1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls. 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. Wishing everyone here and their families at HazzardNet a very Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings lots of goodies to everyone. We got through another year and the Holidays are upon us. It is a time to reflect that we are fortunate enough to spend it with family and friends. Some of us aren't that lucky but they are in our prayers and thoughts. Okay, who's excited? I start getting excited about the most wonderful time of the year way earlier than most folks. I love Halloween but on November First I start singing Christmas songs in my head.....and I never complain about all those early Christmas commercials.

We have Christmas threads for a lot of Christmases so I was a bit bothered that 2023 would go by without one in this section with the others . So, here I am singing Christmas carols all by myself. What do you usually give out for Chrsitmas? For Christmas I give out; Ten cans of Skoal and some Red man in my dad and grandpa's stockings, and twenty scratchers to everyone else in their stockings. They all love it especially when they win Money, so I just give them the same things every, and if I'm not there I just sent it to them, they always know what they're getting.

You can't have Christmas without cookies! My family comes from a line of bakers, so we bake starting weekend after Thanksgiving and by Christmas we have dozen of dozens of cookies in the house. Last year we had frozen cookies that lasted until March. Pendragon

Sorry about not having any festivities this year. I've been sick and very busy at work. Because I'm a contractor, I really don't have any sick leave available, so I've had to work through my illnesses (3 colds this year and a sinus infection), so they've been lingering. I am taking a few days off around Christmas, though, to recuperate. I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to all of you on HazzardNet. I hope 2014 is prosperous, happy, and healthy for all of you.

Okay, it's a little early for this and I'll bring it up again but I had an idea and wanted to get some initial reaction to it. Even if only one other person wants to do this, I'd like to. I thought we should all try to watch "The Great Santa Claus Chase" (season 3) at the exact same time when it gets close to Christmas. I think it would be a nice way for the Hazzardnet family to get together for a Christmas party. The next few days after that, we could all send posts giving our thoughts on that episode. Two questions: Hoss, what is the latest (in eastern standard time) that you could participate? To the rest of you: What days would you not be available in the early evening? I was thinking Friday Dec 16 might be nice since Dukes used to be on Fridays.

YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAW! I was shopping in my friendly neighborhood Kmart Super Center and what did I see but a banjo pickin' Christmas CD! So with delight, I snatched it off the counter and took it to the checkout to purchase it right. So now as I sit typing away, I listen to christmas tunes of banjos so gay! Ever wonder why evergreens are used in traditional Christmas decorating? Well it has to do with the Greeks and Romans. They threw a party every year around the winter Solicist time to try to bring back spring and make the 'gods and goddesses' happy again.
