Say no to Wal-Mart for Christmas I was pretty angry last year, as I'm sure many of you were when Wal-Mart decided to get rid of layaway. That was a pretty dumb and mean-spirited decision on their part. I personally know many people who are only able to buy Christmas presents for their families because of layaway. Well they're playing Scrooge again this year, though they may very well have done this in the past without anybody noticing. A month ago, a friend of mine sent me the money to buy her a 1:10 scale remote controlled General Lee at Wal-Mart. Here's where the Scrooge part comes in, a month ago the price was 30 dollars. I thought I may buy one for myself. So …

I remember there being post about before about before and after pictures of hazzard county . Does anyone know the link for this?

Sometimes I stumble on quotes of famous writers that really made me wonder, saying, "WOW it's SO true", and made me ponder on various side of life, learning a lot of myself and of people around me. I recently found this one: "People who are unable to lie, think that everybody is unable to lie", Kafka. "In your life you'll meet a lot of masks and few persons", Luigi Pirandello (GREAT italian writer). Somewhere I read that "any of us looks for something of himself into books". Actually I'm a bit too much into understanding how people relate to each other, what's honesty, what's idealism, what's duplicity, what's opportunism, and so on (how much of it there is in any of us),…

I know this is a weird question but where are you when you get on HazzardNet? For me, right now I'm in my computer class. I also get on at my house on my computer, sometimes my mom's when I need to.

Today Is David Hasselhoff's birthday he turns 56 years old.

I'm back now. I completely missed this place. My life changed a lot while I've been gone, and I've gone through a lot of changes myself. I'm almost at the end of my junior year in high school and I'm 16 now! I remember I signed up here at like 13! Seems so long ago. I even have already been to my Junior Prom, as well as getting my barrel racing career going again. Other minimal changes such as getting my ears pierced for a second time, new hair styles and experimenting with makeup have gone down but over time I really never lost my love for Dukes of Hazzard. Even when I manage to slink away from it..Something..Though I'm not sure what yet, pulls me right back in. Maybe it…

As y'all know, I'm not from the US, but I'm aware that a lot of you are. Since I've been on HNet I've made a conscious effort to try to spell words the American way (when I remember there's a difference) - I just thought it would make things easier. George Bernard Shaw said "England and America are two countries separated by a common language.". We have trousers and pavements, y'all have pants and sidewalks (although trousers are called pants here in Ireland), but sometimes we even spell common words differently. I found the following spelling test on quiz site Sporcle earlier. It gives the US spelling of 44 words and you have to enter the British spelling. It was probabl…

We're off to an Alan Jackson concert tonight and have 5th row seats on the floor in front of the stage. I'm not a huge fan but my wife is. I just became a bigger fan a few minutes ago when I checked wickapedia and found out he was raised dirt poor in Georgia. I'm wearing my 01 hat and orange Dukes shirt just in case he notices....they are bright colors after all....and the hat was signed by another Georgia boy, Sonny Shroyer. I'll just bet ya that 'ole Alan is a Dukes fan.

Kansas City Chiefs....34 Tampa Bay Bucs.......17

I just read online that Leslie Nielson, of Naked Gun and Airplane! fame, died today. He is one funny man that will be missed!

How about a little trivia not related to our favorite show? You can post as many questions as you want. I'd suggest not overwhelming people with too many at one time. I'll start with these three. 1) What is Linus and Lucy's last name on Charlie Brown? (aka Peanuts) 2) What's longer, a meter or a yard? 3) What sport is Patrick Ewing famous for?

Khee! Post em.

I dunno how many of y'all have heard...but Farrah Fawcett passed away this morning, losing her battle with cancer. She was a wonderful actress and person that will be greatly missed by many people. I want to say , I sure do miss it here, been Depressed a lot and trying to deal with it, but It is just hard. Some people tell me to go see a psychologist, and I would, but it gets on my nerves when they just sit there and nod...grrrr To make things more aggravating, I have to do it all over again with a psychiatrist ?? Why can't I just go to the psychiatrist right off the bat??? I know I need help, and my nerves are shot along other problems, I am at a lost really. I see my " Name that episode " topic of mine is still booming, that made me smile, and oh boy, am I ever behind on what's been going on here. I will do my best to catch up .... I am sorry I was away so long..…

Howdy Y'all...There is a news story right now saying that tomorrow may be the end of the world. I dunno if y'all heard it or but I was just wonderin what y'all thought...to make it short for those who ain't heard...there are these scientist(in Switzerland(sp) I think) who tomorrow morning(Wednsday) they are going to shoot particles at each other hoping that they can recreate what happened with the theory 'the big bang'. THey want to find what the universe is made of and have spent billions of dollars on it...There are some saying that by doing this it is going to create microscropic black holes that are goin to gobble the world up and well THE END....thats it in a nutshel…

My fiance' went to the hospital yesterday after coughing up blood and they took an xray. All he knows so far is there's something wrong in his lungs. He'll be going in for more tests. I'm headed up there today (3-hour bus ride) since I get a three-day weekend for the King's birthday. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Thanks. Amanda Coltrane (aka Amanda of Jamanda)

Hi ya'll my computer stopped working.

Hey y'all, I thought it would be ok to post this here since many of you are like a second family to me. My beloved aunt Dixie (honest that's her name) passed away this afternoon after a long battle with brain cancer. It's been a very hard couple of weeks for my family. Would you all just keep us in your thoughts and prayers? Thanks.

I am on Facebook finally.

Hey y'all I'm watching a show on tv at the moment that's about what's going to happen on December 21st 2012. Some of it is pretty believable but most of it seems dramatized. Personally I don't think the worlds going to end I'm December but I'm just curious to see what you guys think. It's always interesting to see people's opinions on topics like this.

I just wanted to wish ya'll Happy New Year!!!

Name at least one thing you want to accomplish in 2022. If you want to make the post more interesting, name a bunch.
