DukesFest & Other Events

I don't about the rest of you but the closer it gets to Dukefest the more excited I get. It's hard to believe that next weekend. I'll be at Dukes fest. I can't wait. This will be the first time for me. I can't wait to go.

Has anyone that's ever been to Dukefest ever taken a model car to be autographed? I'm wanting to get the cast to sign my General Lee then buy a display case to keep it in that would be so awesome I think. I read on Cooter's that you could get two things signed for free and if I'm reading it correctly there's items to buy and get autographed at their tables but you don't have to purchase something but you can bring something to be signed? There is a section at dukesfest 06 where you can enter a model from a movie or another tv show and I was wondering if I could enter my rusty General Lee model in that section from the beginning of the movie? The reason I ask this to you all is because Ben Jones was completely against the movie and im not sure he would let me enter it. I would like your opinions because I am currently adding details and fixing mistakes to make it better for the contest. Thanks.

Does anyone think or know if there is going to be another Dukesfest in 2006? I didnt even know there was one this year until a week before it, so i wasnt able to go.

does anyone know anything about the show car entry to dukefest 2006? we're from massachusetts, it took us 24 hours to get down there pulling our black general last year, and once there it took us forever to figure out how to get it into the show...we even missed most of the first day. this year i hope to figure that all out before we leave... if we aren't sure about getting the car in the show, we might not pull it down with us again plus, we heard that there was a breakfast for general lee owners, but we didn't learn about it soon enough, does anybody know of anything that is happening around dukefest that car owners ar invited to? we spent alot of time getting ready fo…

Just curious... What cast members will be at Duke Fest this year? I know Ben Jones and James Best will be there, but who else? There's something on this board that says Sonny won't be there. Any other info on who will be there?

I think it would be a cool idea since the show is back and so many more people are getting in to it to have like a small tour or something so that people from other states who cannott go or cannott afford the trip can still get a chance. Might be a cool idea?

All I can say is...holy cow, what a crowd! Huge turnout. CMT has been filming and interviewing all over the place. As far as the biggest draw, it's hard to say whether the autograph opportunites with John and Cathy were the prime interest - or, if the "Ride in a General Lee" opportunity is what brought 'em in. The "Ride in a General Lee" attraction had lines that ran between 4 and 5 hours long. And this was with a fleet of General Lees running on the track. But the once-in-a-lifetime chance seemed worth the wait to those I spoke to. There's no doubt that "Bo Duke" hasn't lost a thing in charisma. HEY its me again----I was an extra in teh DOH movie-and i kept all of yall updated well here s an update for ya! ! ! ! Hadnt had a chance to post -been very busy. Got a call last week from someone thats involved in the filming of the movie. She told me they need me to go back to Clinton, LA tomorrow (6/2/05) because something about they forgot the openin scene that tells about the town of Hazzard or some sort. So she had gotten a call from LA last week tellin her to round some of the extras up for shooting-ALL of the main actors got called in also--she said it s really crazy, bein that the movie will be out AUGUST 5th! ! ! !.

I JUST GOT AN E-MAIL from Sonnny's agent and he told me due to family commitmemnts, SONNY will not be doing any guest appearances in the month of JUNE. So he will not be at DUKE FEST. I am still waiting to see if I hear from Don Pedro Cooley's agent to see if he will be there. DUKE OUT
