  1. I went through Ben's book (Redneck Boy in the Promised Land) in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. What a fascinating life he's had.

  2. Wow dukefan, that's one of the most powerful things I've read since I've been here on the HazzardNet. This place really does remind me a lot of Hazzard County because (like you said) it feels like family here. I've written a lot of emotional posts on how much I appreciate the HazzardNet and why.......and I won't take this moment to repeat a lot of those thoughts but I do want to say, from the bottom of my heart, you're a resident of Hazzard County now and we're here for you buddy. We really do care about everybody here and I'm happy you're doing better. Your post was the highlight of my day. I sincerely mean that.
  3. Am I the only one who is still singing Christmas songs in his head? I just love Christmas so much. It takes me a month or more to get those great songs off my mind......especially Elvis.
  4. Hey dukefan, Why don't you start a resolution contest seperate from ours. You could set the groundrules and begin it on Feb 1 (or whenever you want to) If you CAN'T find enough interested people to join you could always ask the folks in this contest if they want to make another resolution. You could call it the "Late Resolution Contest"....or whatever. Use your imagination.
  5. I don't know about the rest of you but so far I like the idea of this thread. It's still too early to tell but I know that making a resolution a public thing has made me much more conscience of my goals and I think will help me by adding a fun competitive spin to it. So far, so good.
  6. You don't have to check in on a regular basis unless you want to because you feel as if it will encourage you to keep your resolution. In that case, it would be a good idea to keep posting updates so we can give you support. I'm sure if you break it, you'll let us know.
  7. Sorry. I'm leaving but I'll be back later tonight. Hey, I see Bo's doing trivia the next 3 Saturday's. Is she doing it after Min's just like last time?

  8. Which of these were on the show? Amos Butterfield or Clyde Amos Niedeckers Restaurant or Niedeckers Egg Farm (episode names) 10 Million Dollar Sheriff or 10 Million Dollar Deputy
  9. You're a smart one Garrett. I almost tricked you into losing. LOL Sorry dukefan. I wish I could but a feller has to draw the line somewhere. Don't worry daisyxenos, I'm sure you didn't mean neccessities when you made your resolution.
  10. I'm right on the Ohio line in Pennsylvania near Lake Erie
  11. Thanks Bo. You have my word that I won't cheat. I appreciate this.

  12. Hey Brian, she did something worth watching last night. She whipped everybody's butt in Dukes trivia. It wasn't even close. Nice job MM (has anybody noticed I always do some butt kissing after teasing our Supreme Superior Commander?)
  13. It's nice to have you back. There's just something about Hazzard County that keeps folks like us coming back for more.
  14. Wow Brian if I could have that job I'd give up my current occupation of supervising Meadowmuffin
  15. factory
  16. I didn't know Waylon owned a General. Do you know if it got sold or do Jessi or Shooter still have it?
  17. I supervise the people who test software for airplanes. (I'd better tell you I'm kidding or Meadowmuffin will kill me)
  18. industry
  19. That kid-rock song brings back bad memories of the Dukes movie. "We were smoking funny things" It just reminds me of a pot smoking Willie Nelson trying in vain to pretend he's Jesse Duke. If you want to mimick something good, do it right. We didn't see Charlton Heston smoking weed when he played Moses.
  20. It's nice to have a resident of Hazard on the HazzardNet. (Even though she keeps forgetting that Z)
  21. I'm a fan of dukefan. Great post buddy. I loved every word of it.
  22. Pennsylvania
  23. Hi Bo, I'm sorry I couldn't stay last night for your trivia contest. I really wanted to but I worked all day and barely made it home in time for the 8:00 contest. I really wanted a little family time before the end of the day. Any chance you can rerun it for those of us who couldn't participate? Pretty please? *bats eyelashes*

  24. Thanks so much for the first trivia night Min. I'm sure it was a lot of work putting it together and making it work as well as you did. It was a blast!!
