August 27Aug 27 The world lost a legend. My favorite Dolly song is Islands in the Stream. I always liked her but never was a superfan. And of course she has a Hazzard connection with her sister Stella appearing on the show.
August 28Aug 28 When there were fires in the Smokies, she paid for people's houses and stuff.......I always said, if a cop ever pulled her over for speeding, in Gatlinburg ( Where the Smokies are), he wouldn't have the guts to give her a ticket! Everybody in that area owes her a lot....a WHOLE lot! She could've probably commited crimes in that area, ( if Dolly would ever do that...and she wouldn't!) and they'd never find a jury in that area to convict her! They would never be able to seat an impartial jury anywhere near that area!
August 29Aug 29 It turns out that there's a place called Parton in the north of England. After Dolly's death, someone added stickers to one of the signs to read "Dolly PARTON R.I.P." - see the story here.
August 31Aug 31 Just after Dolly's death was announced last week, the King's Guard performed a tribute outside Buckingham Palace.
September 3Sep 3 9 To 5 was my anthem when I was working in tech and was burned out. LOL. Some days, it was the only thing keeping me going. RIP Dolly.
