Does anyone else think that they fact they are using like '80s Caprices as the Hazzard County sherriffs cars in the movie is totally gay? I mean when I was a kid growing up in the late 90s and first got into the Dukes, I'd fantasize about what the show would be like with modern cars esp like Crown Vic police cars.... Keep the General a 69 Charger, but for god's sake why they used Caprices is totally beyond me... If they wanted to be like the old show, get 76 Furys, or if they wanted to modernize the whole thing (which I think they did) why not use 99-present Crown Vics!!! Its completely insane to me... To everyone here at H-Net...... I want to take the time to apologize for my recent sort of argumentative style. As most know that is not what I like to do. One of the highlights of the Dukes movie was that awesome chase in downtown Atlanta after Daisy, Annette and Katie sprung Bo & Luke. In the background(after Luke ticked off Bo for stealing Katie), we heard AC/DC's If You Want Blood in the background. What songs/musical pieces do you think would fit this chase? Hi, everyone. I'm new to Hazzardnet, but I thought you guys would like an update on the movie from a local. I live in Clinton, LA, where the majority of the movie is to be filmed. Filming is to begin at Cooter's Rebel Repair today at 3:00 p.m. The shop (formerly Red's Body Shop) has been there for many years, but the production crews have updated it quite a bit to look like Cooters. There are camera crews, camera equipment, and 18-wheelers full of stuff everywhere. The production company has practically taken over the local private school. I just have to say I thought the movie was great! I saw the first showing in my town on Friday, and I really had a blast. The theater was half full, which I thought was awesome for being so early in the afternoon. I separated the movie from the series going into it, which is probably one of the reasons I was able to enjoy it. I accepted it on its own merits, because you can't really compare it to the show, although there are certainly elements throughout the film that capture the spirit of the show. Let me stir things up a little bit. Please feel free to disagree. The first reunion movie had a great plot but I refuse to buy the DVD. Here's why.. Daisy, Bo and Luke would have never left Uncle Jesse at the farm alone like they did. I could have probably handled it a little better if all 3 of them would have announced at the end of the movie that they were back in Hazzard to stay but they didn't (correct me if I'm wrong with that statement, I've only seen it once). What makes this especially troubling is how frail Jesse looked when he was left to the farm alone. I'm sure he gave them his blessing to go but that's not the point.
