I know that Dukesfest just started today and unfortunatly I didn't get to go so Im stuck at my house woderin how much fun y'all are havin...So when y'all git back I would love to hear how things went? Did ya have a lot of fun? How was the weather? How long you had to wait in line and all that kind of stuff...Im just curious...cant wait to hear bout it! N sorry if my questions sounded stupid.

does anyone know anything about the show car entry to dukefest 2006? we're from massachusetts, it took us 24 hours to get down there pulling our black general last year, and once there it took us forever to figure out how to get it into the show...we even missed most of the first day. this year i hope to figure that all out before we leave... if we aren't sure about getting the car in the show, we might not pull it down with us again plus, we heard that there was a breakfast for general lee owners, but we didn't learn about it soon enough, does anybody know of anything that is happening around dukefest that car owners ar invited to? we spent alot of time getting ready fo…

This is not official DukesFest information - but since it's being held at this venue, I took it upon myself to snoop for some info. Looks like the Motorplex is smack-dab in town. I wouldn't book a room yet, though - DukesFest will probably carve out some good deals, and I know Cootersplace.com will list official lodging in the near future. Does anyone know what the General Lee that made the jump at Dukesfest 08 brought at auction? What about the 2 police cars? Someone had to hang around long enough to know.

I get e-mails from Cooter's and got a notice today that Pigeon Forge is closing. Nashville and Luray will remain open. Maybe Hoss can post a link.

I'm wondering if anybody is going? I'm not seeing a whole lotta buzz on their Facebook about it, and our promotional efforts on FB got a limited response. We've mentioned the event in our prior newsletter, and I put it on the home page tonight just as a reminder. The ticket prices are reasonable, so I'm wondering what's holding people back...too far away? Gas prices? Too much like Hazzard Homecoming? Too close to Sperryville? Where the hell is Galax? The only thing that kinda makes me go "hmm", is the fact they're already promoting their own hats and t-shirts for the event. To their credit, they look very professional and well-made. Yet... Well y'all you heard right...Tom Wopat is finally coming to my state and I will finally be able to meet him!!!! After going to a few Dukefests and other smaller Duke related events, he is the one living actor on the show that I have yet to meet or get an autograph (well I don't have Coy's autograph or met him...). And it is even looking like I will be able to go!!! So if anyone is interested, in the area, or what not...Tom Wopat is coming to Monticello, Iowa on February 21 and 22!!!!! I apologize, I do not have the times or exact location with me at the time. He will be at a car show. I thought I would spread the word in case anyone else can make it. I am a bit excited…

Please don't hate me. The Dukes are way down there in Dixie and I'm up north in Pennsylvania. I hope I don't get anybody mad with this suggestion. Has anybody thought of more than one Dukes Fest? I'm not proposing that us northern Dukes should have something as big as the real Dukes Fest. I'm not suggesting they be in competition or anything like that. I have a favor to ask anyone who is going to Dukesfest. If possible can someone find out and post what is Dever Pyles correct birthday. Is it May 11th or is it Dec 25. This question is really bugging me, and I figured that maybe the answer can be gotten at Dukefest if anyone is able to talk with Ben, Cathy, James, John, Sonny, Tom or anyone else who is there and worked on the show. Thanks. Unfortunatly I am unable to make it.

dukesfest 08 was awesome i had a 2 day pass so i was there to witness everything this was my first year im glad i got to go because james best probably wont be here much loger i hope i get 2 go again
