I've gotta say that after reading the article about the new movie on MTV's website and seeing the pics from the set, I'm pretty excited about it. I'm glad that they're not trying to make a carbon copy of the T.V. show but they're still trying to capture the spirt of it. I agree with Knoxville when he said that John and Tom would always be the real Bo and Luke. I would've liked to see some pics of Boss and Uncle Jesse but I guess they're keeping them under wraps. The new roscoe does look different and they said he's not gonna have his trademark laugh, which is alright cause nobody can really do it well except Mr. Best (Although Bo Jackson does a pretty good imitation..…

Last night at a friend of mines house, she showed me a website from a auto body and graphic design shop in Phenoix, AZ. I guess it's a pretty well known one because they created the cars for I-Robot, Demolition Man and some other movie I've never heard of. On the site they talked about how they were contracted by Warner Bros. to design a "more contemporary" General Lee for the movie. They actually built three of them and I guess Warner Bros. were actually seriously considering using their version but a few months before they started filming they changed their minds and decided to stick with the real General. Anyone know who will be the narrator in the Dukes of Hazzard the beginning?

Not sure if this was brough up yet or not....haven't seen it here...but browsing over at IMDB.com and they had some casting information in there I had not seen yet. The main surprise was Lynda Carter of Wonder Woman fame. She is in the movie as Pauline, I believe. A couple of other folks who I had not heard of before...but there is a picture of a blonde girl on the main page who is in the movie. Anyway, didn't know if ya'll knew of Wonder Woman being in the film....

Last night I attended the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie premiere in Hollywood and had a fantastic time. It took all day to get there, actually all day and half the day before and half of today...long story! Quick review: Amazing car work in the movie. The language is not always great, but the fun is there as is the BO/Luke relationship. I'm buying the 1975 movie Moonrunners and I going to watch the new Dukes movie. I've heard that Moonrunners is horrible, but I also know that Moonrunners was the inspiration for the Dukes of Hazzard. With all the hype that is going on with this new movie, I'm starting to feel like this movie will be a real turd. I thought, to make things interesting, I would watch both films and see which one has better characters, better car chases, and, pretty much, which one is the bigger disappointment. If you've seen Moonrunners put in your two cents.

Since some of us can't be "True" DOH fans (unless we are fanatics ) if we want to see the movie and judge for ourselves. This isn't asking if you are going to buy it, just see it. You don't have to like what they are doing and the movie will probably be not on par as the 2005 movie because of the budget. But maybe you want to see it just out of curiousity or to see the General Lee in a movie again. Whatever reason is yours. After all this is HazzardNet - the best Damn Dukes site out there. I just found out that the reason why the Dukes movie has been pushed back to August 5th. The reason is that Warner Brothers have made 2 car movies for this summer. The Dukes of Hazzard and a new Herbbie movie.. They have decided now to put out the Herbbie film first. Someone at Warners must have thought it was a better idea to do this.

It has been 21 years since the 2005 movie was released. Like many here, I followed the production avidly in 2004-2005. At the time I was a freshman in college. Today I'm 40 years old. LOL I've always had mixed feelings about the movie. While it might have some entertainment value as a movie by itself, it isn't the movie that the Dukes fanbase had hoped for.

Here's a loose rumor I picked up in the alley, take it for what it's worth... The issue at stake for Jennifer Simpson and Britney Spears isn't just the role of Daisy Duke. Whoever is awarded the role, will allegedly have the chance to record a song for the movie soundtrack. This is an interestin' grain of gossip. Take, for comparison, the Starksy & Hutch movie. It didn't have anything overwhelming in the way of a soundtrack. There were the expected 70's tunes, a mix of classic rock and disco, but nothing that gave the movie added punch.
