I didn't know that Charles could pass it up and let it go to one of his sons. It sounds like a good idea since I suspect they are more popular than him. Hoss, would you like to see him pass the throne to a son? Would he have the choice of which one? That's pretty awesome that you got to meet him. Did you have to wait in line long?

I'm just smiling from ear to ear to "see" you around MM. In fact my smile is probably as big as Enos's right now. The biggest thing I would like to see is updates on the stars and their lives. Thanks for the tip about Daisy's upcoming appearance. Folks around here are usually pretty good about posting when things happen like Big Ed Little passing on but I imagine they miss things occasionally.

I remember when I was a young man I used to think that it was silly to still have royalty in England but now that I'm older I have done a complete reversal of opinion. I admire folks in the UK for keeping the tradition alive. It's funny how your opinions evolve in a lifetime. I understand there are still folks over there who think royalty should be done away with but they are in the minority.....am I correct in assuming?

Thank you for creating the HazzardNet and maintaining it for all these years MM. Hazzard County has been a big part of my life since I was 19 and it first came on. There are two places I turn when life gets crazy....God and the Dukes. That reminds me of my favorite quote from the show. It is from Jesse's old flame Lucinda Meadows in the episode The Legacy. "I put myself in the hands of the Lord and He put me in the hands of the Dukes and I guess maybe you couldn't get a better combination than that." The Dukes would still have been a big part of my life even if the HN had never existed but thanks to you MM the Dukes experience has been so much better. I miss the folks who used to be here in the past but the folks here now who are the new cornerstones of this place are fantastic and I consider them to be my friends and am very appreciative of everything they post. We love you MM.

Thanks Hoss. I wasn't expecting that much information but I sure appreciate it. I guess that means that you really don't have someone who is viewed as a Washington figure. I also assume you don't have an equivalent to our Founding Fathers. If you asked an American on the street to name our Founding Fathers most of them could name several. Could a random person walking in London name several kings and queens from hundreds of years ago who helped to form modern England? Are they revered there like our Founding Fathers are here? Your lists weren't exactly loaded with them.

Hoss, over here George Washington is our most celebrated historical figure. Since most countries in Europe have a much older recorded history does that mean that none of them really have the equivalent of Washington?

Just got done watching Hazzardville Horror. When Mary Lou Pringle leaves town at the end Luke gets a big sloppy KISS but she then turned to Bo and only shook his hand. He wasn't too happy.

I don't think you should be friendly to Hoss any more Hobie. After all, he is from Europe and that means his kind of folks were the original yankees. Hmmm, come to think of it ...you Southern rednecks have roots in Europe too so his kind of folks were also the original rednecks so he can't be all bad....in fact I think I'd better rewatch "Duke of Dukes" to see if I can figure out how all this works 'cause I'm clearly confused. I think we can all agree that Hoss is only half bad.
