Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

This could possibly take weeks but since there is an interest in it I'll get started. I'm going to compile a list of residents of Hazzard as well as relatives that may or may not be residents. I'm not sure how many I'll do every time I post. I likely won't be consistent. As long as the interest remains I will continue to add to the list. If you want to know which episode the person was on I can look it up.

Did I miss something here? An alien? Must've lost interest the Dukes back then. I looked on wikipedia and was wondering if these different story plots are the reason why the show came to an end. Discuss anything in the final season here.

all my other DVDs seem to work ok except for season 3 disk 2 side B it played oncee then it neverplayed again, theres no scratches , side B just dosent play but side A does. what could be wrong? what are your problems wih the DVDs?

Now, is it just me, or has CMT not been showing the Dukes as much as they have before?? I thought the schedule was 7 PM, Monday through Friday??? It seems like in the past two weeks, every night I turned CMT on, at 7, there was something else on, anything but the Dukes.....is CMT trying to cut back on the Dukes? You don't think they'd possibly take them off syndication?? I will be pretty darn mad if they do!! I think it's safe to say the Dukes are still their highest rated show, if not then one of the highest! Breaker! Breaker! Calling all citizens of Hazzard County! I am looking for information on any, and all CB radios used in the tv series. Bo & Luke had a Cobra 78X in the General, but I don't know what everyone else used. I have always planned to search the episodes to put together a complete history on this, but I have yet to do so. I am going to start with episode 1 to see what I can find. Please add screenshots if you can. Looking for pictures and info on the radios, mics, antennas, and base stations shown throughout the show, and movies. Thanks everyone!

What is it about a show from the 1980's that appeals to today's generation ? granted I'm a second generation fan, I find Dukes funny entertaining and better than anything out there on t.v. today.how do Y'all feel about the Dukes, what's the show mean to you ?

Dukes of Hazzard Fun Fact: Did you know In the flashback episode Season 7 Episode 1 Happy Birthday, General Lee the 1st jump was an accident. Then they discovered they liked it and in later stories started doing it on purpose. The 1st jump was when running away from the gold dust robbers the Charger had originally belonged to when it was black before the Dukes bought it and painted it orange put the flag name and number on it and built the race car with it. They had the Gold dust stashed behind the dashboard and wanted it back.

There's been alot of bashing of season 7-not on this site though. Here's my opinion. Yes it was different. There were weird things involved-an alien and a robot. A trip to Hollywood. Flashbacks of the past(Happy Birthday General Lee and Go West Young Dukes). It just was not like the other seasons. But I wouldn't say it's the worst. If you asked me which season was the worst, I really couldn't answer that question. It had some cheesy, even stupid episodes, but so did the other seasons. Maybe just on a slightly larger scale. I had a question about Hobie....I forgot who played Hobie and I also ( and this is what really bugs me!) can't remember....WHERE HAVE I SEEN HIM BEFORE??? He used to be on something before the Dukes! I think he MAY have played a drunk then to....???

Can anyone know how old Cooter is during the show?

I have a suggestion. Why don't we have a Dukes Of Hazzard Holiday? We could decide what day it will be and what we will do to celebrate the greatest show ever to be on TV. We could celebrate it every year....same day, month etc.

Has anyone had any problems with the Season 4 DVD? Just got a Region 2 DVD set from play.com and I found that Disc 4 would not play on either side from about 36 minutes in. I sent that back and the replacement arrived today. It's got exactly the same problem on Disc 4. It either skips and pauses from 36 minutes onward or won't start to play any of the later episodes. Have I just been really unlucky to get two faulty DVD sets or is there known to have been problems with that particular DVD?

There have to be some CB radio enthusiasts out there- anyone ever pay attention to the CB radios used on the show? I'm sure somebody has pegged the kind used in the General Lee, but what about other characters? The patrol cars, Jesse, Cooter, Daisy, etc.? Also, the CB base stations at the Duke farm, etc. I'll start off: I have only looked into one, and that is the base station used in Cooter's Garage. Its a radio shack REALISTIC TRC-432 NAVAJO CB base station (with the brand name blacked out with black tape). From what I can tell, its the same kind throughout the series, but I could be wrong on that. He does use a couple different types of microphones though. Mar…

For years I've noticed the Hazzard Police sign at the WB set had neon tubes but I don't think I've ever seen it lit. Was it a real neon sign or just for 'show'?

I've been trying to sign in for a week or two and no go! Was I banned or do they not let TV drunks on anymore or....????

I just got gone watching "The Great Santa Claus Chase" and will watch the Dukes cartoon Christmas show when my grandkids come over tomorrow. I hope everybody has a very merry Christmas and as Boss says at the end of the episode "And God bless us every one."

I know there is currently an up-roar in the sports world about the Confederate Flag and how it stands for hate and horrible times in the South. Why would they choose that to put on The General? Or what did it mean to them? Thank you, Chad

Hey everybody, I was just thinking, you know the scenes of the episodes they show, while they're playing the music and the show is coming on? Well, we all know the episodes that the scenes are from but there's one on Coy and Vance's episodes that I don't think ever really happened. Remember when Coy threw Vance a dish in the kitchen and uncle Jesse gave them a hard look? I don't remember that from any episode, do you? ( I'm on season 5 and watching " The Return of The Mean Green Machine " as I type this)

What are ya'lls favorite special features on the DOH DVDs..... i loved the BBQ and the Good Ol' Friends ones, but then again I loved all the special features....lol!!
