherwise, I never would have seen Dukes.
  6. It seems as if this thread has hit a dead end. Maybe it's because not everybody knows who this is. He's the author of "Lord of the Rings". So let me get this thing going again by responding to my own response. The next word is: Wizard
  7. Daisy and B.L. got my question right. It was the Yellow Pine Construction Company. I don't have the courage to tell Meadowmuffin she missed it. Could somebody else give her the bad news? *chuckles*
  8. Wow Min, those are pretty tough questions. I'll probably miss all 8 of them but I'll try anyways. 1) PR5392 2) Central City 3) country fried spaghetti 4) 4:30 pm 5) NO....Boss and a customer were smoking and Daisy was cleaning ashtrays 6) Colonel Jackson 7) Luke. They were both dressed like Santa but you could see his sleeves 8) Cooter-Dancer Luke-Blitzen Bo-Rudolph the Red-Nosed Duke
  9. Thanks so much for the Christmas parties. I had a blast. Make sure you check out the latest trivia question

  10. Right Bo. Also from "The Great Santa Claus Chase"... Bo, Luke and Cooter delivered Christmas trees, dressed as Santa and driving identical pick-up trucks. What business were those three trucks borrowed from? A) Rhuebottom's General Store Meadow Muffin Bakery C) Yellow Pine Construction Company D) Hogg's Coffin Works
  11. J.R.R. Tolkien
  12. I bet it won't be as fun as HazzardNet's party. You should just invite all them folks to ours instead.

  13. Yea, I sure hope I make it on time. There's a slight possibility I might be a little late but hopefully not. I'm sure curious about what it is exactly. Do you know? Wait, if you do, don't say it. I want it to be a surprise. I bet Brian's been working on some fancy techno stuff again. I hope he doesn't cause any of my fuses to blow. I'm still trying to explain to my insurance company how his Fourth of July fireworks set the curtains on fire by my computer.
  14. I might be a little late for the first one but hopefully not.

  15. Yep Alex, We're having two. One is Sunday (Dec 21) at 8 pm EST. The next one is the same time Monday night. They're both BYOEN affairs (bring your own egg nog)
  16. B.L., Alex and Daisy all got it right. Alex, you now have an unbelievable 125 in a row correct!!! WOW!!!!! This one's a little tougher. It's also from "The Great Santa Claus Chase", although I'm sure the answer could be found in other episodes as well. What's the license plate of Boss's white Cadillac convertable? A) Big Boss Boss-1 C) Hazzard-1 D) Boss JDH E) Boss Hogg-1
  17. book
  18. For anybody who hasn't been following the Christmas threads, our Christmas parties are Sunday and Monday nights. Both of them will start at 8pm EST in the chat room.
  19. Sounds good. Here's the ground rules. They are open discussion (for now) so I'd like to know who doesn't agree with what. My guess is that numbers 5 and 6 will be the only controversial ones. 1) It's the honor system. We're going to trust you to tell us if you break your resolution. 2) No prizes will be given. This is just for pride and us Hazzard folks have a lot of that. 3) The winner (or winners) will be whoever keeps their resolution. Or, whoever goes the longest before breaking it. 4) STRICT deadline to enter is 12:01 AM Jan 1, 2009 (EST) 5) You can only submit one resolution. 6) You do not have to reveal what it is but it won't be nearly as fun if you don't. 7) Be reasonable and honest. You know what your limitations are. Don't make it to easy or too hard for you to keep. Be somewhere in the middle. 8) If you go months without posting anything you are still eligible to win as long as you post an update in December 2009. You will be disqualified if you've lost interest (after all, we won't know if you broke your resolution or not) 9) Remember, this is a family site. No resolutions rated worse than PG-13. 10) Unless overruled by a moderator, I'll have the final say so in any controversy.
  20. Okay, We'll have two parties then. Sunday night at 8 pm EST Monday night at 8 pm EST See ya there!!!!!
  21. B.L. and Daisy both got it right. What was Cooter dressed as at the beginning of "THe Great Santa Claus Chase"? A) Boy Scout Santa Claus C) elf D) Elvis E) sheriff's deputy with Santa beard
  22. fight
  23. Congratulations Alex !!!!!!! Even though I didn't win, I'd like to thank Meadowmuffin for having this contest. Of course I'd thank her even louder if I'd have won *grumbles*
