Folks, I post this here in remembrance of the college students at VA Tech. Being in college myself, (if you haven't figured it out from my little posts in the swamp about getting out of Chemistry class and about DOH frat) it strikes a cord with me. No one expects to go to class then wind up losing a friend or losing their own life because of someone else's recklessness. It also sickens me to know that there are people that distraught with their lives about a 'break up' that they resort to this kind of behavior. It's uncalled for. I was watching this annual auto auction and this 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible in a loud yellow with Black roof and it sold for $280,000 dollars I couldn't believe it. I know whoever bought that car is going to enjoy there new Shelby, does anybody know anything about this is car and what KR stands for as well.

Today was a good day. My family shows show cattle, breeding stock cattle to be exact. Today was our county fair's beef show and we took Resv. Champion in our breed class. I was showing the winning heifer and she behaved very well in the arena. This was the first time in about two years that I actually touched a cattle halter or a show stick and showed a cow. I have been away at college and work, trying very hard to find my place in the world. When I was with those heifer's working with them getting them ready in the morning for the show, I could feel the experience I've had with cattle all come rushing back to me. So we've been sitting in the house for two days straight. On Wednesday my husband worked and I drove around grabbing supplies like canned goods, water, dog food, and extra gas. ON thursday it hit and we've been stuck inside since. Have you people any idea just how bored I am. I've already been outside just to look around and see what's been going on. The swamp back behind grandma mc kendree is almost up to her door. I"m thinking I'm going to be taking lots of pictures, especially since the folks up the street lost a pecan tree. Sad too, that tree always put out alot of nuts.
